Spend your next vacation in a beautiful waterfront house, located right on a sandy, no bank Puget Sound beach. With a spacious master bedroom suite, second bedroom and bath, large living room, full kitchen, sitting room and dining room, this is comfortable place for romance, relaxation and play.
Enjoy 180-degree views of Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains. Sit on the deck (or sitting room in winter) for hours watching the constant marine show of ferries, boats, ships and wildlife. Speaking of wildlife, careful observers may see eagles, herons, harbor seals, sea lions and gray whales, all of which are common, and much more.
Walk on the beach, build a fire at sunset in the fire pit beside the water, dig clams, go crabbing (seasonal), fishing and boating. Enjoy the many restaurants and shops in Langley, 9 minutes away.
This is a perfect romantic getaway for just the two of you. Bring the kids and make it a family event. Rent it with friends, great place for relaxation!
We loved this place!!! “Vacationing” with two littles isn’t always easy but having the beach and grassy area right in front made it so easy for everyone to have a great time. The hosts were easy to reach and very helpful!
Access to a fun stretch of beach for kids was very nice.
The location was beautiful, the house was clean and the owners stayed in touch! We will come back again. Thank you!!!
I took my kids (7 and 8) for a little getaway with my mother-in-law. We had such a relaxing, wonderful stay. We did puzzles, read books, walked the beach, and explored Whidbey. Nothing beats the view at this house!!
We had a great time at this beach house. It was so relaxing to sit in the sun room and watch the ferries go by. The kitchen was huge and well equipped. We would love to return!
Awesome. But, could not get TV to work ?? Followed directions. Oh well.
We were looking for some place on the water for a short family getaway. We liked the location to the ferry dock and we had fun exploring the island and the beach. The house had a great kitchen, wonderful views, and was very clean. We would definitely come again!
Being right off the ferry, this is a great location. The beach is easily accessible. We hope to visits again on the near future.
This was a nice location for seeing the channel and away from the more touristy area's such as Langley and Oak Harbor. House could use a bit of maintenance but overall a very nice little spot. Despite the proximity to the Ferry, Very Quite. Lots of Bunnies and Birds to see. The main road dumps right out into the ferry parking so use the upper road to do your to and from travels. House has plenty of space for a family and a great sunroom on the front for sitting and watching the water and the boats. Beaches vary - Possesion Beach, great at low tide for exploring, High tide it's just a picnic table in some guys back yard. Double Bluff has acres of sand and walking at low tide. Robinson - Nice sandy beach to sit but popular and crowded. State parks are nice, but as usual the cost and they state spends little time with maintenance. I would recommend the place for Fall or Spring, Summer the island is probably packed and hard to get araound based on the weekend crowd.
I always stay at this property. The house is comfortable, has everything you need and the best views and location. I love the new remodel.
Location, views, and experience are all top notch with this beach house. We’ve stayed three times and plan to be back!
We really enjoyed the water/mountain/ferry views. Will stay again!! The house was very comfortable.
Five devices were unable to log on to wifi. We tried the top 3 ssid nerworks and no luck. Shortly after I arrived my phone died so I was unable to contact our host. A weekend without wifi was OK, but something wasn't working.
We had an amazing time!! We would definitely rent this property again. The view is beautiful, the neighbors were very friendly. And the homes kitchen is very well equipped.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Spring Break escape with awesome weather to boot. The location is super easy to access and served as a great landing spot after activities on the island. To note, there is a coffee/ice cream stand next to the ferry terminal (about a 5 minute walk) open during mornings and afternoons. On the other side of the terminal (across the street) is a small waiting area that has a dirt mound and tons of Tonka trucks for littles to play with. It was surprisingly entertaining. The house was spacious, had most things we needed (had to buy aluminum foil at the store to bake some cookies in the oven), and felt cozy. On the negative side, the sunroom furniture is terribly uncomfortable and could use an update. We will return!
