Love the changes you did to the property. As always had a great time with everything to do in the area.
This is a really cute home. It's a nice mix of old and new, and it felt like the owners regularly stay there themselves and are basically inviting others to stay while they are away. This is the fist time that anyone has charged me extra for having more than 2 people in the home - so basically charging us to bring our kids along. that would be my only feedback to the owners - don't charge extra for people to have their kids on vacation. Also because the owners were in a different time zone, it was difficult to get in touch with them, but didn't cause any issues in the end. Thanks for the nice place to crash for the long weekend!
We came up to Maine to do some skiing at Sunday River and stayed at this great property. House was exactly as described in the listing; cozy and well equipped. Short drive to the mountain and several great restaurants very close by. Our pup enjoyed the fenced in yard. Owner is very responsive and also provides a little guide book with local points of interest. I would definitely consider staying here again next time.
Real nice break from the world
When we found out the temperature inside the unit was going to be 53 degrees it did not appear that it could be changed. The weather outside was to be 35 degrees and we felt that it would not be healthy to stay there under the circumstances. We could not communicate with the owner so we decided to not check in.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was Just as described. Comfortable, quiet, relaxing. It had everything we needed. Our dogs loved running around in the yard. Would love to go back. Thank you!!
Cozy House lived up to its name: what a perfect place for a stressed PhD student to take time away from campus to write her dissertation in serenity. Fast wi-fi made it easy to connect to my university's VPN to access research articles otherwise hidden behind a paywall. The signal was strong enough to work outside in the warm sunshine at the picnic table in the backyard. The little pond in the front yard is stocked with brook trout, which I enjoyed feeding when I needed to step away from writing. The property has an old ATV trail that goes around its perimeter that my dog and I explored, which surreptitiously turned into a mushroom hunt after finding a great many varieties popped up along the path. Cozy House is close enough to town that it was no hassle to get food from the fully-stocked grocery (and AMAZING barbecue at Smokin Good), but is also secluded by the trees to feel far off the beaten path. Would absolutely recommend visiting.
Cozy house is comfortable homey and has anything and everything you could ever need. Thanks Sheryl
We loved staying in this little cottage. It was close to everything we wanted to do in and around the Bethel area. We were there is August, so it was warm, and although there is not central a/c, the owner supplies many fans which helped tremendously. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean, as well as, the fridge. We did not find the grill to be in working order so we did not use it and the fire pit was full of debris, so I we did not get to use that either. However, we had a great stay and we would stay theee again. All the flowers were in full bloom around the property and we loved feeding the pet fish. The washer and dryer worked great and it was nice to get things washed before coming home. We also felt like the water pressure was perfect. We would stay there again. Thank you for renting your home!
It's been a few years since we've been to Maine. We were regulars and stayed in various rentals throughout midcoast and started going north and west. This has been a wonderful experience in a home that was perfect for my husband and I with our crew of small happy dogs. Everything was perfect. We are very careful to leave the home in the same condition as we found it. I loved this home... didn't want to leave. Looking forward to coming back regularly. ❤️❤️❤️
This was a fantastic home, with everything we needed. So comfortable, so quaint. Lots of space. Thank you so much!
Cute place very relaxing and comfortable would stay here again.
We plan to come back here each year because of the great stays we've had and this year was no exception. We love snowshoeing behind the house and even though it is a steep start to get up the hill, it is well worth it. We have a new addition to our house- hold this year (a small dog) and took him along on an adventure for the first time. The sideyard was a lot of fun for him as he could run free and play. Since this is close to everything around Bethel we got in some great cross country skiing, snowshoeing and even some downhill at Sunday River. We got a foot of snow during our stay and the plow service made sure we could get out easily. Only some minor shoveling to get the cars out and off we went. Sheryl was responsive to our questions as always and it seems we always have one or two. Check in and Check out are easy and the information provided makes everything clear. This is one of our favorite places to stay and is actually the only place we have been repeat renters even though we use this service for other places we visit.
