COMMENTS FROM GUEST BOOK:
My wife and I came to this quiet and beautiful cottage very weary and in need of rest. We enjoyed leisurely days of reading, cooking, walking, going into Holland etc. The view from our deck was worth the entire trip. We both believe in a personal God who loves and cares for each of us. We believe that every good and perfect gift comes from him. We have been absolutely blessed by his gift of creation, solitude, time together, and this delightful place of refreshment. Our accommodations were perfect. Thanks and blessings.
My family and I came to this very nice cottage. We loved how nice and quiet it was. We loved how nice the beach access was. The sand was so nice and fine. Thank you for the very comfortable and nice it was to stay here.
Thank you I loved the quiet time. I will always come here again.
Thank you for a lovely week. We could not have had a better time anywhere! The cottage and view was wonderful. We will never forget it. We hope to be here someday soon. The hike and beach access were a true treat! We wish you all much success in the future with your rental.
Enjoyed the cottage, deck, beach, lighthouse and sunsets.
Everything was exactly as pictured or described. It was perfect; quiet and secluded. The convenient access to the beach gave us opportunities to walk down anytime we wanted; morning, day and night. We found the items in the kitchenette just what we needed for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thank you for sharing this unique property! We would love to come back to relax at the cottage and beach again. It was a true blessing for us!
The cottage was a beautiful small house on the top of a hill. The drive to the house was through a park with lots of mature trees and hiking trails off the main drive. We enjoyed going on hikes and playing in the sand by the beach. The cottage was a little dated but clean. The views and activities made our stay. We throughly enjoyed our stay.
We visited some friends in the area, and this was the perfect place to stay. It is very quiet, private, and relaxing. We loved it and have talked about coming back next summer. Things to note: no one was able to get cell service at the house. So keep that in mind if you are planning on working or make phone calls. There are also a lot of steps. So be prepared for that. And finally the beach and waves are amazing! The pictures didn't really prepare me for how amazing it was going to be! Thanks for the stay!
Cute, cozy little house up on the ridge; easy walk down to the beach. We had a great time around Ottawa Beach and Holland. The house is pretty much what I’d expect an old beach house to be: not luxury, but perfect for a week near the water. The breeze up on top of the dune is lovely, and the views of the lake are quite nice, too.
A very quaint and lovely cottage . Warm breezes off the lake and beautiful sunsets. Not too quiet, but just enough to relax and enjoy a few days of relaxation. Easy access to beach area .
The cottage was the perfect getaway for our small family. Perched up in the dunes above Lake Michigan, the cottage is a throwback to simple beach vacations. Late afternoon trips to the beach, reading while listening to the sounds of the lake, grilling out on the deck, evening walks for ice cream at the General Store. The cottage is comfortable and quiet with just enough technology to stay connected - if you want to. (Wifi is great).
We loved our time at the treehouse on Lake Michigan. Small and Quaint but perfect for the of us. Would go back again!
A super short walk down to a beautiful beach, easy access to hiking trails, and a beautiful view of the lake from the deck all helped make this a great getaway!
Our stay was fabulous and cottage was adorable with perfect view of the lake. Woodsy, private area was a great reminder to enjoy life with no “to do” lists! The owner was very accommodating to us!
This cottage was perfect for our small family. We loved using the huge deck and the beach access nearby was incredible. Would stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay
Beautiful view. The cabin was quaint. Close to everything.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful beach house....what a gem.
This property was everything we'd hoped for. The place was clean and the view/location was outstanding.
My dear college friends and I stayed at the property after not seeing each other since before COVID. We wanted a simple space as close to the Lake as possible with amazing views. This was perfect. Easy walks in the bordering forest, to the public beach, and to the cute retail area between Lake Macatowa and Lake Michigan. Cottage is spare and old school - which we appreciated. Lots of McMansion beach homes close by but the beautiful forested bluff-top property hid them from view. So much peace - just what we needed.
Great location.
We had a wonderful week of vacation at this sweet beach cottage that was the perfect size for our family of three. It is tucked away in a private neighborhood and is incredibly quiet and peaceful. There are neighbors, but we never saw or heard them. Gorgeous views of the lake from the deck, living area, kitchen/dining, and master bedroom. The beach house is situated up on a hill (thus the gorgeous views) and hearing the breeze through the trees and the sounds of the lake everyday was magic. It is a short walk down a flight of stairs and a sandy path through the dune in order to get to the beach. The beach was a nice size and very quiet. We spent most of our days relaxing on the beach and swimming in the lake and our evenings hanging out on the deck playing board games, working on a puzzle at the kitchen table, or snuggled on the couch watching a movie. Added bonus, the beds are super comfortable and we slept like champs. We would highly recommend this sweet cottage!
My family of 4 (with kids aged 4 and 2) rented this cabin for a week and we had a great time. The location cannot be beat for the price, the beach just down the stairs is perfect. We took daily walks around the area to explore, get ice cream from the general store and down to the beach to watch the sunset. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the cabin during the day, there were so many day trips and beach days. I did have to clean when we arrived, there were a few dead flies by the windows and lots of spiders but once I did a quick sweep it was great. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was so small we actually never used it. The deck and view were wonderful. We loved the area so much we’d definitely come back again.
A pleasant small cottage with a view of the lake and only a short walk to the public beach and walking trails. Exactly what we were looking for.
