Booking was stress free thanks to Leslie and her husband. The resort staff were all very nice. One of our members arrived late at night and the front desk was able to get her a meal. The rooms are nice but could use a little updating in the bathrooms. Don't limit yourself to the resort dining. There are a few restaurants with good food that are a short walk down the beach.
We had an AMAZING time during our Christmas/New Year’s stay at the resort. Our 3 bedroom suite was lovely and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. We usually stay in condominiums so it was very nice to have maid service every day as opposed to twice a week. Our VIP rep took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was fantastic, as was the entertainment. Our favorite restaurant was the Asian fusion one – Kimonos (although the Italian one – Basil and Tomatoes came in a close second.) My husband and our friends really enjoyed the New Years Eve party – the food was over-the-top and the music, dancers, etc. really made for a memorable evening. We did run into a few people who were not happy with their accommodations but, as we always travel during peak holiday periods we prepare ourselves to deal with inevitable inconveniences. This time though, we had none! Some people seemed very high maintenance and this is not a good way to be if you travel during the holidays. We also talked to others who did not receive the accommodations they booked and they just made the best of it and enjoyed themselves. All in all, it seemed the majority of guests were having a great time. I would definitely visit this resort and again and highly recommend booking through Bob and Leslie.
I can echo the sentiments of the previous reviewer who did not have a good experience over Christmas/New Years. We also booked and paid for a 3 bedroom and were escorted to a 2 bedroom. Did they not think we would notice a bedroom missing?! Made me furious that they did not even try to explain the overbooking problem or offer any solutions. Told us to talk to VIP as well. We got the same run around and felt the management to be very dishonest and shady. We never were given another room to accommodate our 5 guests and certainly were never moved to a 3 bedroom. Our 5th person slept on a mattress on the living room floor for the week. I would also have to say that this is far from the VIP experience I had envisioned. Their is no special beach for VIP. Those beautiful cabana beds you see with the curtains will not be available to you, they are only reservable by people wearing "true" VIP gold bracelets. The only advantage I can see to the VIP that I can see is the fact you get a bottle of alcohol per adult for your room for the week. We also ended up eating at the buffet the entire week because they only had availability at the Italian restaurant for our last night there! It also was not very good and differed little from the buffet food. The buffet food is average at best. Positives at this resort are the service and entertainment people and the beach is beautiful. I will also add that Bob did his best to make calls to try to get this situation resolved but in the end was of no help. So basically if you book this way and things don't turn out the way they should, you are on your own to deal with the management at the resort who could care less. I asked for a partial refund from Bob and it was given which I appreciated. I would not recommend this resort based on our experience.
We had a terrible time with this resort, I wish we had heeded the warnings of other site's reviews. I felt safer with VRBO and this site's reviews were more positive, not to mention reassurances from Bob. We paid for a 3BR for 5 adults, one of whom was 73 years old. We check in, are assigned a room, escorted to the room only to realize it was a 2BR. Go back to front desk, & were told to talk to VIP. VIP says 3BR isn't available and several others checking in that day will be in the same boat. We were told to check back the next day, which we did. The next morning we were told we'd either have a 3BR or an additional room to accommodate our 5th guest and to check back at 1 pm. At that time they still weren't sure, but would find us when they knew. At 3:30 pm I was very anxious, for I saw and heard several other guests speaking about similar issues. I also met several groups who had checked out of a 3BR so I knew they were available. I went back at 3:30 & was told they were "still looking into it" and that a solution would be found, but this time one of the "solutions" included that we'd have no resolution at all and would be stuck in a 2BR for our 10 day stay. I was furious--management stories were changing, the people we needed to talk to either were "on lunch" or "away from the resort" at that time, etc., etc. Lie after lie after lie. Bob attempted to help and made the calls to assist, but in the end told me he had done all he could do. I finally got an additional room to accommodate our party, sparing someone from sleeping on a mattress on the floor, which several other guests had to do, but this only came because we wouldn't leave until we spoke to the person we needed to see...it was constant pestering and raised voices. Not at all how you want to spend Christmas of all days. Even after speaking with MEMBERS themselves, I learned they were in the same boat (reserved a 3BR, got a 2BR). The sales people pretty much left us alone because they knew we were so upset with the resort. It wasn't until we left the resort for excursions that we truly enjoyed Punta Cana. The people there were warm and welcoming--just delightful. It's too bad Presidential Suites doesn't have their act together--the resort has much promise, as the beach is beautiful and their cabanas are nice. Service is so-so and likely based on your VIP status, as we got shoddy services on the beach and housekeeping. Very disappointing experience and cannot recommend.
