Whimsical and comfortable cottage located off a quiet alley behind our main residence. You will experience a low-key, friendly neighborhood in the heart of Ashland's Skidmore Historic District. Private garden area with back patio, outside dining for two. You can park your car and never get back in until it's time to leave. Just a 5-10 minute stroll the Ashland Co-op, restaurants, and of course Oregon Shakespeare festival.
Full kitchen and laundry. Along with the queen bed there is a fold-out single bed in the nook off the living area for a 3rd person or for those who prefer to sleep separately. The closet has lots of shelving to store your things. Bathe in the claw-foot tub or use the shower. Heat and AC keeps things comfortable. This is a light-filled groovy hideaway.
Parking is out on the street about 200 feet from the cottage.
Monthly rentals are not available except in rare circumstances and only for one person. Rate will not be significantly reduced.
We have a very friendly Labrador who lives on the property. Although the yards are separated by a gate, there may be some coming and going of Eloise, and you are likely to encounter her. If you do not like dogs or are not comfortable with them, this is probably not the place for you.
According to Google Maps, the distance to the OSF box office downtown is .6 miles and the walk should take approximately 10 minutes.

Must be okay with dog on premises. See the note on Eloise
This place was really cute and clean. It was located in a quiet neighborhood that was easy walking from the heart of downtown Ashland. Traveling with a 3 year old it was nice to have some space and also be able to walk to all the parks and playgrounds. We didn’t even rent a car for most of the trip and got around great on foot. The beds were surprisingly comfy, my mom slept on the single mattress and was super impressed (she can be picky about comfort so that was a relief). The kitchen is well stocked and you are located close to the local co-op for groceries. I would definitely recommend this place to stay in Ashland!
Had a lovely time staying in this spacious cottage which is brightly painted, and nicely appointed with thrift shop finds. Great mattress. Thoughtful touches throughout. Quiet location close to town. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch with lots of flowers, while deer grazed across the alley out front.
I stayed here with my two daughters (my little is small enough to share the queen with me and my teen loved her little nook). The kitchen was well stocked. I loved the wine exchange program- so fun and convenient! Within easy walking distance to Ashland. The front porch with nice views of the mountains was my favorite morning spot. I loved this place and hope to come back. Thank you!
So loved our time in Julie's adorable and cozy house. It was spotlessly clean, full of everything we needed, and in a perfect location for getting out and about in Ashland. We would definitely stay here again.
What a beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and excellently located home away from home. So cozy and quiet. We came with our 14 year old son to explore Ashland for a couple of days. The cottage is very close to downtown and on a quiet residential street. Julie provided a perfect place to stay and we hope to come back sometime in the future to spend more time in the area. Thank you!
This cottage was perfect for our family of three! The kitchen was well-stocked and the whole home was full of thoughtful touches to aid relaxation - books, games, stereo, a wine program. The bed and couch were so comfortable and the quiet location was so relaxing. I liked the back and front porches for a quiet moment outside, and it only took about 10 minutes to walk to downtown, even with my 7 year old. The host, Julie was so kind and responsive as well. Definitely a great find in Ashland!!!
This is a lovely cottage in a great location but sadly, it was yet another VRBO rental with a terrible mattress. There was also no blender as listed and the electrical kettle is broken and does not shut off. The host and process was positive but with the current mattress I cannot recommend this place to my friends without a warning and I would not want to try and sleep on it again. Also, if you want a dark room for sleeping, bring an eyemask. The main house porch light impacts the bedroom at night.
My sister and I stayed here for a few days to catch up with each other, as we live in separate cities. It was a great place to hang out for that purpose. It rained most of the time but we were able to cook fun meals in the very well-stocked kitchen and take walks into this cute town. Also saw beautiful fall colors on the trees in the area. town. I highly recommend.
Absolutely cannot wait to stay at this special place again. Lovely, inviting, comfortable - the perfect spot.
My mom and I had a wonderful time at this place and Julie made sure that we had all the amenities that we needed. The house is well equipped and in great location to downtown Ashland.
A lovely cottage tucked away from the main drag of downtown Ashland. Between the roomie, pristine accommodations, and the friendly host, this was an ideal first stay in Ashland!
Very nicely appointed and equipped home, about a 15 minute walk from the center of things. Highly recommended!
This was the perfect place for us to stay. The yard is lovely for sitting with coffee or takeout during the COVID closures. Decor is artistic, colorful and fun. We loved our stay. The host provides nice extras like a bottle of local wine and coffee.
