Neat old farm house with matching decor. Temperature was very comfortable. Beds were also very comfortable. Plenty of room for 6 of us. Loved the screened in porch with overhead fans. Family room seating could be a little better - chairs were old and couch is stiff. Also, master toilet was unpredictable and sometimes gurgled. Other than that this place was perfect!
We enjoyed our stay overall at the home however there were a few things that could have been improved upon. The internet is extremely unreliable and slow. The wifi barely stretches past the kitchen. I was planning on working while there and I could not. The furniture needs repair and there some of the decorations could be cleaned up. I believe the house was not as clean as it could have been because there was just too much stuff to dust. It was a nice relaxing location and we enjoyed our stay however as the title says we just expected more for the price.
Very peaceful, nice views.
Loved our time in this authentic southern style home. My dog enjoyed the surroundings, and although we're not use to the heat of that particular weekend, rallied with the air conditioning and overall vibe your home had to offer. Even extended my stay 1 more night. Ann was very responsive and someone I'd love to meet in person. True southern charm!
My mother and I stayed as extended guests in this charming home. We had a very nice stay, and the owner was very attentive and prompt in taking care of anything we needed. I highly recommend this home!!
The property and house were clean and beautiful! The air conditioning worked great because it was HOT the week we visited Clarksville. The WiFi worked great too! I enjoyed the enclosed wrap around porch every morning as I drank my coffee. Would stay here again!
We had a great experience staying at this property. It was a beautiful, quiet rural setting but still only 10 minutes or so to restaurants and shopping in Clarksville. The house has a lot of history and charm. It was comfortable and we were provided with all the amenities we would need, such as wifi, a/c and access to a washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable and each of the three bedrooms had its own bathroom and shower. The wrap around screened in porch seemed to be the social gathering place where everyone would have their morning coffee and hang out at the end of the day. The owner was welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was perfect. We loved it.
Beautiful home & surrounding property...very comfortable. Great place for visiting our son at Ft Campbell...
We wanted to spend the Fourth of July at Campbell Army Base where my grandson is stationed. The house ended up being a little further to the base than expected but it was perfect for our family vacation. We loved the wrap around porch and will always cherish the time we spent playing cards and enjoying quality time with each other. Ann was very nice and everything was as described on the site. I highly recommend it. Marcela Murad
Quiet, peaceful, very comfortable home, everything we needed and will definitely recommend!
As my son, who is stationed at Ft. Campbell, said: It feels like home. We will be returning often. Ms Ann was a great help to us, and everything was perfect.
The history of this home was enough to make us fall in love. Coming from South Florida it was nice to spend some time in a old farm house on a beautiful piece of property. The teenagers loved waking up and going outside to greet the cows next door. It was close enough to stores and restaurants but still seemed secluded. The front porch was nice and comfortable perfect place to relax. It was less then an hour drive to Nashville and 30 minutes from the Army base. Would definitely go again. Thank you Ann for the hospitality and allowing us to spend some time in a very special home.
My brother and his crew stayed there for a while. They loved the peaceful setting. They really enjoyed their stay.
What a lovely home and setting. We had more amenities there than we have at home. Beautifully decorated with antiques and it was a restful stay. You're close to great restaurants and shopping. We plan to make this a yearly vacation destination. Tom and Charlotte
This is one of the best travel decisions I've made. It is absolutely one of the most comfortable and relaxing places to stay. We used the home as a gathering place for family in area. We spent most of our three days there on the screened porch playing with granddaughter, watching the cows meander, and listening to the birds singing. So quiet and such a serene setting but mere miles from grocery shopping and/or eating spots. Ann was a pleasure to deal with and makes arrival and departure easy with no worries. Everything was clean, beds extremely comfortable with plenty of extra bedding in case of a chilly night.
We had a great stay and really appreciated all of the communications with Ann. Thank you for a great stay!
A beautiful antique home set in a pastoral Tennessee landscape. All the necessary amenities and the beds are wonderful. Close to Clarksville and less than 45 minutes outside downtown Nashville. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Can't wait to go back!
What a great place to spend Christmas! Beautifully furnished and maintained and very well set up for entertaining, not to mention the rolling hills, forest, and pastures around it.l
We found this beautiful gem perfect for a family weekend. The site does not oversell the beauty of the home and it's appointments and surroundings. With a 100 year old home we were concerned that it might be drafty and cold but they have excellent heat and the home is rock solid. Ann was great to deal with and you can tell that she has put a lot of TLC into this southern classic home in which she was raised. If you are looking for a lovely, quiet retreat which is only 10 mins from town this is your spot. Kick your shoes off and stay a while.
We had the pleasure of being the first family to rent this 112 year old county home. Ann was great to work with and a very good host. You will get off of I-24 at Clarksville’s Exit 11, we found the home easily using our GPS. If you like being out of the city and in the quiet country where wildlife is in abundance, you will love this home. We only saw one home on the road before this home and a couple of others past it, so we found it to be very quiet. We saw many deer and wild turkey every evening, and there are cattle in pastures surrounding the home. The road to this home is curvy and hilly, a motorcyclists dream. However, there are many driveways and of course the wildlife, so you have to be extra careful. It is obvious that this home was very well built, and has been lovingly cared for over the years. It has been updated to include a bathroom for all three bedrooms. Although the two showers upstairs are quite small they still get the job done. The beds were very comfortable and there is a large screen TV in each bedroom. We found the kitchen to be well stocked with items we needed. The large electric stove worked great when we baked a couple of Papa Murphy’s pizzas for dinner. There is also a toaster oven, coffee pot and blender. The home is full of many antiques and unique items collected over the years. If you have small children you will need to be extra careful in this home. The wrap-around, screened in porch was outstanding! I loved sitting there morning and night. The scenery was gorgeous and the furniture was comfy. I would love to return and sleep on the porch! There is also plenty of room outdoors for yard games; however, you will need to bring them with you. Although there is a ramp to enter the enclosed porch, there are steps and stairs to get in and around the home. There is one bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. We spent a lot of our time in Nashville which is an hour’s drive. Traffic into and out of Nashville can be bad. We also did some shopping and dining in Clarksville. There are lots of restaurants and shopping at Exit 4 off of I-24.
