Experience what it's like to live on one of the clearest lakes in the area. Fishing, jet skiing, swimming, tubing, and bonfires all in your backyard. For the little ones, there's a playground area and a big front and back yard for creative minds to explore. For the adults, there's a back porch to relax and drink coffee in the morning or sunbathe out on the raft by the lake. At night, the family can enjoy a relaxing bonfire with a lakefront background. Just 7 miles away, there's a variety of activities and attractions to explore such as, shopping, the lake beach, restaurants, and more. This Detroit Lakes luxury home is the perfect combination of a relaxing country setting and a family adventure.
400 miles of snowmobile trails connect to the lake.
great wooded lot with excellent views of the lake. Wade was very responsive to questions we had . Enjoyed the 2 weeks there.
Perfect for what we were looking for. Thank you very much.
We have been coming up to Detroit Lakes for an August vacation for over 35 years and finally decided to try a VRBO there instead of renting multiple cabins. So glad we did!!! We rented this home for an 8-night family stay with our adult children. We had seven people (three couples and our son) in our party. The home was comfortable and easy to find. Detroit Lakes was less than 10 minutes away which we are very familiar with. I thoroughly loved the living room with the big windows to the lake and it had plenty of seating for settling in late at night. The dining room had two separate tables which was nice because we used one for sunglasses and a laptop, and the larger one fit our family for dining. The kitchen allowed for plenty of room for the family to navigate, and the larger table in dining room held us perfectly for meals and games. We played cornhole bags on the front lawn because it was flatter and stored all of our boating/waterskiing and wakeboarding equipment in the garage. The water can be used from the tap for drinking and ice and I found the taste good though most of us drank bottled water anyway. The lake was really great for watersports and fishing. We were NOT disappointed! Caught northern and good-sized bass every day, and any time of the day which made for eager fishermen. It did not take long to catch sunfish for a fish fry. This was our first time here and one of our most fun and relaxing vacations. I took walks every day as well. The only thing to note is that there are a lot of steps to the lake from the house (50 or so) so it would be difficult for older people. We are in our late 50's and our children in their late 20's so we did not have a problem with the stairs. We also brought our Lund Tyee which is a big, deep-v boat. My husband was a little concerned about the dock but we did rig something up with bouys that worked. There was a public boat landing down about a quarter-mile or so, so we weren't overly concerned, but it was nice to keep the boat docked all week. I recommend this home for families and for several couples to rent. You can really spread out if you need the space, or be cozy if you want to! The owners were gracious and very helpful, answering questions and texts promptly.
Our family had a fabulous time at this Lake House. The house has very spacious layout with plenty of room for a large family, we had 10 staying in our group. And it was great for kids too with lots of areas for kids to explore and there is a small playground out front with slide and swing. The best part of the house is the remote feel and beautiful lake views both from the upper deck and the dock at the lake. There is a large multi-section dock with room to tie up boats (the owners have a fishing boat that they graciously let us use) and another platform with a ladder so you can to jump off into the lake and swim. The lake is crystal clear and was great to swim, float, fish in. Caught many fish of all varieties and they have a fish cleaning area in the basement. And on this note, there were all the services and appliances you may need for an extended stay, wifi, cable, washer/dryer, good sized kitchen with plenty of cookware and two grills outdoors. There are other houses along the lake, but there are very spaced out and separated by large trees and other foliage, giving it a sense of remoteness. Basically you would be happy if you were looking for a place to go fishing, have a family fun trip or a nice remote getaway from the world. Overall, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend this lake house.
