This newer cottage, built in 2013, has 2 Bedrooms and 2 Full Bathrooms. The cottage has a lot of comfort and beauty packed into only 800 interior square feet.
The Master Suite has a Queen Size Sleep Number Bed with private access to the Master Bathroom, a closet and a dresser. There are glass french doors that open up to the 300 square foot porch that water and beautiful landscape.
The second bedroom is equipped with 2 bunk beds (4 twin beds total), a dresser and a closet. The second bathroom is adjacent the bedroom and also has a full bath tub / shower. The second bathroom also has direct access to the back porch.
The bedroom suites are separated by an elegant living space that includes a full kitchen, dining table and seating area with a flat screen television. This smart TV is equipped with music (for those who prefer a true getaway), with Netflix and other movie options, and basic cable. The kitchen comes with the essentials - double oven, microwave, coffee maker, espresso machine, pots and pans and dishes.
The 300+ square foot porch is equipped with an outdoor shower and a grill for true summer enjoyment. The views of the water are so serene, and a joy for the periodic visit from a flock of ducks visiting a neighbor who feeds them.
With the quietness and serenity of this getaway, it is surprising to think that you are less than 2 miles from the luxuries of the city - grocery shopping, restaurants, bars, and many site-seeing hotspots.
This house was a perfect weekend getaway for our family with two young kids. If the weather had been warmer we definitely would have enjoyed using the canoe. The master bedroom had enough space for a pack n play for our baby, and the second room was great for kids but I don't think adults would be very comfortable in there. The deck is large and peaceful with a nice view down to the water. Quick response from owner when we had questions. Overall I could easily see staying here again!
This cottage was perfect for my husband and I. We had such a hard time finding a nice place on the water where we could bring our dog. I almost settled for another place, and during one last quick look, I found this one. I'm so glad I did! We brought our boat and our dog and had a great time. Joshua made everything easy and we felt comfortable and cozy in this home away from home.
Love the birdhouse! This outlet property on the outlet of Lake Wasco is a perfect spot. We loved it. The outdoor porch, the upgraded kitchen and master bedroom as well as a nice range of amenities. Josh and his family are great hosts providing kayaks and a canoe as well as great communication. The place was clean and Josh answered all of our questions. It is a beautiful home and we felt blessed to be there. Highly recommend! 5*s!
Spent a (too short) long weekend at this beautiful serene cottage right on the Owasco Lake Outlet. Everything just as pictured, clean, and easy. Morning coffee on the back porch with lovely view of backyard and water. The porch swing is a nice touch. We were able to make use of the house’s 2 kayaks for a fun paddling adventure down to Lake Owasco which was so much fun. Very quiet, family neighborhood with easy access to downtown Auburn, Lake Owasco, and short drives to other nice towns and villages, attractions. Screen doors off the main bedroom French doors would be my only recommendation for owners .
Great little spot on the water. We took the kayaks out to Owasco Lake, about 30 minutes along the canal/inlet. Nice space inside and a lovely porch and swing, where I spent most of my time. Lots of shopping within 4 miles, and a good neighborhood walk along the water. The coffee machine wasn't working, and Josh quickly brought over a new one.
Cottage was great! Clean, cozy, well equipped. Back porch overlooking inlet was perfect for relaxing, sharing a glass of wine and reminiscing.
The property is beautiful, and our family enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. We had a couple of questions during the stay, and the owner was very responsive.
This little house was perfect for my needs, and in the best location in Auburn. It is close to everything but in a lovely quiet neighborhood. The place has a great vibe overall. One suggestion - screen doors - at least on the back off the kitchen. If I had been able to leave the doors open, I would not have used the air conditional Unit near as much. Great fans though !
The cottage did not have outside garbage bins which made it difficult to keep garbage safely away. We were also not made aware of garbage pickup. The bunk bed in 2nd bdrm was not sturdy so we didn't feel safe using it. The master bedroom doors do not lock which left us a bit worried since we were not familiar with the area. Be careful when turning on the shower as it kicks back and makes a huge mess.
Such a beautiful cottage, great views, so relaxing. The cottage had everything you could possibly need, very clean. We went fishing off the dock, kayaking, canoeing and just relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful views. I had a few questions before arriving and my questions were answered right away. Lots of stores very close by. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyway looking to get away for a relaxing vacation. Thanks so much!
The place was fine. Master bedroom, washrooms, kitchen is great, but other bedroom is very cramped and uncomfortable for adults.Would be okay for kids.
Nice property, quiet, nice water area, clean and everything was new.