We enjoyed our 5 night vacation at this waterfront property on Whidbey Island. The house is very open and so the family could all hang out while some of us were preparing food and others enjoying the sun porch or sitting at the enormous kitchen Island. The house has a gorgeous view of the Cascades and Mt Rainier. We enjoyed watching the sunrise over the Cadcades as we watched the ferry going back and forth between Clinton and Mukilteo. We enjoyed walking along the private beach infront of the house and the kids built forts with the driftwood. We were able to walk up and down the beach on both directions and rarely saw anyone! We used the row boat and the fire pit at the house, and we saw blue heron, orcas, eagles and seals right infront of the cabin! This house is incredibly quiet- even though you are only a 10min walk to the Clinton ferry. We found this house was very conveniently located to parks and the quaint town on Langley. We would suggest a visit to Ebey's Landing (rocky beach with views of Mt Baker, Cascades, Mt. Rainier, and Vancouver Island if you can manage a few minute hike up the hillside there), Double Bluff (wide sandy beach and driftwood), Whidbey Pies Cafe at Greenbank Farms (native plant garden, fresh or frozen pies, waking trails, breathtaking views off the east side of Whidbey Island), Fort Casey, and the town of Langley. This house was a perfect size for a family getaway during Spring Break! On our way home, we drove an hour north through Deception Pass and then through the Skagit Valley tulip festival. If you don't have a Discover Park Pass, be sure to get one before staying here so you can enjoy all of the amazing parks on Whidbey!
We spent four days here with our 6-and-9-year old grandchildren. Everything about our stay was wonderful! The house was clean and nicely furnished with all the necessities. We all enjoyed the beach! We highly recommend this home for your stay on Whidbey Island.
We lucked out with the weather during our end of March trip. I can't tell you how nice and relaxing it was to wake up and look at the sunrise out the window and watch the ferries slowly cruise by. My kids got excited every time a ferry was moving too. The house was perfect me myself and my 2 kids. It was very clean and the hosts were available should I had needed to get ahold of them. Neighbor was also really friendly.
The view is by far the best this house has to offer. Owners were very responsive during the booking process and had good communication for check in. Jacuzzi tub and BBQ were not working and we booked specifically for these features. (Wanted a hot tub and settled for jacuzzi because of the great view).
We had the best spring break! Home was perfect for our family of five. Gorgeous views, great communication with hosts, and so many things to see and do on the island! Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our time there. You should know that you have to watch your step because the floor level between rooms changes at a few locations.
This is the best bang for your buck property in south whidbey! Old school cabin feel with modern flares. Had a great time even in mostly gray/ rainy weather! Easy check in and out. Will be back for more soon!
beautiful good price for access to water your neighbor is not a fan of your porch light just to let you know we were asked to shut it off (she was very nice about it) cushions on the love seat in sunroom would be good ... hope to come back again....the Cranes
It was very easy to come and leave no distraction thank you
We brought our mom here for 60th birthday get away. We loved our stay. It felt like home away from home. Loved watching the ferries go by and walking the beach.
We have stayed twice at this location, and love it! It is the perfect getaway for our family. There may be other fancier accommodations out there, but nothing has the charm that this house does. The best part is the sunporch, which is perfect for sitting and watching the ferries, bald eagles, and occasional seal or sea lion. No other house we've looked at has such a space. The open design of the kitchen, living, and dining area allowed us to really connect as a family during our vacation. And when we had a question and contacted Yan, she was very cheerful and helpful. We can't wait to go back!
It was so nice to stay here and watch the ferries go by. The hosts were responsive and easy to get in touch with when I had a question.
We were looking for a short respite from life and found it at this place. Owner had just upgraded the place with new flooring as well so no carpet to contend with. So fun to watch the Ferries and relax in the sun room. We will be back.
Just what we needed! I could sit in the sun room, watch the ferries and read for days on end.
We had a nice three-day stay at this property. The front windows are located close to the Clinton ferry landing, so the view was fabulous. All kitchen appliances were modern. It was pleasant & warm with a firestick for TV. I did not find a controller timer for the jacuzzi, so I assumed it was just a bathtub. The property would benefit enormously from a deep cleaning. Other than this, it was a pleasant stay.
