Bellaire, Michigan
This charming cottage was a former parsonage for the neighboring church, and is located on a large and private double lot in Downtown Bellaire. Conveniently located just a block from downtown bars, restaurants and shops, like Short’s Brewery and Mammoth Distillery, and across the street from Richardi park, where you can put in kayaks to tour the Chain of Lakes trail, catch the multi-use path to the local farmer’s market and beyond, or enjoy the beach, basketball courts, tennis courts, skate park, and multiple playgrounds. This home is also located a short ride from the Glacial Hills trail system, for some of the best mountain biking and hiking trails in Northern Michigan. (message for more information on using our kayaks during your stay)
Our home features all of the amenities you may need, including a well-stocked kitchen, first floor master with King size bed, full size washer/dryer, an upstairs featuring a double bunk room and separate full size bed – along with a private full bath! Large open living area on the main floor, along with an upstairs sitting/play area. For those cool summer nights, grab some fresh meat from Bellaire smokehouse and enjoy a meal at the outdoor dining table, prepared on the included propane grill.
We have a large concrete driveway to accommodate your boat trailer or camper if you want to use one of the many local boat ramps to Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire, Lake Charlevoix, Lake Michigan… or to just use the house as a base camp for exploring all Northern Michigan has to offer, including local UTV trails. We are conveniently located 35 miles from Traverse City, 20 miles from Charlevoix, and a short drive to Torch Lake, or if Skiing/Golf are your attraction, we are a short 10 minute drive from Schuss Mountain/Shanty Creek or Boyne Mountain, among many other local attractions.
My group was a girl group of family and friends! Ages 25-50! We had the best time! The house has a great location! It was a 5 minute walk downtown where we went to shorts & the bar! & only a 10 minute drive to torch lake! House was super clean and nice! Owner had the best communication (responds in minutes usually!) and even allowed us to check in SIX HOURS earlier so we could get up there and enjoy it!! That was super awesome! The only complaint I would have is that it’s not really emphasized anywhere there is no Air conditioning, they only had 2 fans and no ceiling fans. On our trip it was 85 degrees both days so we couldn’t enjoy the house very much because we all were sweating so we had to go sit at the bar most of the time where there was air. There also is no blinds for the windows & only sheer curtains. If you’re a light sleeper like us, definitely bring your eye mask! I like to sleep in but was up as soon as the sun was each morning!
