First of let me compliment the owner of this property ! I've never experienced someone with such level of communication, responsiveness and customer service. This is what you normally expect from a VRBO owner and we are glad we worked with Mrs. Gwen on this. House was charming and comfortable, from decoration to common spaces, super nice kitchen where our family invested quite a bit of time. This was a family trip with my wife, two brothers and my parents. Everyone was very comfortable with the set up we had. Outdoor/cover patio was great where we enjoyed every morning with coffee or every evening chatting and enjoying the quietness.... House has a lot of character and they have done a great job on maintaining up to par with all the needs someone that stays there is expecting to have. 5 minutes walk to downtown which was pretty cool and also the property has easy access from I-26 which is the main highway going thru that portion of North Carolina. Cool waterfalls nearby as well as easy trails to enjoy nature. Don't miss visiting Judd's Peak lookout which is an amazing spot to enjoy some nice mountain ridgelines around that area (only 10 minutes drive from the house) We definitely will consider this place in the future for a possible family weekend getaway again. One thing that truly makes the difference is the contact with the property owner and again, Mrs. Gwen was a pleasure to work with ! Thanks again!
This is a large old house on beautiful property. All bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. The kitchen is well stocked with modern appliances. It was a treat to stay here for 3 days with extended family. Not a place for young children.
Very nice and very clean
We found the house to be very accommodating and clean. It was a nice location, very close to town. The house itself was amazing. Loved the furnishings. Very well kept home. Would certainly rent again. Thanks for a great getaway.
This house met our expectations plus. The kitchen was so well equipped. The porch area was just the best. We truly enjoyed this very comfortable home and we would definitively rent again.
Our family was in town for my sons proposal to his girlfriend! We had a wonderful weekend and this home was beautiful, extremely clean, well appointed and absolutely perfect! Loved the porch and fire pit which was an antique sugar pot! The mattresses and bedding were a dream and the showers, 2 of which were claw foot tubs had great water pressure. Cooking on the gas stove was a treat! The town of Saluda was adorable! A bright and happy weekend in the middle of a crazy time! We can’t wait to go back! Thank you for everything!
The home is just beautiful, is ideally located in town, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The property owner contact is responsive and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
Absolutely amazing experience! The house was just lovely and the side porch, was wonderful....perfect for sipping coffee, listening to the birds! A great weekend!
We very much enjoyed staying in this beautiful home and the covered porch was perfect during the rain showers.
3 families spent 3 nights over the Fourth of July, 2020. The kitchen is the best we’ve ever VRBOed. Wolf stove, Sob-Zero refrigerator, all clad cook wear. A foodies kitchen. The porches at this place are great. Great gathering place. Outdoor charcoal grill even has a charcoal chimney with charcoal provided. Our family loved this place. One bedroom reminded us of the lion, witch and wardrobe.