For the view you cannot beat the price. House is beautiful and having your own beach is incredible. Only con was the power went out and there were no candles or flashlights. Luckily the sweet neighbor helped out. We will definitely be back!
The commmunication was great for our stay and the property is in a great location. For the cost you will be challenged to find a better view. Bedrooms and bathrooms were a little out dated and property could have been a bit cleaner, but these are small issues given the fair pricing for the house. Thank you for the stay and for being great hosts!
This was a great place to stay and get away from home during this time yet stay safer. It is right on the water and has up close and personal observation of the Ferry runs. Quite and close to many outdoor sightseeing.
It felt like home away from home, except with a view. Actual property was more spacious than I expected, which was wonderful!
We loved staying here! We could sit in the sun room and watch the ferries go by all day long. House was very clean and the kitchen was well supplied for cooking. The fireplace kept things super cozy! The hosts were very gracious in accommodating our request for a late checkout. Thank you!
Cute Beach House with gorgeous views of both Baker & Rainier from deck. Fun watching ferry & boats. Beautiful Sunrises.
You really can’t beat the views from this spacious house. Lots of light in the morning and we got to see the full moon set over the water. Was incredible! Also saw an eagle and a sea lion. Kitchen is fully upgraded, so easy to cook.
Classic older beach house right on the water by the ferry docks of Clinton. Large upgraded kitchen with all needed tools. Large master bedroom, 2 bath , great sitting areas with large windows to watch the marine world go by.
This is a awesome place to be. We loved the view and how quit it is. The windows and mirrors could be cleaned better. I felt guilty for using the fireplace because of the two notes. The fireplace was one reason why we picked this place. I think the cost of fuel that the owners pay should be taken down. I paid what they asked for I should be able to enjoy the fireplace but all being said I would like to come here again in January. I would recommend this to everyone that I know
We had a very nice stay and hope to return in the future.
The view is spectacular. Loved watching the ferries. Very comfortable but disappointed that we didn't have regular TV or DVD and the floors are small step ups and downs which was a problem for our senior group. We did enjoy having Netflix and YouTube. The owners were very nice. I had to call them one time. We would definitely come back!
This house was perfect for our little getaway. Being right on the beach, it was lovely just to walk outside and our kids could play, throw rocks, and build sandcastles. The enclosed sun room in the house was a perfect spot to sit and watch the ferries come and go. The kitchen was perfectly stocked and very modern. We enjoyed that Netflix was included and we didn't have to put in any of our passwords to watch a few shows. The bedrooms have not been updated like the kitchen and other parts of the house, but they were still clean and comfortable. We'd stay here again!
This is an amazing house. Lots of cooking utensils, towels, extras. Fully furnished right on the water. I can't say enough except I hope to rent it next summer for a month. I absolutely loved it. Thank you so much John and Yan!
Great location, comfortable house and excellent beach! We will be back!
We rent from VRBO often, and this has been one of our best stays. Extremely clean, comfortable house with many amenities and a very well equipped kitchen. This is in addition to being on the water with a great beach and nice neighbors. Check in was easy and the owners were very responsive to all my questions. Can’t say enough good things about our experience.
We really loved our stay.House was spotless.
Wonderful location, beautiful views.
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway, and it was absolutely perfect! For those who just want to hunker down and enjoy being by the water, you could spend your entire time inside enjoying the view (I will never tire of watching ferries come and go!), in the yard with a calming fire going on in the pit, or waterside on the driftwood beach. Easy walk to the ferry and close to anything you would need in Clinton.... but also any easy gateway for exploring the rest of the island by vehicle. All the amenities you would need and a very big and well stocked kitchen! Highly recommend.
Wonderful home & beach, amazing view!
This is a lovely little beach house. Great location and the views are stunning. We would definitely stay again!
We felt right at home at this property. It is right on the water with amazing views from the deck and the house itself. It had everything we needed for for a comfortable stay. Food and grocery stores are near by which was very nice. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are very friendly. The communication with owners was excellent as well. We deeply enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
Sunroom is great. In early April cool weather and sunroom is not warm. Super views of Everett etc. Great beach for walking.