We had a great time. The property had everything we needed.
We had a great time in this cozy little house. It's in a great location, not too far from town, but not so close so you have a lot of privacy. The house is fully stocked with plenty of games and rainy day activities. We weren't there long, but it was a nice place to call home for a couple of days. With a bottle of bubbly there to greet us, I would say it's one of the best! And the owner is very attentive and very clearly cares about her guests!
My husband and I took a weekend trip with our son and two dogs to see the sites of Maine. It was a beautiful drive up and the Cozy home was cozy! The host provided clear instructions and we felt very comfortable. We were surprised on the fenced in yard in this beautiful property which was a plus for our pups! Even though it snowed 3 inches, we were warm and cozy in this clean and well kept home. I look forward to planning our next trip to this gem!
Lots of space to spread out (outside and in), tons of cozy nooks for relaxing together or alone, fun decor, well-stocked with necessities (including washer & dryer), good attention to details. Thoughtful welcome basket which included helpful info. Convenient access to cute downtown, good restaurants, and great hikes. Clean enough overall but slight musty smell.
The cottage is actually adorable, and the hosts have done a great job making it cozy. The kitchen is brand new, the bathroom and towels there of top quality, and the bed we used very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and the surrounding area.
Cute, comfortable, clean, and has anything you might forget to pack. Minutes to Bethel and many area attractions including mountains and hikes. Host was very responsive. Our dog loved the fenced-in yard and my daughter loved the nightly s’mores around the fire pit. We plan to rent this house again!
This house was perfect for our family of 4. Sheryl has thought of everything and it really feels like home. We used the cozy house as a base to explore the area. It was wonderful to come home after a day of exploring.
Very cozy, loved our stay!
Very nice, has everything you need, Sheryl is very helpful. Being in Maine was everything we hoped it would be. Thank You
The cottage provides all you need for a comfortable holiday. The decoration gives a lively atmosphere. We felt immediately at home. The welcome file is well done and gives a lot of information. Although Bethel is rather a winter destination, we recommend this place for summer holidays as well. The owner was always available and answered within an hour to our questions. We very much enjoyed our stay there.
We enjoyed our stay and appreciated that everything was very clean. We spent most of our time at a friend's house, so we did not use the kitchen much but it appeared to have everything one would need for cooking and serving. My daughter's dog appreciated the fenced in yard. Thanks, Sheryl, for an enjoyable weekend!
Great time snowshoeing, downhill and cross country skiing in the area. Everything is easily accessible. Cozy Cottage was a great place to stay as it is clean, well maintained and well furnished. Sheryl responds to questions very quickly and checks in to make sure the stay is is a pleasant experience. Looking forward to going back next winter.
We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.
It was comfortable private and well stocked. It had all the comforts of home that you could need. Sitting in the back looking at the beautiful fall foliage was a real treat. Sheryl has provided shampoo paper items and a well-stocked kitchen complete with plenty of herbs spices flour etc.The water pressure is low but it is a well.feeding the fish in the pond was relaxing
Perfect spot for ski get away.
Our stay here exceeded our expectations. This was our first time using VRBO and was very happy with it. This house was as advertised and a very convenient location to the snowshoeing and skiing. The owner was easy to contact and checked in with us during the stay to make sure we didn't have any questions.
The property is very nice and clean and it is a short distance to the town. The owner was really friendly and caring for her guests. Thank you very much.
There was more than enough snacks, food, wine in the kitchen. The house was very cozy and the property was great. The only negative was it could've been a little cleaner, but that is coming from a clean freak, so yes dust bunnies under furniture! But we are planning to come back!
It was nice to be able to come back after a long day of hunting and take a hot shower. Kick back relax and cook dinner in a fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of room for 4 and their hunting gear.
Thanks for allowing us to stay. Very comfortable and quiet!
