A beautiful home tucked into the Nashville hills, just a short drive on freeways to downtown! Perfect to meet with family and friends and enjoy the peace of the country or the excitement of the city! This home has been completely restored with all the amenities: Fiber Optic WiFi internet, cable, phone, pool table, ping pong and a toasty jacuzzi. There are a total of 7 bedrooms in the main house (1 king, 4 queens, 1 twin, and one set of bunk beds) and a studio apartment above the garage with 2 queen beds, with its own microwave, coffee maker, dorm sized fridge and private bathroom (this is available in addition to the main house).
Utterly amazing and secluded very enjoyable and quiet
The house is very spacious. The location was convenient far but not too far. The host is very nice and responsive. The house had great common areas both indoors and outdoors. Great grill area with cover that kept us dry from a lil rain that came through. Only a couple of things that we found to be not so great one being the bathrooms were not well cleaned, and the hot tub water was cloudy so no one wanted to utilize it. The place is a very nice getaway to relax and have some grown up friends and family fun.
Our family chose this VRBO home for our housing for our daughter’s wedding in Portland, Tennessee. It was a wonderful spacious home where our entire extended family stayed comfortably. We enjoyed all the extras, like the pool table and ping pong table and the giant kitchen and dining areas. Perfect for our needs.
Our family had an amazing time at the farmhouse. Kids and adults had tons of fun on the property. With the house being so expansive, we could have spent the entire time at the house enjoying ourselves. But it is also a quick trip to Galatin and not to far from Nashville. We enjoyed traveling to both cities, but also coming back to the quiet home in the woods. The property was clean and well supplied. We really enjoyed the pool table and hiking in the woods with the kids. We would love to stay here again and would recommend this home to any family or group of friends.
This property is country living at its finest...beautiful, fits a large group comfortably, and Jeremy, the owner, is responsive and on it!
We had a family reunion of 14, and we chose a location that was about equidistant for all of us. The home was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped and renovated, the bedrooms exactly as indicated and comfortable. WiFi, cell phone, and television had no problems. The owners were extremely responsive with a question we had about AC (it was just a matter of where the controls were—AC was great). Kids loved the pool table. Close to Mammoth Cave and Nashville!
As a group we have stayed at many places but this place was at the top awesome neighbors beautiful home and set nicely for us to have a great time riding as everything is so close just an hour from Nashville if your planning a motorcycle excursion to Tenn give this a try you will not be disappointed its everything they said it would be . we rode everyday and was awesome to sit around at night in the country. so peaceful.
This was a secluded home that offered privacy and quiet. We reunited with old college friends and their was plenty of room for all our families! Great for kids and adults!! The owners were fabulous to work with. I highly recommend this property.
Nice setting back in the woods very relaxing and very enjoyable nice place to get away from all our regular activities oh so you can enjoy Nashville while you're here
The property and the house are beautiful. It is very peaceful there. It rained our whole trip so the pool table, ping pong table and board games came in handy. I would definitely recommend this property. There are lots of places to sightsee close to the property. We visited Mammoth Cave and Nashville on our stay. The owners are very nice and good at keeping in touch via email and by phone if necessary.
We had a group of friends travel from Iowa and we had an amazing time. Lots of memories were made sitting in the hot tub, around the kitchen island and at the pool table. So much room. We also added the extra bedroom above the garage and that was great too. Jeremy and Corri are great to work with. Highly recommend this home-
We stayed for a week with a group of 11. We had an absolute blast. The house was perfect for our group and provided the secluded setting we were looking for while only being 45 minutes from downtown. We had a small issue with the internet but it was handled as quickly as could possibly be expected! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it!
Had a beautiful time at this house. Met family for in-laws 60 th Wedding Anniversary and had a blast. Lots to do in the house and around the grounds.
We came from California for a family reunion with relatives from Tennessee, Georgia and Indiana... looking for a big country home where we could all be together. I am so thankful we found Duffer Hollow! Beautiful location at the end of a secluded country lane, but not a bad drive into the city. We took many trips to Gallatin (20 min.) and Nashville (40 min.). The house is big - plenty of space for everyone to have their own bedroom. Nice sized kitchen where we all spent hours talking around the island... the kids roamed the creek and the trails and caught fireflies at night. Nice jacuzzi for soaking up (no pun intended!) the summer nights. Only downside was really spotty internet connection, which might be considered an upside to many! Overall, it was a fabulous experience! The house has everything you need to be comfortable, owners are super easy to work with, and our family would definitely stay here again!