Place was clean . Everything you would need for a holiday, view was amazing! Thank you and would absolutely love to return.
Amazing views, lot's of natural light and space, in the dead of winter offered utter and complete comfort. Wished we could have stayed longer.
We had a lovely stay at the beach house! My kids loved bring right on the beach. Will definitely rent again!
Thank You John & Yan for sharing your Home with us! Wonderful Home on the Beach. Peaceful with beautiful water views as well as view of the City lights across the Sound! Home was very clean & well maintained. The recent upgrades showed owners care about their guests! Thanks again!
Very comfortable, well stocked. Refreshing to the soul. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.
Good home base to tour southern Whidbey Island. Pending the tides, bring your clamming gear!
Stayed two nights while on Whidbey enjoying Thanksgiving with our daughters and the oldest daughter’s wedding. Very comfortable home. Clean. Spacious. And an awesome view of the bay. Enjoyed watching the ferries come and go. Did I mention the view? Now that we have family on the island we’d return.
John and Yan were easy to deal with and everything was as advertised. The location and view of the water and ferries was excellent. My mother in law enjoyed the view and my wife Janet got some great photographs of the gorgeous early morning sunrise. The beach is an easy stroll off the deck. Plenty of good restaurants and grocery access between Clinton and Langley, a short scenic drive away. Would stay there again!
Very nice location. - had everything we needed
These accommodations suited my family of four just perfectly. I look forward to staying here again soon.
Loved my time at that cute house. Everything you need is right there, even though it is a little older than some I would take this house first I will go back hopefully in Sept for a few days. Thanks to Yang and John it was a memorable stay Karen
The property was fine. We'll stay there again in the future I'm sure. Communication with the owner was awesome. They were able to smooth out the bumps we originally had at the start... setting us up for an awesome weekend away.
We go every year to this house and enjoy it more each time. Great location. The house has everything you need. Thank you Mr and Mrs Strong.
Calm , serene , tranquil and beautiful. A place of peaceful meditation. We were Blessed for the experience . Spent quality time with God , Friends and most of all Family. Thanks Jon & Yan Strong
Being right on the beach, and watching the ferries coming and going, especially at night is very relaxing. I would stay here again.
Great house with a fantastic view was clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed watching the ferries quietly glide by as we sat on the deck. We also saw seals, otter, heron, eagles, osprey and more! The sunrises are spectacular from the deck or sunroom. We will be back! Thank you John and Yan!
Great house and location. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook with. Great back yard and great sun room. We’ll be back for sure
We spent so much time walking the beach. The weather was splendid. Got the best Sunrise picture ever. I could live on the porch alone.
The focus of the cottage is on the spectacular view. Dining room perfect for meals, games and rock painting. The cottage is a 'step back in time' but comfy and warm and the kitchen has everything you need. Wall heaters worked great without having to use the gas fireplace. We had a wonderful time and beautiful weather!
wonderful time and beautiful views
Cool place to stay in Whidbey Island. Looking forward to staying there again in our next visit. 🤩
This place was a great getaway from the city and couldn’t ask for a better location!
This is a great spot and was perfect for our family. The views of the Sound are amazing, and the sunrise was spectacular. Also fun to be able to see the ferries.
Really lovely old beach cottage. Very clean. Thank you for an amazing weekend. We had truly memorable family fun.
Owners were responsive and easy to connect with.
The view is the only good thing about the house. The home owner had a meltdown when we reported a serious problem with locking the outside door and we told her the house was not accessible to the elderly or infirm. The house is desperately in need of updating. The smell in the interior is moldy. We were very disappointed.
The house was clean and well stocked. It was most obvious that some things were old and needed replacement or repair. We have a family beach cottage in the east coast and it is fine for us but I sure wouldn’t rent it to others without a major upgrade. Same here. The grill and utensils were dirty. We had a tough time with the front door key. As with all rentals the beds were iffy and pillows lousy. We enjoyed the area and the house was a good base. Truth be told we liked Orcas Island the best and will try that next time.
We stay here every year and have always been happy with the rental. Comfortable, beautiful view and great location.