I often find that photos of vacation rentals make them look way nicer than they turn out to be in real life. Not so with this adorable cottage! Mom and I fell in love with it, and are already scheming to return next month! The owner, Julie, is lovely, as is her family and verrrry cute dog, Eloise. Mom and I enjoyed sitting out on the porch in comfy Adirondack chairs in the mornings and evenings. We also watched movies on the comfy couch and I TRIED to make delicious dinners in the sunny, open, well-stocked kitchen (but I'm a terrible cook.). Mom enjoyed baths in the clawfoot tub and I enjoyed listening to CDs on the surprisingly good speakers. Nice neighbors strolled by on the alleyway in front of the cottage, including some humans, some cats, a few deer, some dragonflies, bumblebees, and lots of birds. We can't wait to return!
We stayed 5 nights and loved every minute of it! We used this cottage as home base and walked, hiked and swam every day! It was charming and delightful! Thank you
We really enjoyed our stay here. It has artful interior decorations and is very clean. It is in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by a lovely garden.
Super cute cottage with everything, and more, that you'd need for a stay in Ashland. Well stocked with high quality items. It's a few extra blocks from town than some other places, and there was one 5 AM train that went by, but other than that, perfect!
This was the perfect space for myself while in town for a few weeks. From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The cottage is stocked with everything you need to have a comfortable stay - kitchen utensils/dishes/basic pantry items, washer and dryer with detergent, bathroom amenities. I was impressed with all that there was to offer. Much more than I typically have experienced in vacation rental. Julie left very clear outlines of the in's and out's of the space and the how-to's of trash, coming and going, etc. She was always accessible and when the water heater went out during my stay, she had it replaced and hot water again in only a few hours - seamless! It is quiet, gets lots of great natural light, is easy walk to town, has great areas to relax outside on both the front and backside of the cottage, and is furnished with charm and comfort... it feels like so much more than a basic short term rental... it truly feels like a home. Julie is an extremely attentive and hospitable host. They leave you be and yet, are warm and friendly for anything you may need. Thank you Julie for such a enjoyable stay! I can't say enough great things!
Very well stocked and comfortable for two adults and a child. The owner was definitely accommodating. The location was great for us, though the view wasn’t the best-but a down to earth part of Ashland. We hope to return.
It had easy access to town and she had all the comforts of home. We would go back
We had a wonderful stay at Julie's cottage. The self check-in was super simple, and everything in the cottage was as described. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. It was chilly outside, but the heaters and stove kept us cozy inside. We hope to return, and highly recommend this rental.
This property was perfect for our recent Ashland adventure! My husband, 2 year old and I enjoyed a long fall weekend here. The house is sparkling clean and very cozy. My daughter loved the little sleeping nook. The claw foot tub is a lovely bonus and the cottage is just a short walk into the city center. Lots of restaurants and shops and a beautiful park right there. I would definitely stay here again. The owner is thoughtful- she left the light on for us because we were arriving after dark. She was also kind enough to send a few dolls my daughter left behind. Great town, perfect cottage and nice owners!
Thanks Julie for the stay in the sweet mermaid cottage. Loved the touches of robes, coffee and, although we did not drink the wine, what a generous offer! Marie & I had a lovely stay, enjoying the autumn colors and the vibrancy of Ashland. It was so nice to be able to walk to town...our visit to Lithia Park and going to see Hairspray were highlights! Shopping in the plaza and eating out were great as well. I would definitely recommend your place for friends coming to Ashland! Thanks again!! Rosann
My wife and I drove cross country from Maryland for a wedding in California, and stopped in Ashland for a few days to visit family. The cottage is wonderful - whimsical, clean, spacious -- exactly as advertised. Over the course of our trip, this was the best place we stayed. This is much more than a rental cottage - it has the touches and character of a loved home. We met Julie and her dog, Eloise, in the back yard and enjoyed our conversation very much. The Cottage is an easy walk to all the great spots in Ashland.
Wonderful weekend stay in sweet comfortable mermaid martini themed cottage during the perfect time of year.
A sweet little house in a quiet neighborhood, 10-minute walk to Shakespeare Festival. Julie and Sean are excellent hosts. House is well-appointed, spotlessly clean, and very cozy.
I just loved this cottage, so cozy and decorated brilliantly. Had everything one would need and within easy walking district of OSF, downtown shops, and railroad district.