This was a great respite in a secluded home surrounded by nature. Our reunion was easily accommodated by the numerous amenities and welcoming atmosphere of this historic home.
The write-up that was provided was spot-on. The property was beautiful and the home was very inviting. There were a few minor things that we encountered upon arrival, but the property manager was readily available to assist us. This was a big plus since the property is sort of secluded. I'm a country Gal so I loved it. This is the perfect place for family and friends to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would stay there again.
We had so much fun! Will definitely be returning in the future!!
We played games, inside and outside, made meals together, enjoyed the firepit and all that was available to us. Great place..
We spent three nights at Duffer Hollow for our daughters wedding in Gallatin. We were on the go most of our time with wedding preparations but we enjoyed playing pool, having a large family breakfast and everyone slept very well in the country
In the beautiful hills that arc across northern Tennessee, not far from Nashville and Old Hickory Lake, sits a big old mansion you can call home for a few days. Big kitchen to fit a crowd. Hot hot tub off the laundry room. Multiple places to sit outside - my fave was the big front porch. Excellent AC - cable TV - games. At one time we had a chess game, a pool game and ping pong all going at the same time. Lots of bathrooms which is important for a crowd. Washer and dryer worked well. The grounds are rustic with lots of wildlife. Other people have covered a lot of these points before. I just wanted to say I would consider staying here again with friends or my family.
This was a great place for our family reunion. Everything was as described. Plenty of peace and quiet, but not too far from Gallatin and Nashville.
The property was beautiful and we spent most of our time either in the large kitchen/dining area or playing pool and ping pong.
Duffer Hollow was not only the perfect location for strategic meetings for our company, it was a restful retreat for our team. We spent 3 days enjoying the home and surrounding property. This location outside of Nashville is the perfect place for a family reunion or corporate meetings. We enjoyed the privacy and appreciated the clean and comfortable spacious home. The sounds of water running down the creek that surround the property while relaxing in the hot tub outside was an added bonus. Pride of ownership and family history is obvious here... Southern Hospitality at it's best!
We all had a great time with our family! We appreciate your house and appreciate you letting us use it!
We had family from Chicago, TN and North Carolina all meet for Christmas here. There was plenty of space and things to do! The ping pong table and pool table were certainly hits for the entire stay. The hot tub was also a great commodity. I have stayed at many VRBO locations, but none have been so well stocked! from spices, nice plates and silverware, to having enough toilet paper for our entire stay! It was all so extremely amazing! We took a walk on Christmas day because it was so beautiful outside and the neighbor at the bottom of the hill was AMAZING!! She took time out of her Christmas, to share her animals and stories with us. Definitely one of my highlights of the entire trip. I had a chance to touch an emu egg!!! Thank you! Thank you for allowing us to stay at this house and create memories of a lifetime!
The Anderson Christmas Party was a great success. We all enjoyed our stay at the Manor and had a wonderful time. As this was the Holiday season it was an awesome surprise to see a Christmas tree and decoration for the holiday season ready and waiting for us and the children to enjoy. We were able to enjoy the out door activities available as the temperature was very nice for us. The Hot Tub, Fire Pit and Grill were available and used for our pleasure. We would like to Thank the family for having us and we will definitely be in touch for future renting. Joseph Anderson
We loved our stay in Bethpage. The house was beautiful - all decorated for Christmas for us. Plenty of space for our large family. Fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed many games on the ping pong table, pool table and made much use of the hot tub! The dryer (which seemed fairly new) broke the first time we used it and they had a service repair man there very promptly to fix it. Upon realizing he had to order a part the housekeeper took it upon herself to take care of all our needs with the dryer. She went above and beyond bringing up dry towels for us. We really appreciated her going the extra step. The house is very unique and charming. We got a good ol game of sardines (similar to hide and seek) with adults and kids playing and had the best time. We will definitely consider renting this house again for our family gatherings.