We enjoyed our 3 nights in Clinton. House well maintained and comfortable. Who could complain with the wonderful weather we had!
This was a relaxing and fun time for my wife , son and myself. The views were awesome. Besides driving all over the island we also took the ferry to Muilteo and had a wonderful walk along the waterfront. Im hoping the Canadian dollar goes a bit higher as we would enjoy going there again Thank you, Gilbert Eisan
Wonderful little house on the water. I will absolutely stay here again.
This was our 4th or 5th time staying at the Columbia Beach house. We love this place, the view is gorgeous and the location is close and convenient, as well as, well priced. We always have a wonderful time when we stay here. We love to walk on the beach, visit the neighboring towns and just completely relax! Patti & Steve
This is one of our favorite places to stay. It would be nice if there was one other TV in one of the bedrooms so that the Sport fanatics could watch sports in the living room and the significant others could watch something else in one of the other 2 rooms. We still love the place when there is just the two of us but if we had another family couple it would be nice to have other channel options.
Photos misrepresent property. House smelled musty. There was an ant problem (in the kitchen and main living room). Lots of bees around the outside of the property. We cut our stay by two nights due to the smell. Took more than 5 minutes for the water to heat up on the master bedroom shower. My friend, who stayed in the second bedroom, had to sleep on the couch due to the musty smell of the bed. Place is old, insufficiently updated and it appears rooms have been added on making tripping hazards (different floor levels) in the master bedroom and from the living space into the kitchen. Couldn't plug lamps into nearby outlets (dated electrical and possibly 'plugged up'?). I would NOT recommend this place to anyone
This is a fantastic little beach cabin. It is all about the view. Watch the sunrise over the Cascade mountains, the ferry boats sail by and walk a few short steps and you are on a great beach. The owners responded immediately to any questions. We can't wait to come back for another visit.
Great stay with a wonderful 180 degree view of the Straights. Fun to watch the ferries pass between Clinton and Mukilteo. We did not see any Sea Lions or Seals but 2 Gray Whales entertained us off and on during the week. The home has all you need for comfort; the kitchen is well equipped; and the beds served a very restful purpose. There is a gas BBQ and stove, which we did not use, that would come in handy in case of a power outage. We are not new to the area as we camped at Ft. Casey for many years. The sun room was used to play our music (keyboard and electric guitar). Getting to the beach could be difficult for older people ( like us ) due to the high bulkhead. We could not make it but we came close to piling a few logs to step down on. We thank the owners for a wonderful experience and are looking forward to a return visit.
Lovely spacious house, quiet and comfortable. Great view! Some aspects of the house need a little tlc but overall a pleasant stay.
This was the perfect beach house for my wife and I and our 5 year old twins. Our kids loved the house and spent plenty of time on the beach building driftwood forts and flying kites. We loved watching the passing ferries and did plenty of birdwatching. Would love to come back!
We had a great stay. The home is a small, charming, outdated gem. Just what you would expect and hope for. Everything needed is available, just bring your food and ability to relax. Some minor updates to cushions in the sun room and some deep cleaning in kitchen and it would be perfect. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
Quaint aged cottage on the water. Thanks for a very relaxing, clean, and homey place for us to stay.
This was our second visit to the Columbia Beach House, we brought my parents this time. They really enjoyed it! We love the view and the beach. The house is great, too, with plenty of space and well stocked kitchen. Thanks Yan and John! Patti
This was for my wife's 70th birthday. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you for the service that you all provide. Every thing was perfect. Can't wait to rent it again. 5 stars for ya. Clyde Wear
The Columbia Beach House was wonderful for our stay. My sister and our kids (ages ranged from 1-12) all enjoyed the views, sand, pebbles, driftwood and peacefulness. They built a driftwood teepee that kept them busy for hours! We were there June 9-12 and wished we had reserved the whole week! We pretty much had the beach all to ourselves, the neighbor was very nice and the owners (although we never met them) were always quick to respond to our questions and very helpful. The inside could use some updating, but it was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a bit cold when we were there (high was only upper 60s), but it didn't stop the kids from going in the water a few times! Thank you for a wonderful getaway!