We had a great time staying at this little cottage. It has everything you need for either a short or long stay including a full size kitchen with appliances and plenty of bed & bath linens. Excellent communication with the owner when needed. Thank you, we hope to be back again!
We loved this little cottage. It was very true to its description. The checkin/checkoout process was incredibly easy, and the property was very clean and prepared for our arrival. The layout was perfect and was cozy yet plenty big enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. I had a few questions prior, and Joshua was very quick to message back. We really appreciated the use of the canoe and the two kayaks. The cottage is located on the Owasco inlet, and we paddled down to the lake one afternoon, which was relaxing and fun. This kids caught a ton of fish along the way (released), which added to the excitement. The cottage itself was very quiet and relaxing, yet is also very close to amenities (restaurants, grocery stores, etc) when we wanted to run out. However, the cottage really does have every amenity of home so there really isn't a need to. The only very minor suggestion I'd make is to add some sort of hook for the shower head to prevent having to hold it. In both bathrooms, the water comes out of a handheld shower head, which is a little tricky when you are washing since you need to hold it with one hand the whole time. The pressure in the showers were amazing so that minor inconvenience didn't impact the function. I'd highly recommend this cottage and would love to return someday!
This is a very nice property with nice finishes, plush towels and water access. We came here for a small family fishing weekend and it was better than expected. We really enjoyed singing songs around the fire pit and there was plenty of wood. The outlet is quiet but you can easily paddle a canoe to the lake. While you are prohibited from using the doc, water access is easy enough and the neighbor let us use his dock for getting in and out of a canoe. The bathrooms don’t have ventilation fans but the host supplied effective bathroom spray. The AC unit is more than sufficient to cool the entire cottage but you have to sleep with the bedroom door open to benefit from it. Not great if there is a snoring companion in the other room. The tv signal didn’t work but I’m sure that we could have gotten it working with more than 30 seconds effort. We weren’t there for tv though so we moved on. The host was very responsive and checked regularly by text to see if we needed anything. This was overall a great place for our small group and I encourage you to give it a try. No property is perfect but this one was perfect for our needs.
This canal-side cottage is as quaint as it gets. Well appointed, private, and über comfy. Open central living room, kitchen, and dining room with vaulted ceilings. Master bedroom and en-suite bath for the parents, complete with doors to the back porch overlooking the water. Four bunk beds for the kids (and their own bathroom—thank the saints!). An easy drive to Wegmans and several local eateries that really surprised us (check out Mesa Grande Taqueria and Prison City Brew Pub). Owners are over-the-top kind and attentive but were never smothering or intrusive. The property is beautifully built and well-maintained. We'll stay here every chance we get. Highly recommended.
My family and I stayed here in June while visiting relatives in the area and had a very pleasant experience, so we immediately booked this property again when returning to the area. As expected, the stay was great and we encountered no issues and were able to take advantage of many of the included amenities such as the fully equipped kitchen, grill, and outdoor seating/firepit area. We plan on visiting the area again in the spring and we will most certainly be checking to see if we can enjoy a third stay here.
We had a relaxing and quiet stay. It was just as we wanted it to be; we spent a lot of time reading on the dock and enjoying the view. This vrbo is very well stocked with anything and everything you might imagine. It also was very clean. Sue and Jack
This is a cute, well-maintained little house with a porch overlooking an inlet that leads to Owasco Lake and wonderful Emerson Park. It's perfect for a couple or a family traveling with children. The kitchen has all you need, there is a washer-dryer, and there are lots of great things to see and do in this area for all ages. I especially loved sitting on the porch and watching the sun rise.
A nice quiet & cozy lake cottage with modern amenities and perfect location for exploring the finger lakes region. Owner is very responsive and the property is well kept. Highly recommended!
Although there was a SNAFU at the check in, Joshua gave us a generous discount which we really appreciated. He was also very helpful in recommending restaurants in the area. His property is as described, clean comfortable and the position on the inlet to the lake is superb! We kayaked down to the lake which was absolutely amazing! The cottage is completely equipped with everything you need to cook and grill and we really enjoyed the back porch overlooking the wooded property and the inlet. The bed linen in the Master bedroom was very good quality and the bed was super comfortable. Also there were plenty of nice towels. The French doors leading out to the back porch was wonderful with a great views over the trees. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend this property!
My family and I stayed here over the weekend, as we were visiting relatives in the area. The cottage was well furnished and the kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils and cleaning supplies. The canal access was great and we were able to try our hand at kayaking with the kayaks included with the rental. We plan on visiting the area again this fall to see our relatives, and we will definitely be checking if this cottage is available to enjoy staying again.