My family is spread across three states and we wanted to find a place that would accommodate all of us for Thanksgiving - and be an equal distance away for everyone to travel to (out of fairness). We looked through several options on HomeAway & found Hancock Manor to be the best fit. The property was really great - and really remote. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own sleeping quarters and enough spaciousness that we didn't feel like we were on top of each other all the time. The entire family LOVED utilizing the pool and ping pong tables and we greatly enjoyed the fire pit on our last nite there. We had a slight plumbing issue on our first day in the house (due to a pre-existing issue caused by other guests), but the owners were very quick to get a plumber on site to take care of the situation and we didn't experience any real disruption during our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful area to spend time with their large group. And while it IS somewhat remotely located, it's only about a 10-15 minute drive to the nearest large grocery store in Galatin. Oh - and the fresh cookies welcoming us were a huge hit! Pretty sure they were my niece's favorite part! Thank you, Hancocks! We had a great time!
Hancock Manor is spectacular! The drive up the lane to the house is beautiful and upon reaching the house, it simply took your breath away. The ambience of the house, inside and outside, was beautiful, spacious and so, so peaceful! If I had any questions or concerns, Rhonda and Josh were fantastic to deal with. Such nice home owners. Rhonda left us a big plate of delicious cookies and a welcome note which was a pleasant surprise. We came to TN for a wedding in Franklin and just happen to stumble across Hancock Manor which had accommodations to fit our large group, 10 adults and 5 kids ranging in age 16 to 6 mos. for an excellent price. We had enough room to sleep everyone comfortably! The house and the apartment above the garage was very clean. The kitchen was well supplies with cooking utensils as well as the bathrooms having enough towels and toiletries to accommodate our stay. WIFI access was iffy, which we were fully informed of before entering the home but, you could text without any issues. Besides, it was vacation - a time to get away from technology. They had Direct TV access which was great for the little ones to get their daily cartoon fix in. :o) We all had a great time having pool and chest tournaments with each other and enjoying the hot tub and building fires in the fire pit to end our busy days running around Nashville and Franklin. It was a pleasure walking down the lane to the neighbors house to pet her Emus, ducks, turkeys, chickens, cats and dogs. The neighbors were so nice. Donna was so sweet to my grandkids, such a joy to chat with her. For grocery needs, there was a little convenient food/gas station down the road and a little further was a General Dollar Store for other necessities. If you wanted main food staples, Gallatin was the closest large city for Mall shopping, dining out and grocery shopping - only a 30-35 min drive. Nashville took about an hour to get there and Franklin another 15-20 min further. The scenery is so beautiful that the drive was not a problem, very easy to navigate from Bethpage to Nashville/Franklin. For traveling on a holiday weekend traffic was not bad at all. If you want tranquility and some much needed relaxation Hancock Manor is the place to be!! My family had the best time ever!! Thank you Rhonda, Monica and Josh, it was Fantastic!!
Overall this is a great house and met the needs for our 16 adults very well. We were surprised and disappointed to find that one of the large bedrooms had no door at all, just a large opening into an adjoining hall area. This hall area is open to the library below, which allowed all the sounds from the first floor to travel upstairs to this bedroom, with no way to block it. This made sleeping arrangements difficult, as some in our party wanted to stay up and play games, while others desired to sleep. It also made for a lack of privacy for this bedroom. We wish this lack of a door had been listed in the posting so we could have known and planned for it ahead of time. Who doesn't put a door on a bedroom?? The housekeeper that lives nearby was amazing and very helpful!
From the moment we pulled up, we were more than pleased. The home is even larger and nicer in person, far exceeding our expectations. Needless to say, we were delighted beyond words when we entered this home for the first time! The rooms were very tastefully decorated and spacious. We had everything we needed in this home to accommodate a large group, both indoors and outdoors. The grounds were very well maintained and felt like a retreat that we had all to ourselves. We really enjoyed this country setting for the week. The main large city we ran into for large grocery shopping needs was Gallatin, but there is a local store/gas station nearby as well . The next time I plan a large family get-away - it will be at Hancock manor! We are hoping to return in the fall! All-in-all, a wonderful place and I would highly recommend you stay here with your large group. As noted in other reviews, there is virtually no signal for communication with loved ones back home and simply something we are all not used to, but should be expected considering the rural location.
The property was clean and well kept. There was plenty of room for all of us. Pool table was a big hit! If we were going back to Nashville area, we would stay there again.