This lovely house by the water was just what we wanted. Inside, we (2 couples) were surprised by the larger than expected living room, sunroom, and dining room with extra views of the water. And, there was a spotter scope to see birds and other critters. The kitchen has an amazing variety of appliance--if it isn't there, you don't need it--toaster And separate toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, rice cooker, and lots of items we never needed. The master bedroom is nicely remodeled. Hubby and I shared the smaller bedroom--cozy, though with lots of room for storage. There was enough laundry.dishwater, and dish detergent to last us, though I don't know if those are refilled by the owners or other renters. There were sample-size hair products in the bath room, though we brought our own. Outside, we saw a harbor seal a couple of morning, offshore. And a very large rabbit, as large as the neighbor's Garfield cat, grazed the front lawn. We always congregated in the living room to watch the water. We could see the passing ferries, though there was never a noise problem. And once we closed the bedroom doors, all was totally quiet. We never met the Strongs, though everything went well, so we didn't need to contact them after the original booking, payment and information about keyys, etc.We highly recommend this home on the water.
This is the perfect weekend getaway location! Right on the beach and fun views of the ferry and mountains. Close enough to Fort Casey, Langley and Coupville to do some exploring...but the best part to me was hanging out right on the beach and making a campfire and smores. This home has everything you'll need, and is spacious and comfortable. Great for kids....since there are nice big windows facing the water, we could be inside cooking or sitting at the table and still keep an eye on my 4 year old playing out on the beachfront lawn area and deck. Thanks for a great weekend, we'll be back!
This is our second time staying here and it was just as clean and well-stocked as we remembered. The views absolutely cannot be beat and the home is set up for guests to enjoy the most of them. Our family of four (we have a 3 and 1 year old) had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back! The owners are delightful to work with and make sure your stay is perfect.
John and Yan went above and beyond to make our stay an memorable and incredible experience. They were very responsive and accommodating to my requests for making the V-Day weekend more memorable for us. The house was better than pictured and at a great location. I would definitely book this home again.
Love the location. The views are amazing... Mountains across the water and the beach right there. Although the fireplace is not available the house warms up quite well and is very comfortable. The kitchen was well furnished and everything you could need is there . I would definitely love to go back. Sunrises were amazing to watch as well. Thank you for providing such a fantastic place.
The pictures and description were spot on. The home is a beach cottage- nothing fancy, but very clean, open and spacious. Nice clean and bright kitchen and baths. The most beautiful beach and the home is surrounded with wide open views from both the inside and the outside of the home. We loved our stay and will continue to come to this home.
This house is right on Puget sound. We sat in the sun room and watched the ferry go back and forth. The home was very comfortable and cozy. We spent a lot of our vacation traveling throughout the island and a few days exploring Seattle. We were always happy to come home to our house. We spent many mornings just sitting and watching the water. We will definitely come again.
Located on the beach and has wonderful views of the ferries, Everette and mountains..Nice large rooms, two bathrooms, huge deck and off street parking make it a great place to rent. We will stay again if it is available..
The beach house had everything we needed for our family of four and two visitors. The location was great; only 3 minutes from the ferry. the sunroom has a foldout futon bed, which my 11 year year old son enjoyed sleeping on. the living room was spacious and had some games and movies in the tv cabinet. The views were amazing. One day we could even see Mount Rainier! The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals including a several spices! The bed (master bedroom ) was very comfortable. The smart tv will need your Netflix sign in in order to watch Netflix. We loved that we were right on the beach! There are tons of shells to be found! We were bummed that the fireplace and jacuzzi tub did not work. We decided to enjoy a big fire in the fire pit outside. We also were not prepared for the fares for the ferry! Be ready to shell out about $30 round trip for the ferry to and from the main land. All in all we would definitely stay there again as long as we stay on the island. The ferry fares were a bit extreme, but definitely is not a reflection on this charming Whidbey Island beach house!