This spotless and charmingly ( not cloyingly) decorated cottage was a perfect spot to stay while in town for the Shakespeare festival. While the cottage itself is vintage, everything inside appeared brand new and worked beautifully. The neighborhood is quiet but was a quick walk to theaters and restaurants. We had a delightful stay!
The cottage is spacious for two (or even three, but the bed in the nook might be better for a child or a rather accommodating adult). The cottage is light filled and has nice artistic/whimsical decor, much better closet and wardrobe space than many rentals, and well-provisioned kitchen. Birds abound both in the cute backyard garden with the bird fountain and area across from the front door. With the sale of the adjacent cottage, the parking is now around the corner (~400-500 ft.) on the street, where there was always ample parking. We look forward to staying here again on our future trips to Ashland.
Everything was wonderful from check in to check out. The home was clean and well appointed. Walking distance to downtown and grocery store. Look forward to visiting again
This sweet little cottage is absolutely adorable and a peaceful retreat in Ashland. Walkable to the theaters, the food co-op and everything you need. Delightfully furnished and comfortable. Highly recommended!
We spent 5 nights in this sweet little cottage. The location is very convenient to the Railroad District and downtown. The hosts provided everything we needed and the cottage is nicely appointed. The washer and dryer were a bonus. We will definitely stay here again.
This property was just perfect for our needs and the home was as well appointed as any I have ever seen. The decor was marvelous - right up our alley - so we loved our stay and could easily imagine staying longer next time.
We really enjoyed our stay in this bright and cozy cottage. Julie is an awesome host providing just the right touches to make it feel welcoming and comfortable. It is a great location, with a nice stroll into town. All around a great visit! Becky
Adorable home within short walking distance to OSF! Had a wonderful Honeymoon there and will definitely be back!
very clean, well located near theatre and park after short walk, also coop for groceries. Is air conditioned. Very quiet.
Had a three night stay here for myself and my adult daughter. Everything was fresh and clean, and exactly as described in the listing. Beds were comfortable; good shower and kitchen. Met the owner briefly and she gave us excellent recommendations for places to go in town. Would definitely stay here again.
We go back to Oregon Shakespeare again and again...and this is our place to stay.
Such a gem of a Property! Perfect location, quiet, clean, well appointed and comfy. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality and thoughtful touches - I would definitely recommend this place!
Pros: 1) Very cute and well-maintained vintage cottage in a high-end residential part of Ashland. 2) Adorable, small, well-maintained yard with lots of flowers and mature trees. 3) Well stocked kitchen (meaning it had everything we needed to cook full meals). 4) Everything worked (meaning the stereo worked, the water pressure was good, the toaster turned on, etc). 5) An updated heating/fan system that was great for maintaining a pleasant temperature. Cons: 1) It’s approximately 35 yards from train tracks (a train went by about once a day when we were there and NOT during the night). This really wasn’t a big deal to us but I was surprised to see how close the tracks were when we arrived. 2) Even though we paid a cleaning fee and left the place put together (and not a big mess) we were charged even more for cleaning after we left. I know this is common practice with vacation rentals but I don’t appreciate it. If you pay a cleaning fee, that should be it. 3) There was a TV, it turned on, but as far as I could tell it got about 10 fuzzy (pretty much unwatchable) channels- not a big deal to us but a good thing to know if you anticipate watching TV during your time in Ashland. Overall positive experience!
This is a great little cottage, especially if you like older homes. It's very well appointed for cooking and relaxing. Well situated near downtown Ashland. The hosts were very helpful in communication, while doing a great job of preserving our (and their) privacy.
We loved our stay here! My husband, son, and I arrived in the evening, after a long drive through traffic and weather on I-5. The porch light was on and the house was warm and cozy. The cottage has all of the necessities and more...everything was clean and functioning. There is a washer /dryer which was really convenient. The decor was really cute and casual enough to make it feel homey. . Great location, we walked to downtown for meals and shopping. The bed was very comfortable. Although there are a few homes on the property, it felt very private. And best of all, it snowed in Ashland while we were there!
Great owner and very nice to talk with her. We would definitely stay in this amazing historic cottage again!
Lovely cozy cottage right by town... just like home with 4 star hotel amenities !
We loved staying here! It's super clean, conveniently located, quiet, whimsically decorated, stocked with everything we needed, and the bed was so comfy. We will definitely rent it again on our next visit to Ashland!
We are counting down the days until we can book this sweet place again! There was plenty of space, were well-stocked amenities, and Julie was and is a great communicator.