We traveled to this home with 15 adults and 9 children under the age of 4. The house was stunning and perfectly accommodated our large group! With the use of the garage apartment, every family was able to have their own private space. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment and the kitchen, dining room, and patio off of the kitchen made it easy for us to gather for mealtimes. The owners even had a plate of Christie's cookies waiting for us with a welcome sign, which truly made us feel right at home! Everything was clean and perfectly decorated. (Not totally baby-proofed, but we managed just fine!) The hot tub and the fire pit were also very big hits for all of us! The kids loved going down to visit the neighbors at the bottom of the hill who had emus, peacocks, ducks, turkeys, dogs, and cats! The neighbors were very kind! It was definitely a hike to get to Nashville, but we weren't too worried about it because it was CMA fest and it was going to be too crazy to go anyway. We took the kids to Charlie Daniels Park on the east-side of Nashville to enjoy the splash pad, the huge playground, and had a picnic under the pavilion - it was an easier drive. We also went to the Nashville Zoo one morning, which was a lot of fun for all! The house was more than we could have asked for. Truly a home away from home. We would highly recommend to others traveling to the area!
2nd time staying at Hancock Manor we love the place, will stay again.
Once again I decided to visit this home to see if the awesomeness and beauty had worn off and I would be jaded toward the whole vacation in the country thing. I am delighted to say that it still took my breath away when I topped the hill and saw this magnificent home snuggled into the hillside. It was just as lovely and serine as it was the first time. Like stepping back in time to a more quiet and peaceful place where all your troubles stayed at the end of the driveway. From the beautiful hardwood floors to the library and fireplace this is the only place I have ever stayed where I was able to take just a little of that tranquil feeling home with me. Give yourself and your family or friends one of those experiences that will stay with them for the rest of time. Making conversations that begin with Do you remember that great time when........
Our family had a great time this was the biggest house we have rented so far And the cleanest home.
The home was exactly as seen in the photos on the web site. The property and house were clean and well maintained. My family enjoyed playing pool and evenings in the hot tub. The owners were extremely responsive. I had to contact the owners regarding a leak either from the dishwasher or below the sink and plumbers came out the next day to repair the issue. I would recommend this property to friends and family. The only small issue, which is why I only gave 4 stars instead of 4 was the lack of cell service in the area. Wifi information is provided, but the signal is spotty and mainly everyone was cut off from the outside world, which we didn't mind, but some of the guests needed to work a bit and access via Wifi was very important with regards to work. Unfortunately, the service was so weak we had to go into the nearest town to get work completed. Also, we tried to upload a movie using our own Amazon account and due to the poor Wifi signal the movie went into buffer mode every 5 minutes. Not a good way to watch a movie. However, our overall experience was fantastic and I would not only recommend this property to others, I would stay there again.
Our family of 20 (ages 2 1/2 - 80) gathered to celebrated Grampy's 80th birthday. We came from Alabama, California, Michigan and Texas and we had a great time. The house was even more than we expected and we loved all the different bedroom spaces and common areas, the hot tub and the pool table. Everyone had a fabulous weekend and well worth the trip. The only downside that I can even mention is that the internet connection was very iffy. But, hey, we wanted to get away from it all and enjoy each other's company anyway so maybe this helped us with that. Thanks for your hospitality - everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided.
This is a beautiful stately older home down a secluded tree lined road. Everything was clean and well stocked. Cookies on arrival and a personal note welcomed us. The beds were very comfortable. Our group of 8 ranged in age from 42 to 72. Some of us did find the many, many steps to get into the house a little challenging. The main reason for not 5 stars are suggestions. With such large areas and a house that can hold so many we found it disappointing that the main gathering area in the den had only a sofa and no end tables or coffee table for beverages. We love to sit together in one room and show all our shopping finds to each other at the end of the day. There is one room totally empty. The pool table takes up a lot of space that would be perfect to add seating and end tables.
What a charming home in a great location not far from Nashville! We needed a place for our large group to stay whIle in Nashville area... WOW... what wonderful place with lots of space to gather and enjoy our time together. It is everything they say it is... plus more! Thank You!
Our ladies group from church stayed at this beautiful home for this year's retreat. It was a fantastic setting with a very nice home. We had plenty of space and even had fresh cookies left for our arrival. It was definitely a perfect getaway!
My daughter and her husband chose this as the venue for their wedding in reception. They were married in the library in period costumes with a few family members with a reception with other friends and family later in the day. There was room for out of town guests to stay. It was cozy, beautiful and perfect for this happy couple and their guests! A place for forever memories and gorgeous photos.
