Wonderful place to stay. Great location.
Perfect location and to be in a historic home right in Main Street made it all the better. Thank you!
Location was great, space was was great, felt a few things needed attention. Screen door on back and rock steps were not the safest. Some areas did not look as clean, kitchen floor and bathrooms were not spotless. Think this quaint older home has more potential than was given. we enjoyed the area and the Pizza recommendation was great. Thanks for sharing your home.
Convenient and comfortable stay in Abingdon for our daughter’s wedding.
After 2 minutes of arriving, we locked our selfie's out of the house. Went to the neighbors and was givin the owners address. Walked there and got any extra key. The town of Abingdon was awesome. Came to town for the Bristol TN NASCAR race. 30 minutes from the track. I’d go back and stay there again.
Outstanding location; walking score 10. Perfect for biking the Creeper, attending a performance at the Barter, browsing the gift shops, and enjoying wonderful restaurants. The house is spacious and well equipped. Loved the large dining room table for game playing. Unfortunately, one of the guests had to take additional allergy medication given the age of the house and evidence of mold. Thanks for a very comfortable and convenient stay.
This cute little cottage is perfectly situated on the edge of the historic district with very easy walks to coffee, dinners, the visitors center. We loved it and would stay again. Thank you so much to our host!
Loved this little cottage on Main Street! Close to everything that we wanted to see and do. Comfy and cozy and just the right amount of space. Hosts were very gracious and helpful! We will be back1
Relaxing!
This was the perfect getaway for the weekend. The house was charming and the location was perfect. We never had to use our car because the house is located in the historic district so we could walk to restaurants and site-see as well as ride our bikes a few blocks to the Creeper trail. We will definitely plan to come back!
Felt at home
We had a great time! Older home with alot of charm and comfort. We went bike riding 2 days in a row on the Creeper Trail and enjoyed it so much. Awesome scenery and great weather for the best trail we've been on. Thank you so much!!!
Great location for walking to all Abingdon has to offer. Plenty of room to entertain.
Loved it! Great location, great cottage.
The house was perfect as a base for our bike trips on the Virginia Creeper and New River Trail. It is only a short bike ride to the Creeper trailhead and close to many shops and restaurants in Abingdon. The house was very clean and cozy with all the amenities we needed. The owners were great to work with. We were able to extend our stay at the last minute which was nice. We would definitely come back the next time we need to stay in Abingdon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Situated right off of Main St. in the middle of downtown, most everything was within walking distance, It suited our needs perfectly.
This is a cute restored cottage and EXTREMELY clean. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. We will be back !
My hisband and I rented this sweet cottage as a gathering sopt for our family Thanksgiving. It was perfect for us-- plenty of room to cook, serve and eat a wonderful meal. The kitchen, though not really equipped pot, pan, and utensil-wise for a large gathering, had great space and very nice appliances that helped us get the job done. The location was perfect, near shops, restaurants. grocery stores, andso foryh. Plenty of parking in the back. Overall it was a lovely stay, we had a great time!
Nice location close to Main Street activities. Quaint home with old style decor. Original flooring and design.
The house was perfectly located allowing us to walk to many restaurants and trails. The property host was very helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was beautiful artwork throughout the house. The house is very, very old but charming and if you are looking for modern amenities then this isn’t the place for you. The bath towels could use an upgrade and a mirror needs to be added to the back bathroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much in Abingdon, VA.
This is a great property in an awesome little town. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was adequate. We cooked in breakfasts and our dinner on Friday night, the kitchen had everything I needed to cook a steak, bake a potato, saute some brocolli, make an omelet, hash browns, toast, etc. The only spices are salt and pepper, so plan accordingly. The instructions for the television seem to reference a previous TV, because they mention a motorola remote, and the television is one of the ROKU Smart tv's. Once we figured that out, it worked fine. The location can't be beat, it's about 1/3 mile to the start of the Creeper trail, about 1/4 mile to the Barter Theater (we saw Kentucky Spring, which was delightful). The house is on Main Street, and you are steps from several excellent restaurants. We had a great lunch at 128 Pecan, and a spectacular dinner on Saturday night at The Tavern, both of which are a short walk from the house. The host, Ramsay, was very responsive when called, and very personable. All in all, this was a fantastic place.
Really enjoyed our state at the property. House was very clean and more than roomy enough for four adults. And the location was perfect! Located in downtown, it's a short walk to great restaurants, stores, and The Creeper Trail.
Little screened porch in the back - lovely! Comfy furnishings and eclectic art I'd be proud to exhibit in my own home.
Enjoy our stay .