THis is our second time staying here. We love the location - a short walk to the coop and theaters both but not as busy as some of the streets in this area. The cottage is well stocked and comfortable for two- might be a bit crowded for three unless it's a family.
We enjoyed staying at the cottage. Easy walking distance to the Shakespeare Festival, the Plaza, the Co-op, Lithia Park, and the Bear Creek Trail. There were a couple of drawbacks - the bathroom is tiny, has a claw-foot tub with a surround shower curtain that wasn't the easiest to use and the sink is small; the bedroom is also tiny and there isn't a night stand on one side of the bed so the person on that side of the bed doesn't have any place to set things down. However, the kitchen was fine with full size appliances and a dishwasher. All-in-all, it was a good place to stay and we will consider it for the next time we're in Ashland.
The cottage was darling and very comfortable with everything one would need. I enjoyed spending time in the sweet back yard and sitting on the front porch with a cup of tea, watching the hummingbirds and goldfinches.
We loved this bright cheerful cottage. It was an easy walk to our three day adventure at the Shakespeare festival. Smoke from forest fires prevented us from taking full advantage of the charming front porch and back garden patio area but there was plenty of space for three adults in the main living/dining room to sit, chat, listen to music, enjoy breakfast. We ate out because of our play schedule but if you wanted to cook the kitchen is well appointed with cooking implements plus tea, coffee and a variety of condiments. We appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine enjoyed at the end of the day. Thank you Julie, a lovely idea. The beds were comfortable, always a bonus for me, even the low fold out one in the alcove( my brother in law slept there). Welcome chocolates were a nice touch. The bathroom has access from the bedroom and the kitchen so it works for three adults. Plenty of towels, an array of shampoos/conditioners/shower gels and a claw footed tub with shower. It had high sides so the grab rail at the end of the bath made getting in and out much easier than I had anticipated. The water pressure in the shower was great and the non slip mat which fitted perfectly meant I didn't have any cause for concern. Location was quiet with very little traffic. Apparently there was a night train but I was blissfully unaware. I would not hesitate to book this charming cottage again if it was available. Thank you Julie, your attention to detail added to the charm and enjoyment of our stay.
Great location and a nice cottage to relax in during our stay. Would definitely come back.
Very nice cottage, fully stocked and walking distance to the plaza. I liked the antique feel of the place, the workers said it was but around 1900 and it feels like it. In spite off this out was comfortable, with a nice garden, well stacked and lots of room. We were stuck inside a lot because of the smoke, so we enjoyed the space. One suggestion is to update some of the furnishing s in the dining room.. chairs were a little stiff. .. we will look for this one when we come again
What a lovely cottage. Has all the amenities - full kitchen, laundry and very comfortable bed. Linens are top notch, and everything was immaculate. 10 minutes walking to OSF, porches in both front and back - highly recommend!
Cozy cottage an easy walk from downtown and the Shakespsaee Festival. Well-equipped and charming, with a quiet private garden. There's even a friendly dog! We'll be back.
We loved our stay at Casita Sirena. It's an adorable cottage, sensitively restored, bright and light with beautifully chosen decorator items and pillows, quilted throws, and artwork. The air conditioning works well, as do the ceiling fans. The queen bed was very comfortable, Claw-foot tub and shower in the bath, the medicine cabinet filled with bath products. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, spices, coffee, and even a wonderful wine selection--a free bottle with each stay, otherwise replace what you use. There is a lovely private patio with table and chairs in the back, perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. The location is excellent: It was an easy 10-12 minute walk to the Shakespeare Festival, and the Ashland Coop is only a few blocks away. It's also very quiet at night. The owner is nearby and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed this comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood setting within walking distance to many of Ashland's sites. Perfect for the three of us, with all of the comforts of home. I was able to cook each night, my daughter enjoyed her television and the pull out single futon that was long enough for her 6 ft self! My husband enjoyed the great wireless internet so he could get a little bit of work done. We return to Ashland every year for the Shakespeare festival and look forward to scheduling this fine vacation home in our future!
This place is in a quiet part of town, but walkable to the theatres and shopping. It has a well-equipped kitchen and bath, and provides a comfortable place to stay while visiting Ashland. Friendly hosts and dog are icing on the cake!
This adorable little cottage is well equipped, cozy and quiet. It is easy to walk from the cottage to Main street and the theaters.
Great spot. Loved it.
We liked the area, close to many outdoor activities and the walk to all the theaters made it perfect for our short stay. We would stay again if given the opportunity.
Super comfortable stay with everything we needed. Clean and colorful.