My task was to find a place near Nashville that would make a group of women ages 20-77 happy...Hancock Manor was absolutely perfect! It was secluded and in an absolutely beautiful setting. The house and little decorative touches everywhere, were absolutely gorgeous. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. The owners were so easy to work with and provided us with a house that gave my sister an amazing location for her bachelorette weekend! I can't wait to go back!
The property was clean and attractive - even homemade cookies left for us! The owners were great to work with and prompt in answering any questions. There are a places between rooms of one or two steps which may be a disadvantage for some elderly. We enjoyed the quiet country area at the end of a dead end road. A walk down the road led us by a friendly couple with peacocks, emus, and various other animals! We enjoyed the porches with lots of patio chairs and tables. It was a great place for north and south adult family members to meet.
We loved the place, everything we needed, we will be back next year.
The property was clean and very attractive. The owners/landlords were always very prompt in responding to my questions about the property and amenities so that we could properly plan our stay. It's a great home! My aunt uses a cane, so her access and mobility was a little limited. The front stairs were too much for her, but there was a grassy incline to the side entrance that was useful to her. Overall, a wonderful and unique house.
Our two families (with 7 active, growing boys!) thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Manor! The house was clean, updated, and provided all necessary modern-day convenience, with the charm of 'old world'. The pool table and hot tub were huge hits for all ages. The property was beautiful and fun to explore! We ventured into the 'big city' during the days, and enjoyed our mornings and evenings at the Manor. One of the best vacations we've ever had! Thank you for opening your 'home'!!
Just returned from a weekend stay at the manor. It exceeded my expectations. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. Everywhere I looked I saw something I loved. There was plenty of room for all 16 of us. The huge kitchen island immediately became the hangout for whoever was not shooting pool. Can't wait to go back in warmer weather (for a longer stay) so we can really enjoy all the balconies, porches and outdoor areas. I would highly recommend this property for large families.
My wife and I along with our friends and band members really enjoyed our stay. The home is wonderful and very comfortable. The home owners were very friendly and prompt to respond to a couple of questions that I had leading up to our stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to get away and enjoy the comforts of country living and yet be within reach of Nashville and all the attractions. The platter of chocolate chip cookies are waiting.. will definitely stay again in the future.
This is a beautiful and spacious space that gave a very memorable weekend for ten family members aged 13 to 92 years of age. From tea on the terrace to hot tub fun and photo shoots away from the hustle and bustle of life, I'd highly recommend this clean, comfortable, peaceful, and charming place to anyone who wants to just step back into a more peaceful time and enjoy relaxing with friends or family.
Oh where to begin! We surprised my mom with a 60th Birthday weekend and meet several family members there. BEAUTIFUL is the first thing I thought pulling up to the house. Lots of room and very comfortable inside and out. Wonderfully decorated and clean. Huge kitchen and had everything we needed to prepare our yummy meals. We played games, enjoyed the hot tub, took tons of pictures inside and out, had special moments with loved ones on the front porch and balcony over cups of hot tea while watching the wildlife, laughed a lot and just relaxed. So much to do that we wanted to stay another week or just move in! Best place for getting away from every day stress and to catch up with family. Memories made that we won't forget. Thanks for creating such a lovely, comfy home and grounds for others to enjoy!
We were a group of ten who met at Hancock Manor for a surprise 60th birthday party for one of my sisters. We spent three wonderful nights relaxing, reminiscing, laughing and wishing we could own the place! The house is perfect: super clean, huge, quirky, filled with little details that we were constantly finding, exclaiming over, and photographing. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed them so much, from having morning tea on one of the patios while watching deer and squirrels, to telling stories and giggling in the hot tub, to playing on the hillside. We found the house (inside and out), barn, stone and wood walls and fences, exposed rocks, and forested areas to be fantastic backdrops for beautiful pictures that we will treasure forever. This place is a photographer's dream! Highly recommended.
We truly enjoyed our 6 day getaway. Relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Truly nature just outside the door, with all types of bird sounds. The most wonderful time was at night time so quite and peaceful and the light show of the fireflies. Cannot wait to stay in the fall or winter times.
We spent 7 days here for a family reunion and had a wonderful time here. The house was very spacious, very clean and well decorated. This house came with all the amenities the family needed and offered plenty of entertainment for the adults and children such as pool table, chess table, hot tub and board games. The kids had a great time making s’mores and enjoying all that mother nature had to offer. We enjoyed the privacy at this beautiful home and just made the reunion so memorable. We will definitely plan another trip next year to come back for another family event.
