Enjoy a getaway to Crystal Bay in North Lake Tahoe. This lakefront studio is the perfect accommodation for a couple looking to escape and enjoy breathtaking views of the lake. The unit is conveniently located at the lakefront, offering easy access to its sandy shores. Guests will also find themselves just down the street from trailheads, and a quick car ride away from restaurants, north lake casinos, including kings beach, and incline village. The local TART bus picks up in front of the house, so you can take a quick trip down into kings beach, or any of the north lake stops, worry-free from the hassles of driving or parking if you wish. In the wintertime, local ski resorts offer free shuttle service and will pick you up if you arrange ahead of time.
Upon entering the studio dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows create a scenic backdrop as the blue lake sits before you. The studio space seamlessly connects a sleeping area, kitchen, and living room. The sleeping arrangement is composed of a king size bed, equipped with high quality linens, tucked into the corner adjacent to a lake view - enjoy waking up to sunrise over the lake. Keep warm and cozy with the gas fireplace and a space heater.
Past the bed is a kitchenette equipped with a refridgerator, stove, and microwave. These essentials are everything you will need to whip up a delicious meal. The tall dining table has 2 bar stools for you and your guest to dine over a home cooked meal together. A washer and dryer are also located off of this area, suitable for wet swim suits after a trip to the lake.
The living room is great for lounging on the cozy sofa while enjoying the ambiance of the gas fireplace. Curl up with your morning coffee while watching the lake ripple and lush pine trees sway in the wind or turn on the flat screen 32” smart tv for a movie. A window air conditioning unit is available to keep you cool. There is also one full bathroom at the end of the studio. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo, stocked with high-quality Egyptian cotton towels and bath rugs.
If you are in the mood to dine alfresco step outside onto the private balcony. The balcony is prepared with a patio table and 2 chairs alongside a BBQ. Fire up the BBQ to grill something tasty. This is the perfect space to stargaze from at night or sunbathe on those warm summer days.
Because the home is in an elevated area, the deck can be a safety concern for children. This home is not suitable for children. There is a very strict maximum occupancy of 2 guests.
Renters must acknowledge that the driveway to the property is steep and dangerous, and that they waive any claim against the owner due to the driveway. Renters must carry liability insurance should there be any damage to themselves or others due to their use of the driveway. It is very important that during the winter everyone in your party has an all wheel drive or a 4 wheel drive vehicle with snow tires (not street or all terrain tires). Snow tires being key. The driveway is VERY steep and no street parking is allowed.
Due to COVID, there are changes in ski resort availabilities. Please make sure to check the ski resorts’ policies on reservations and tickets if you plan on hitting the slopes. We cannot provide refunds based on reservation inabilities at the ski resorts.
**We highly suggest purchasing Travel Insurance during the winter season when weather and road conditions can be unpredictable. Please check the Division of Traffic websites and travel at your own risk. Without the purchase of Travel Insurance, your Vacation Home Rental Reservation cannot be canceled due to poor weather conditions.**

We had an issue and tried to cancel the stay and was told there is a zero cancellation policy. I purchased the insurance and then was told that my reason (my wife is in the medical field) and was going to be called in was not a legitimate or covered reason. We, unfortunately, had to cancel and received nothing but a bill and poor customer service. Good luck if something comes up out of your control.
View was spectacular, bed and linens were premium.
The views from the house are incredible!!! It is a little dated but we were prepared for that. There have been some updates in the bathroom. The inside of the house was clean but the outside of the house needs some cleanup. The stairs down had cobwebs and lots of pine needles…not welcoming. It is now very well lit though. This unit is attached to a main house which definitely needs some clean up as there was stuff everywhere (wheel barrel, piece of siding, ladders, equip and looked like old junk thrown in the side yard). Our biggest complaint is the water in the shower…beware and take a shower at your own risk!!!! First the bathtub faucet just pulls out and turns and turns in either direction with no stopping point so it is extremely hard to find the right temp. It is either freezing cold or scolding hot. IF you find a tolerable temp beware it only stays that way for about 15-30 second before turning back freezing cold or scolding hot again. It took over 5 minutes each morning to find a tolerable temp that would last for literally seconds. Now we understand a previous review that said No Hot Water because it takes a very long time to find it. I hope the owner fixes this issue soon. We did text mgmt but didn’t hear back.
No hot water No windows that open PSYCHO DRIVEWAY rent only with one’s personal vehicle
Perfect for a couple weekend getaway.
Beautiful area and beautiful view. Should provide instructions for ceiling fan (location of remote) and heater. Very comfortable stay!
Pros: THE VIEW! Spectacular 180 degree view across the lake to Incline Village and shoreline. The bed, very soft, comfortable with good quality sheets. Some new knives present, nice plates and bowls. Outdoor deck had a BBQ and small table/chairs as shown. Washer /dryer a bonus! Because our trip was originally scheduled during the heavy smoke from forest fires, and subsequent evacuations, the owners were kind enough to allow us to reschedule for a few weeks later. Cons: This property is rustic and as such appears to be in original condition. The staircase is quite steep and a bit wobbly. No outdoor lighting except in parking area. The driveway is very steep and with the pine needles present (or snow in winter) caused the car (an AWD) to slide down. Although the unit was basically clean, it could use a deep cleaning as dustballs were present in many places, water damage and cracks in wood on window ledges, doors, and ceiling, towels were old, torn, and had blood-like stains on them. Kitchen had a mishmash of utensils, and only 3 old forks, knives, and spoons, none matching, creating a need for frequent dishwashing. Communication with the property management company was terrible at best, they still have not answered emails from July, and August. The management company has also not refunded my money, despite requests to do so and it has been over 4 weeks. Book at your own risk.
This property had a great view and a quite atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful views, neighbors friendly. Cabin small but perfect for nature lovers. Quiet and peaceful area.
Smaller and older then expected. View was great! It's basically a converted space under a deck but very stayable. Could use some renovations but overall not bad.