It's been a few years since I had the privilege of enjoying this rental but it is really my 'Heaven on Earth'. And the hosts John and Yan are very responsive and attentive, caring. 5* there. The price is in line with the market and EVER so fair for comparable properties available! You have the beach...amazing at night especially to walk in the wee hours during low tide. The island behind you...Clinton, Penn Cove, Oak Harbor, Deception pass. And yet if you want a day trip to Seattle to shop or sightsee you hop on the ferry close by and enjoy the day in the city. :) And then watch the ferry at night once you're back....wonderful sight but no sound or noise. Lovely!! Buy some Dungeness, or catch some. Enjoy and make sure to pick up some Penn Cove mussels. Best in the world. Accommodations are cozy and so very clean. Fireplace is great in the winter. Brilliant view morning and night from the kitchen overlooking the beach. All around, outstanding! One thing I do hope is that there's a great BBQ ...a must on the beach. No matter, ...the location is perfect. Sandy beach, close to ferry...outstanding sunrises. Worked as the perfect rental for me and my family. Like I said...Heaven on earth!!
Homey and comfortable. Just off the ferry with amazing views, private yard and on the beach. Eagles, heron, cormorants, coots, and of course seagulls. Quiet and peaceful. Fun to watch the ferry come and go. Home has everything you need. Clean and organized. Netflix, DVDs, books, games all stocked. Beach front location PERFECT. Owner response time was amazing! I would recommend this place, heck, I'll go there again. Langley is a 10 minute drive away with antique shops, a charity thrift store, a grocery, bakery, coffee shops and the best place for breakfast, The Braeburn with excellent food, lots of choices and great wait staff. Was happy that they don't charge incredible deposits and extra fees. I really enjoyed this getaway. Low stress, 20 minutes to the ferry, 20 minutes on the ferry and 5 minutes to the house. I loved it. Downfalls, couldn't get the tub jets to work, there is no hot tub. The fireplace was not working either. It was warm and cozy though. And if I go back during another season, I'll just make a fire outdoors in the fire pit!
The best beach house I've ever been to! Located just a couple minutes walk from the Clinton ferry dock. Spectacular views of the water from the house including the ferry, birds, seals, and other wildlife. Had a great time out on the water fishing and collecting mussels. Very quiet and peaceful, a great place to relax and get away from the city. Would love to go back again in summer.
We had a great stay at the Columbia Beach House. The house was accurately described, clean, and right on the water near the Mulkiteo ferry drop off (about a quarter mile down the road). It's obvious that the owners take care to rent their home out. It smelled like it was recently cleaned when we walked in, and there were notes to guide us through the home. Our only complaint is that the home is a little old/run down/ the decorum was a bit mis-matched, but it was not described inaccurately and appeared to be the styling of all of the homes on the beachfront. A little wear-and-tear from nature likely :) There was also a firepit that we quite enjoyed to use in the backyard. John and Yan also were super clear and helpful. They provided us all information we felt we needed, and after completing payment, they sent us a thorough email of everything we'd need to know and even provided tips within the neighborhood. If you are not looking for a new/modern place to stay (probably hard on the island anyway), then we 100% recommend that you stay here.
We had a great time here at the house. The first day we saw whales and seals as the week went on we saw many varied types of water fowl and Bald Eagles swooping down for a fish dinner. When all things are considered, location with the mountain views, proximity to Seattle, beachfront and cost it was well worth the stay.
My Wife and I celebrated our 40th Anniversary in your glorious Beach House. The place was clean and neat with a fabulous view of the Cascades, the sound and the ferry boats. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, with plenty to do on the beach and in town. Aloha!!
Loved our three days at Colombia House, The property is right on the waterfront in a quiet location with lovely views out to the sound. Easily accommodated our family of five. Comfortable beds, warm and cosy. Easy to find, and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Lovely place to unwind and relax with your favourite people. So peaceful and quiet. We stayed in winter and look forward to returning for a summer break. Two double beds and two bathrooms, lovely large lounge open plan kitchen dining and the added bonus of the conservatory and deck. Five minutes from the Ferry, and easy drive to Fort Casey and other Whidbey Island nooks and crannies. We highly recommend this little cottage and trust you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
