I liked the location of Eagle's Nest Cabin. It is located across the street from a beautiful park with lots of things for the kiddos to do. There are plenty of attractions, such as waterfalls and lighthouses. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who loves the outdoors!!
Very well maintained, nice are convenient to the lake, shopping and restaurants. Owners are the best, attentive to guest needs. Lots of bicycles available, games, etc. We have been staying at this property for at least 5 years. It's so wonderful we keep coming back.
We just spent 4 nights at The Eagles Retreat and it was perfect for our needs, quite possibly the cleanest place we’ve stayed at! It was great being able to walk directly across the street and be in a park with access to a beach. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay.
Kitchen was well equipped. Should never be bored as there are lots of indoor games and outdoor games, toys, bikes and other activities.
We've stayed here a number of times and it's always great! There were some nice upgrades like new flooring and patio furniture this year which we enjoyed. Thanks for another great visit!
Small, but very cute cottage & clean, and very well supplied, the up stairs isn't for adults though,
Great time was had by all! We were impressed by how well stocked this house was. From the selection of bikes, to the kitchen supplies and indoor/outdoor games, we were able to keep busy. We loved the bike trail across the street, fishing on the dock across the street and the park. The property was very clean as well, which we appreciated! Thanks for a great vacation!
Very comfortable for a small family getaway. Location was get for accessing the beach.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Eagle's Nest in Gladstone MI! Check-in was easy, and the home was fully stocked with everything we needed. The quaint home is a perfect fit for an average size family with kids. Our boys (ages 11 and 13) loved having their own space upstairs to sleep, watch their own TVs, and play games. They also loved going across the street to play at the playground, beach, and baseball fields. There are plenty of well-maintained bikes for all ages and we rode them daily. The town of Gladstone is cute - we went to Gladstone Dairy Flo and picked up pizza from the Saloon. Both very good! Escanaba is a short drive and we went there for shopping and dinner. Lastly, fun day trips are to Kitch-iti-kipi and Historic Fayette. We really enjoyed them both. Such a nice vacation!
The house was perfect for myself, my wife and 22 year old. It was great being able to walk across the street to be in the park and take a dip in the lake. Used the bikes to explore some- it’s nice there is a guarded bike path to get across the bay to Escanaba. The kitchen had everything.
A nice place to stay, especially for families. Ideal location across the street from a lakeshore park. Very nice kitchen. Liked having access to basement laundry and huge garage. Stairs to upper level can be challenging for older persons. As a retired couple, the 3 TVs and video game equipment did not interest us. Rain and air quality alerts reduced the opportunity to enjoy the back yard amenities and the park across the street.
The location was spectacular across the street from an amazing beach. The owners provided everything we needed and wanted. They had ladderball, corn hole, bikes, and more in the garage to have fun with. Thank you for sharing your home!
We enjoyed our stay, peaceful park across the seat.
Great responsive hosts. Older cottage but clean and well equipped with lots to do. Excellent location- we’d love to come back sometime in the summer!
We stayed here before and came back as the kids like the location as well as the games. We’ll continue to come back as we love the area.
Adorable home looks exactly as pictured. Nice and cozy with an amazing location right across from Gladstone Beach. We had a group of 8 stay to go ice fishing, location was perfect for us. We all fell I. Love with the retreat and look forward to renting again in the future
We enjoyed our stay. I loved the main floor. The upstairs would be great for teenagers and younger due to ceiling height. Was a little rough for my adult children. We lived the view of the park and Lake Michigan. Wish it didnt rain so much. Didnt get a chance to use the projector outside due to the rain. Enjoyed the fire pit at least one night. All good.for locations.
This house was a perfect location for all we wanted to see, everything was an hour or less away. From Pictured Rocks to Lake Kitch iti kipi to waterfalls, we saw it all! The house was very clean and cozy, and had a lot of amenities provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!
We loved our stay! Great place to launch your UP adventure!
We've stayed here several times and always enjoy it. There is plenty of room for our family of 4, including space for the kids to hang out on their own, and plenty to keep us entertained. The owners/manager are very responsive and kind and we look forward to seeing what changes they've made each time we go back. We especially like the proximity to beach and park and the bikes that are provided for exploring town. Thanks for another great visit!
Great location right across the street from the beach, walking paths and kids play area. Ideal for walking my dogs and taking in the views. Upstairs I has low ceiling and narrow stairs, could be ok for kids. Very clean house.
Fantastic property and location, check in and out couldnt have gone any smoother!
Our family stayed at Eagle Retreat in May for a long weekend. We were in town for our nephew's wedding. The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and well kept. The garage was filled with bikes, games and any outdoor need you might have. We would definitely stay there again.
Cute house with plenty of room! Clean and well stocked kitchen.
Was clean and quiet. Really nice to see the lake everyday out of the front windows! We went in March but we definitely took advantage of snowball fights at the park!
The house came stocked with many things that my kids (10, 7, 5) were able to play with and enjoy. Kids Kingdom, even in the winter, was so much fun. Will absolutely stay again if it is available next time we are in the area.