We had a wonderful time in Ashland using this cottage as our home base. You can walk everywhere. The unit is quiet and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.
We had a wonderful time! So sorry we didn’t get to meet Julie or Eloise this time but we will definitely be back soon!
I love the cottage. Extremely cozy and comfortable. Quirky, eclectic decor. Very, very clean. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed and bedding are super comfortable. I travelled to Ashland to see plays. The cottage is a short walk to the the Oregon Shakespeare Festival campus. I reserved the cottage for two more visits this summer. I can't wait to come back.
My husband and I stayed 5 days while visiting family. The cottage is very comfortable and quiet and generously furnished. It was meticulous. It is easy to move into- accessible wifi, well supplied kitchen, easily managed heating/cooling. The walls are soft colors with bright, interesting and fun art work. The Ashland food co-op, Lithia Park, and the Shakespeare theaters are all within easy walking distance as are many restaurants, Bloomsbury books and coffee and the Ashland library, and green space walking trails. Julie was helpful to my family before our arrival and always quick to respond to my emails and questions. We will most certainly book another stay.
because we want it all to ourselves. We spent 5 nights (2/9/18-2/14/18) at the house and it could not have been a more relaxing, enjoyable stay. Our daughter is a student at SOU and we came to Ashland for a visit. She loves to cook with my husband, they were both thrilled with the fully equipped kitchen. I am not a fan of hotel rooms and this cottage was the perfect alternative. The owners are extremely responsive, but respectful of your privacy. They live in the main house in front and your paths may cross. If lucky, you will meet their golden lab. The house has everything you could want-robes, games, even wine on the honor system. Very sunny and airy on warmer days, heated up well on the colder mornings. We hope to stay here for all future visits.
This whimsical mermaid themed cottage suited our three night stay perfectly! First of all it was immaculatly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Every detail was attended to thoughtfully. From the kitchen with quality pots and pans, cute dishes, cocktail cabinet, decent knives amd even my favorite Irish tea. Wine program too with one bottle on the house. Bathroom supplied with very good argan oil shampoo and conditioner. The location was great too. Short walk to town and to the Food coop which was really nice. This is a sweet, cozy, charming, and clean cottage with a gas cast iron heater and central heat. An alcove has a fold out chair bed too. 70’s CD’s were fun to listen too and there is of course wifi. Julie was also the perfect hostess with the mostest. Comunicative but respected your privacy. We will book again when we visit next.
Easy walk to the center of town. Fully equipped (but small). We used and appreciated the full-size laundry and kitchen appliances during our five-night stay. Friendly owners and creative decor. Cute and warm gas heating stove, (we visited at New Years), with a quiet and private location off the alley. The little house and the rooms are cozy but it all works for a young family or a couple. Would definitely consider renting again on our next visit to Ashland.
Delightful wine program. Enjoy one and replace if you enjoy more than one bottle!
Beautiful, comfortable, cozy stay. Highly recommend!
My husband, two year old daughter, and I felt as though we could move in to this sweet little home! The natural character of the original building is fully in tact, so you get to have that feeling of honoring the hands that built the home and the eyes that first took in the Ashland landscape. Additionally, Julie has thought of everything, so all modern needs are met easily and comfortably. She was very friendly and readily answered our questions. Though it was a little too chilly to enjoy the back garden when we were there, I enjoyed a few sips of coffee among the raindrops. I can only imagine how lovely it would be on a crisp, sunny morning! It is also a perfect distance from town. We walked to the bakery and food co-op (a must-must go!) and enjoyed some lovely walks around the quieter end of the neighborhood. Try to arrive in daylight as it is a bit tricky to find, but 100% worth it. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
We had a lovely stay at this cottage! My 8 year old daughter loved sleeping in the nook just off the bedroom - where a chair converts into a small bed. The kitchen is large and has just about everything needed for cozy nights at home. Great communication from the host, quiet neighborhood, yet really close to downtown (we walked everywhere!).
A lovely place to stay in Ashland . . . well equipped, cozy, a short walk to downtown and the theaters, and a quick ride to bike trail
We had a pleasant stay, and enjoyed the location. Kitchen is unsuslly well equipped.
We enjoyed staying here while were in town to see plays. The cottage allows you to have some space to relax- both in the living room and outside in the lovely yard. The kitchen had all that we needed though we didn't really do any cooking. We did use dishes, etc for breakfast , lunch and coffee. But mostly just headed up water and used the microwave. The location is great- close to OSF and Coop as well as a nice view of the hills. We walked every morning from there and really enjoyed that.
