Guilford, Connecticut
Experience one of CT's most desirable and family friendly shoreline areas - Mulberry Point (a private association) in historic Guilford. This special spot provides a little bit of Maine-like coast close to New York complete with craggy shore, tide pools, protected private sandy beach (perfect for children) and cove. This winterized cottage sits on a bluff overlooking one of the most picturesque views in CT - from the sun room, gaze at Faulker's Island Lighthouse amid the expanse of blue sea and sky. The area is a kayaker's paradise - paddle around the rocky and sandy shoreline, marshes, and more than 30 islands off Stony Creek which is just 5 mins away by car. Our historic town offers the best of New England charm and amenities.

Wonderful experience. Plan to return.
Very nice, comfotable cottage w fabulous views
We had a relaxing stay and swam everyday in the cove. The view from the cottage was beautiful, the neighborhood lovely with friendly people, and the owner was helpful and available but not intrusive. The cottage itself was charminng with a well-equipped kitchen. Real value for the price.
This is a perfect vacation home and immaculately eat off the floor clean, with comfy beds, a lovely renovated bathroom with really nice shampoo and soaps, a fully stocked kitchen including coffee, tea, spices,.oil and vinegars,, and just about every imaginable tool: Salad spinner, pots & pans, serving platters, barware, small appliances, good knives, meat thermometer for grilling, lobster crackers, the list goes on. Charming living room/dining area. We barely used the AC units as the sea breezes were delightful. Finally, the views. Whatever plans you have for the area, just realize you will only accomplish half of them because there is just not enough time to sit on the patio and stare at the water with a coffee or cocktail in hand. Monica and Bill are accommodating and gracious and immediately answered any questions we had. Didn't want to leave and we hope to return soon.
This home has the best of everything - beautiful view, charming location, close to town and activities, and a host that has thought of every detail big and small.
From start to finish our vacation was absolutely fantabulous. The owner, Monica was just delightful to work with. The Rose Cottage was so clean and comfortable. The view, all we can do is WOW. Highly recommended!
i wish i could give more than 5 stars, because that's what this property deserves. It is one of the cleanest, most well equipped homes we've stayed in, and we've stayed in a lot! Definitely on our list for a return visit. And, oh yes, location, location, location. Views of the cove and the sound from many windows, and those roses. Wow! I could go on and on, but you need to experience this for yourself, You'll be so glad you did.
Better than ever
Beautiful location facing the water. Tranquil. All the great reviews are accurate. Monica has thought of everything and has gone beyond with supplying literally everything. Even a gift of chocolates from the shop in town. The pantry is stocked. The kitchen has every pot, muffin tin etc. Very clean and safe. The owners live next door and happy to be invisible or in touch for anything needed. Hope to come again!
The “Rose Cottage” was everything it claimed and more. The views were spectacular, the house immaculately maintained, and a super host with attention to details. Would unequivocally recommend (except for the weeks I would love to be there)!
