We really enjoyed everything about our stay. It was tricky finding the place in the rain and dark, so we recommend arriving in daytime if possible. Once we had the route down, though, it was a breeze. Reasonable driving distance to shopping and amenities. The cabin itself is well-stocked with everything we needed, was cutely decorated, and felt cozy and like home. The views were spectacular and it was incredibly quiet at night. Highly recommend and would love to go back someday. Thank you for a fantastic stay!
We had wonderful experience here. The quiet, serene location is the draw for this place. The home itself is small, but adequate. The bedroom is big with a very comfortable king bed. The kitchen is very small and might lack some items necessary for meal preparation. Living room furniture is comfortable. There is a television in the living room, but it only has a DVD player connected to it. If you care for entertainment otherwise, bring a Firestick or Roku device. The real draw for this place is the location. It is away from any city noise and the dark sky is amazing. You can sit on the deck and watch for wildlife. we saw deer and Jack rabbits, in addition to the horses on property. This is a great place to unwind and leave your everyday cars behind.
This property is a bit of a drive and rather far from restaurants, etc. In return you stay in a place that's both private and expansive in view. We saw an astonishing number of wild animals, including a black bear on the road. Inside it's thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. Better than I had anticipated. A quiet place to read or watch the stars. It should be noted that although the kitchen is adequate for small breakfasts and light cooking, it's not equipped for serious meal-making.
On a small ranch with a great view, up in the hills with the wineries. Please was great
A wonderful location detached from the busy world. Not just a place to stay but a whole environment for a perfect couples weekend getaway. We enjoyed morning tea and coffee while watching the horses, deer, squirrels and birds, just listening to unobstructed nature. A gem of a location!
We very much enjoyed our stay.
It certainly lives up to it’s description! It’s beautiful - well maintained - comfortable - restful - gorgeous night skies! It’s worth the 15 minute drive from Jacksonville - in fact, it ended up being a great drive to watch for wildlife! We saw mountain sheep, lots of deer, wild turkeys, a fox, chickens, ground squirrel, to name a few.
Everything was just perfect. The cabin, the view everything we needed was there and the property owners were amazing.
We loved this place! The surroundings were eye candy and it was so peaceful. An excellent place to unwind!
Very beautiful, peaceful little cottage. Serene view of horses, deer, squirrels, birds, trees of beautiful color! Woods to hike. All kinds of near by hiking. Loved being out away from all the people. Bed so comfortable, it's hard to get out of. I highly recommend! Great hosts! They are really nice and friendly! We really enjoyed our stay!
This place is a great getaway. Out in the woods ,where the dear and turkeys roam. We Loved it!
This was a perfect get-away for my wife and I on our anniversary. As long as you follow the directions provided, the property isn't hard to find. With that said it's definitely off the beaten path. We enjoyed a weekend of peace, seclusion, and incredible views from the large picture windows. This has got to be one of the best places to stay in Jackson county OR!