My husband and I spent a week at this lovely cottage. Everything was as described or better! Walk to everything from this surprisingly private location. The cottage is clean, charming and stocked with everything needed for a short or long term stay. The bed is comfortable and the two mini split a/c units, plus ceiling fans keep the air temperature just right - which makes a gigantic difference in the quality of traveling to us! Julie and Sean are great hosts - they are there if you need them and respectful of your privacy if you don't. This is the perfect place to stay in Ashland for a couple. Highly recommended - I hope to be back very soon!
Fabulously decorated and even more fabulously provisioned, the cottage is a perfect combination of the magic of a vacation spot and the practicality of a home away home.
Cute, colorful cottage with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay in Ashland. Walking distance to town, quiet and very clean.
We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. A quiet spot away from traffic and an easy walk to anywhere we wanted to go in town. A well stocked kitchen (spices, coffee, tea and condiments) was nice when we were cooking meals. I loved the plush cotton robes and bottle of wine awaiting us on our arrival. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Julie's cottage in Ashland. The location is an easy 5-10min walk to the theaters and a good number of restaurants off the main drag that were happy discoveries (Check out Taj for great Indian and Tot for amazing Vietnamese BBQ!). The cottage itself is just the right size for 2 and really homey–everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether you are barely there or mostly indoors (as we were, due to the smoke from the Chetco Bar wild fire). We didn't get to enjoy the backyard/garden patio, but it looks very inviting. Communications with Julie were fantastic–she's responsive, helpful and friendly.
Cute cottage in a quiet nice neighborhood yet still close to the plays and amenities in the downtown area. It would be perfect for a couple.
We stayed in the cottage for 5 nights, and it was perfect for us (family of 3). Very cute, felt more spacious than I expected, and well-stocked for a vacation rental. We loved having a small backyard as well. There was a heat wave in Ashland while we were there (100+ temps), but the AC worked and the house stayed pleasantly cool. The house is easy walking distance to Lithia Park, downtown, and the Food Co-op - we didn't use our car the entire stay! Would definitely stay again if (when) we make it back to Ashland.
We truly enjoyed our stay in Ashland, due in no small part to our accommodations. This sweet, cheerful cottage was stocked with just about everything you could think of, and the location couldn’t have suited our needs any better. Just a quick walk from the center of Ashland or a swift hop onto the main road, the cottage is located off the street and manages to stay very quiet. Julie, the owner was super helpful and responsive to my questions and her gregarious dog kept everyone entertained. A casual home away from home. We’d definitely stay again.
PROS: This cottage is close enough to downtown that you can easily walk into town (about 1/2 mile away), while being tucked on a side street away from any noise. We came home in the evenings to many deer bedded down for the night - its so quiet. With a beautifully landscaped (and clearly loved) backyard area as well, this really is a place to get away! The home had lots of amenities - bottles of wine, beer in the fridge, coffee, lots of towels, extra blankets, sheets, REALLY GOOD shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We loved all the goodies and felt pampered. I also really appreciated seeing the Penzey's spices in the cupboard. Lots to choose from too!! The whole experience felt like we were visiting a friend, not staying in a rental home. CONS: There weren't many. While being .5 miles from downtown isn't far - there are certainly closer places to stay. It would have been nice to have a bike and we will be bringing ours next time! There are train tracks extremely close by and interrupted the peace a bit. In the 3 days we were there, we heard one train and it passed in about 60 seconds - so it wasn't a big deal for us.
Cheerful and lovely cottage!
This well decorated cottage was perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked and the hostess ensured that every detail was covered for our pleasant stay. Full kitchen, laundry and close to our Shakespeare play. Great stay!!!!
This VRBO cottage worked out great for my wife, 1 year old and I. It is very clean and is located on a quiet street/alley with little to no traffic. We would stay here again. Adam
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage for a mountain bike weekend getaway over Memorial Day weekend. We were able to park our car and bike or walk anywhere we wanted. Thought it got warm that weekend, we were able to open the windows and a nice breeze flowed throughout (only turned on the bedroom AC the 2nd night). Thanks again for the great stay!
A friend and I stayed at this charming Ashland cottage after a fun filled night of activities in Downtown Ashland. This lovely vintage home is immaculate and beautifully decorated in a most cheerful way! We fell into the comfortable bed with its luxurious linens and got a great nights rest. In the morning we enjoyed coffee that was provided and headed out. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone interested in staying in Ashland.👍🏼