Nice cottage on the outlet. Trees, birds, and water. Close to town and the lake. Great Fingerlake location to explore lakes, waterfalls, wineries, and craft breweries. Thanks!
The cottage was fully equipped with everything you could think of. The back of the cottage is so serine. We loved that they let us use the kayaks!
This place was the perfect location for our bachelorette get together, no matter the weather we knew we would have places to sleep and relax together. The set up of this home is amazing with one bathroom that has a door directly to the back porch and an entrance inside. The kitchen has just enough counter and storage space and a HUGE fridge for all your food! The back porch was amazing equipted with a swing for 2/3 and several nice wooden chairs with outdoor pillows for great conversation set up. Two huge tables for food set up and a great grill or fire pit to cook with outdoors. Some of the stand out items were : the smell of the sheets were amazing, the ottoman with stored games and wii fun was comfortable and so useful. The beautiful flat front yard and the shaded comfortable back yard with access to the water. Something's we wanted to suggest was : screen doors for both front and back, the cross breeze is amazing. A full coffee pot for mornings. And the master bathrooms water was cold and had very little pressure (but the other bathroom was strong warm and amazing feeling) a bracket to hang the shower handle as needed. Thank you so much for allowing us to spend the weekend in your beautiful home. I can't wait to come back again someday!
Really a restful and enjoyable place to stay. A nicely decorated and yet comfortable accommodation, with all the conveniences.
Lovely relaxing retreat. The cottage was immaculate. The well equipped kitchen combined with the grill out back supplied us with everything we needed to make delicious home cooked summer meals. We enjoyed the kayaking on the outlet as well as observing the wild life. We met the owner and his family and they could not have been nicer or more accommodating. This is a great place!!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The main living area/kitchen is a bit small, but the home is modern and clean with two good sized bathrooms. The layout was perfect for our small family (2 children under 2 yrs old). The back porch is great. The rear view of the water is peaceful and the street is quiet. Most of all, I appreciated the great service and responsiveness we got from the owners. Very helpful and easy to deal with. We'll look to rent this space again on future trips home to Auburn.
The location is very central to the Finger Lakes region, you can within an hour hit many of the finger lakes. Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge is a quick drive, Waterloo outlets, Syracuse, and so much more if you actually even want to leave! Beyond that the cottage is wonderfully done, clean, and set up. The common area in the middle separates the master room from the other room, each with their own bathroom. The back porch just begs to be used as it looks out over the water, and if you want to grab a few sun fish they are all over the place right off the dock. It's in a nice quiet area so you can have a drink and read, play some board games, watch some tv, if you just want to stay in. The owners really go out out of their way to make sure you feel at home, with little touches like pandora loaded up and ready for your addition of channel picks. I've rented cottages several times now, and I've never felt more at home.
My wife and I stayed here for our 13th wedding anniversary. We really wanted to stay somewhere quiet and relaxing and this was the perfect place. From the comfortable sleep number bed to the relaxing swing on the back porch this quaint cottage was the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend. Close enough to great restaurants and attractions but far enough away to sit on the back porch and enjoy the view of the water, we loved this little house. We concluded our weekend with a short trip up the river to Owasco lake in the kayaks. Can't wait to stay here again.
In town for a family reunion from Virginia and found this beautiful cottage on the canal to meet all of our needs! The cottage was situated in a great location close to shopping and had lovely access to the water! Surprised and happy to find life jackets and floats as well as many other amenities including soap and condiments so that we didn't have to load up at the grocery store after a long trip. Made sure we just replaced what we used up! Joshua even brought us a fan to use at our request! Had an absolute wonderful time! Hope to visit Auburn again someday!
We were looking for a good place to kayak with our 6 yr old grandson yet have access to a large lake. This place was brand new with all the ammenities. Small but the inside area was extremely well laid out and used. All appliances were new and modern. The owner was great and came as soon as anything was needed. Loved it and you will too.
The owners were easy to work with. The house is new and clean. The fishing was good Caught a 22 inch pike and an 18 inch bass. The blue gills looked like they were on steroids.Very quiet and easy access to everything. We will go back.
This cottage on the Owasco outlet was built recently and has everything that you need. Clean, neat, and comfortable, the cottage is located close to the small city of Auburn, NY and is within short drives to numerous historical, cultural, and natural offerings of the Finger Lakes region of Central New York. We had everything that we needed and had a great stay. The owner was very responsive to our needs and made renting the cottage an easy task.
