Glasgow, Scotland
Park Mews is a beautifully refurbished Victorian mews cottage set in a quiet lane just five minutes' walk from Glasgow's famous Kelvingrove Park. Its location is perfect for getting about the city by public transport, as bus and underground stops are very close and the surrounding area has a variety of coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Mackintosh's famous Glasgow School of Art, the University of Glasgow and Scottish Conservatoire are all within easy walking distance as are Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Concert Hall, Scottish Opera and two variety theatres. A link to the M8 is literally round the corner, making it simple for the motorist to travel to any part of Scotland. However Glasgow's two main train stations and bus station are so close that a car is not necessary.
Spacious is the word - a very large kitchen/dining/sitting area on top of a twin bedroom, bathroom and separate double/en suite. Very handy washer/dryer in a utility room, and a well-furnished kitchen. Owners were very helpful.
This house was chosen for its location to my daughter’s flat just around the corner. It was an ideal base for us to support her in the week up to her wedding day at Glasgow University. The Parking permit gave us peace of mind to leave the car nearby and not worry about meters. The flat was comfortable, warm and easy to live in. Everything was there that we needed. My husband and I enjoyed the novelty of stairs as we live in a single storey cottage, so that was a fun change for us. The owner was easily contactable for any questions we may have had. Bedrooms were great with one en-suite and separate bathroom which worked well as we prepared ourselves on the wedding day. We were warmly welcomed by Lis who gave us a tour around. Tea, coffee, milk and shortbread were there for us too. Overall we had a wonderful time. Thank you Beth for helping us have such a carefree stay.
We have stayed multiple times...
Excellent property which ticked all the boxes. Great location from which to explore.
Would recommend to all
This accommodation is perfect for enjoying the City of Glasgow, close enough to walk to any location within the city and far enough to relax and kick back. We stayed while moving our daughter into her student accommodation and it was ideal. You get the wow factor when you go up the stairs to the top floor which although very modern still had that cosy feel. The welcome pack of fresh milk, coffee & shortbread was very well received and very much appreciated. The whole place is very well set out and the bedrooms extremely comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.
Park Mews is a fabulous place to stay. It's location is excellent just minutes away from the motorway and the city centre. Despite this the location is peaceful allowing for rest and relaxation. The mews was extremely well equipped spacious and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer. We have already recommended it to friends and will most certainly be back ??
This apartment is too good to be true. We stayed 8 nights with our family of 4. Upstairs is a fully equiped kitchen/dining/living room. Beds/baths and laundry are downstairs. It was immaculately clean, quiet and comfortable. Owner even left us starter tea/coffee and short bread. Such a nice touch ! Beth was extremely responsive to email and accomodating a special request for our visit. The flat is walking distance to attractions like Sauchiehall Street (main shopping/business, and Kelvingrove Park & Art Gallery. St. George's subway station is a 10 min walk; Sainsbury's grocery is 2 blocks. Had a fantastic dinner at local Indian restaurant Akbar's - check out the family-sized Naan (bread) - a 10 min walk. This place is a hidden gem !
We (3 adults) have stayed in many VRBO rentals in the last few years. They've all been good, but this was one of the best. It is beautifully renovated with many amenities. The kitchen is well equipped. The kitchen, dining, and living area are spacious and well designed. The area is lovely and convenient. Parking is very convenient and parking vouchers are furnished. The property was very clean and well-maintained, the owner most accommodating, many restaurants, pubs, a small market, within easy walking distance, and buses nearby. We only wish we could have spent more time in this beautiful apartment and in Glasgow. Thanks!
We spent 4 nights in Beth's modern Mews. The Mews is as pictured on the website. You enter from the alley to the downstairs, which has the 2 spacious and comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and laundry. Upstairs is the living space. We appreciated having a large dining table, the large refrigerator, pots/pans/utensils, the dishwasher, the washer/dryer, TV, and the fast, reliable internet. The location is walking distance to a grocery store, to George's Square (where we met our Hop On/Off Bus and our Highlands tour), and the Royal Concert Hall (where we attended an event). We were met at the Mews by Lis, who so kindly drove my husband back to the Mews from the airport after he dropped off our rental car. Beth is very easy to work with and answers questions immediately. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit. This was a great place to call home!
The mews is a fantastic base from which to explore Glasgow and beyond. We were taken aback upon arrival at how spacious this property is, plenty of room for the kids to mess about! It is well designed with contemporary fixtures and fittings, with a great sized, well equipped kitchen. Big bedrooms with plenty of storage, ideal for a long stay with a very stylish en suite and large bathroom. Great to have a bath there especially with young children. And very impressed with the artwork on the walls! As we stayed in February we were concerned about keeping warm with the cold temperature, however, we were not disappointed as the mews was very well heated. The provision of parking permits is ideal and there is plenty of close-by parking spaces. The mews is very close to a lovely park which is ideal for the kids. Close to the Coffee Pod for morning cappuccino and the occasional bacon butty! Not far from all the West End bars, restaurants and takeaways, must admit we didn't cook with all that on our doorstep!! Just to add, although the mews is in the heart of Glasgow, you would never know you are in a city as this location is very quiet and peaceful. Perfect half term break, we will definitely return.
