There is a pull out couch in the living room but this owner prefers to not have 6 adults in the unit, 5 adults and 1 child is fine. The space is perfect for evenings together after a day full of adventure. Just off the dining room you have a nice covered balcony which faces south. Mature aspen trees provide summer shade while framing your views of the ski slopes and the southern Yampa valley.
In both winter and summer, this property's location is ideal. In winter, doesn't everyone want to be able to ski right home? This property is what we call Ski in Walk Out. When you're coming home for lunch or at the end of the day, even beginners will be able to ski right back to the building, conditions permitting. When you're ready start your day, or head back out after lunch, you walk out then ski out. Just go down 1 flight of steps, across a private drive, then down another set of steps, and then you can ski right down a beginner level trail to the Christie Peak Express or Gondola. Of course, you can walk to the Gondola too. The entire ski area base is within easy walking distance, including the free city bus, which will take you to and from anywhere in town, year round. Summer guests have a lot to love about this location too. Hiking and biking are at your doorstep. The base area is alive with activity and ideal for families with kids. Burgess Creek flows gently though the area and kids will love splashing around. Many restaurants and shops provide refreshing and energizing offerings. You can rock climb, mini-golf, soar high on bungee trampolines, ride alpine slides, do ropes courses, and more. Of course you can also head up the Gondola for hiking, biking, or amazing sunset happy hours. The base area hosts many special events throughout ski season and summer, including free concerts, fireworks displays, art shows, ski races, rail jams, and so much more. The "outlaw" mountain coaster is open in summer and ski season, and don't be surprised if you see some wildlife either - this property is adjacent to national forest after all.