We made the long drive from Texas to spend some quality time with extended family at this beautiful house. It was well worth the time to get there! The interior was immaculately clean. It had all the modern amenities one would expect, but still a rustic feel throughout. The exterior was very well maintained, as well. With four kids, ranging in age from 18 months to 12 years, we weren't sure if the stay would provide them with enough to keep them entertained. We found out quickly that this place is great for kids of all ages! The kids spent the evenings chasing fireflies and roasting s'mores and woke up early several mornings to visit the bird lady down the street to get a glimpse of some interesting animals. (She's a really sweet lady, by the way.) During down times, my kids learned how to play chess and pool and even got to hang out in the beautiful Jacuzzi. Us big kids enjoyed walking around the wooded areas and listening to the sounds of nature in the evenings. Early morning coffee and conversations on the patio just outside the kitchen made this trip especially memorable. Bottom line: this is the place to go if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Relaxation is the key word here, day and night. And if you need a little more excitement in your life, downtown Nashville is a short 45 minute trip away. Thanks for making this trip one that I'll never forget and one that I can't wait to recreate!
Our family is spread across Illinois and South Carolina. We were 'meeting in the middle' for a weekend long family reunion. Prior to the visit, I spoke to the owner who was friendly and answered my questions. The house provided us with lots of outdoor and indoor room. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We had an issue with the water line and the owner was very helpful and quick to get it fixed. It was a little far out for any quick Nashville excursions, and the kitchen was lacking a few items we considered to be standard in a rental kitchen. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our visit to Hancock Manor!
A group of friends I stayed at the manor for one evening and had an absolute blast! The library and fireplace room are just gorgeous. We all loved the pool table and huge open kitchen which is wonderful for entertaining! The bedrooms were so comfy and cozy. We really enjoyed roaming the property, it's huge! Looking forward to going mountain biking there when the weather warms up a bit. We all can't wait to go back again for a longer stay next time. Thanks to the owners for creating such an incredible retreat not far from Nashville!
Such a wonderful place to get away and relax. The fireplace and pool table provided a great area to hang out with friends. We did not get to try out the hot tub, but the side-by-side off road cart was a ton of fun on the trails behind the house. Highly recommend this place and cant wait to come back !!
Your home & grounds are lovely! The kitchen was great & so was the amount of space that we all had to spread out in. We celebrated Our triplet nieces & nephew three year birthday during our stay which was awesome! They loved running & playing through the house. The hot tub was super on the cold evenings. Hope we can stay with you again!
What a gorgeous home! Old Estate but updated in every room. Beautifully decorated and fully furnished. cookies waiting for us when we arrived. ;-) Thanks again for sharing your home with us.
We felt welcomed immediately with a tray of cookies and a sweet note. The home was clean and spacious. It was a great weekend of focus for eight women. This place is a wonderfully quiet spot. There were ample parking spots located at the end of a dead end road. It is a beautiful area of TN. We enjoyed the decks and fire pit outside and the kitchen was great for conversation. The spa/hot tub looked amazing, unfortunately did not get a chance to use it! The owners have been very helpful in every way. Thanks for a great weekend!
This beautiful old home is made for family vacations. Treat yourself to a relaxing stay that will take you back to the good ole' days Listen as the children run from room to room finding all the little secrets the venue has to offer. This large rambling home has room to sneak off and read a good book, get the gang together for a game of pool, set on one of the many patios with a cool drink or just spend a cold evening setting in the Jacuzzi. The young ones or the young at heart will enjoy long hikes to find the hidden ponds or explore the memory filled old barn. Listen for the many wild birds and animals that call the land home. You might even catch site of the wild turkey and peacocks that roam the area. The home is located on a dead end lane and there is plenty of parking. Even though the home has been remodeled with all the latest amenities, the owners have be able to keep the integrity of the old home intact. The owners are warm and easy to conduct business with. They go all out to make the place warm and inviting. Right down to the plate of home made cookies for when you arrive. At the end of the day when the crickets start to sing you to sleep, you will be very tempted to call out, Good night grandpa. Good night Jim Bob.
My husband and I stayed at this gorgeous manor on Oct 5-7 and did not want to return home. We felt we were already home! The location is magnificent! We work with the public and wanted to get away to a peaceful and quite place and this was it! Beautiful, yet cozy place to get away. We've already booked our next family reunion for next year and as soon as we can, we are booking another getaway for the two of us.