Wow, while not very big, the people and service provided are top shelf. Everything is close enough you wont spend more than 5 minutes getting around, and its so clean. The food was great, the rooms very spacious, and the people that work the resort are very personable and very helpful. If your looking for an all inclusive that has it all, without the headache of needing a golf cart to get around in, this is it -
This was a wonderful vacation. Six of us went for my girlfriends 30th birthday and were pampered throughout our stay. We stayed in the three bedroom and had plenty of space. The view of the pool was amazing and the main restaurant was fantastic. It is difficult to get reservations at two of the restaurants so I would suggest reserving early in your stay. Overall a fantastic experience that we plan on doing annually!
The accommodation were beyond our wildest dreams. Huge and beautiful. The resort was a little small but that did not stop us from having a great vacation. Would recommend and will return.
Bob and Leslie where great. They sent is all the information we could have possibly needed and then some. They were very responsive and we felt very comfortable being first time VRBO users. We talked to a few other people at the resort and they paid more for the room and the daily all inclusive rate. The price is hard to beat! The resort is beautiful and safe. You arrive to a gated and guarded resort, and are dropped off right where you need to check in. The process was pretty easy and straight forward. We arrived around noon and although check in wasn't until 3 I believe, hey gave us our wrist bands and we where able to go and eat and get drinks and they kept our bags. We had a 3 bedroom villa, facing the pool. There where some issues with the room, but overall it was spacious and clean. The freezer was frozen inside so the fridge stayed warm. We requested to have it fixed 3-4 times, but no one ever came. One of the master bathroom sinks didn't drain well, and we had some trouble with flushing toilets. Overall nothing that really bothered us. The bracelets we had to wear where kind of obnoxious. Food: My husband and I are big food people. We visited all 3 restaurants and all where good. Kimono was our favorite. The buffet sometimes felt like the selection was limited but quality was always there. If you order one of there MANY super yummy frozen drinks, asked for extra alcohol. I think they might make them weak intentionally so people don't pass out in the sun. The white wine they had was really good. The beach cabanas are AWESOME. With that being said, you have to get them early! You don't call in, just walk down and put stuff on them either super early (6am) or really late the night before. There are people who walk down the beach selling stuff. Find the guy who sells coconuts, buy one, order a shot of rum and enjoy :) Only real negative I could think of is most of the staff speaks mainly Spanish and very little English. Some staff where better than others, but there where only a few times we couldn't articulate what we needed and got something other than what we asked for. Also, they will try to ask you if you are interested in buying a membership at the hotel, we said no thank you and they didn't bother us the rest of the trip. Just be nice but firm.
I'll start this review with the preface that my group and I were extremely skeptical going in to this trip. There were six of us, all late twenties, all in desperate need of a vacation. We found this deal on HomeAway with $30 dollars off the daily all inclusive rate, and a significantly less expensive room rate, and the promise of a stocked fridge and several bottles of alcohol waiting for us in our room. DELIVERED. The grounds are immaculate, the beach pristine, and people friendly. The food was alright, but that was to be expected with all inclusive. The only down side is the aggressive sales tactics by the employees, but once you hard pass, they leave you alone. Bob and Leslie were usually prompt to respond and they arranged for our rides to and from the airport. You'll get picked up in a stretch limo with tons of free booze, but if you don't buy a timeshare, you get taken back in a nice van. Take advantage of this offer!
My friends and I were very impressed with this property. Everything found in the overview is accurate and the owners were helpful during the entire booking process. When we arrived we were assigned a staff member who helped us book dinner reservations and showed us around. The room was very clean and spacious. We had in room bottle service and our refrigerator was stocked daily with fruits and beverages. The stuff made the experience even more enjoyable! I would definitely be booking through this couple again.
We spent four nights here in a 2 bedroom villa. It was beautiful, clean, the fridge was stocked with beer, water, and soda. An employee came up to get our order for individual bottle service. We ate at both Kimono's and Basil- Kimono's we had the 8:30 reservation and still had not eaten by 10pm. (This was a common issue with other guests, but not the fault of Leslie and Bob!) Food on resort is basic, not the best but really we didn't come for the food but the sun! We laid out on cabana's each day, you do have to get there early and put a book or shirt to save it. Wait staff was attentive, and we had drinks all day. Water was great, lots of activities and people on the beach. Vendors are kept away from guests laying out, and there were always plenty of security and hotel employees around. Only issue with our room was one toilet handle was broken and one shower had on/off hot water. Neither of these issues were cause enough to call maintenance, we just told them upon our exit. We did not get to ride in the limo, however a van was waiting for us at the airport upon arrival. We did have to talk to one employee about membership, however once we told her we weren't interested and she got her manager whom we told the same thing they left us alone. We had a great time, and for the price this is worth it! My group had my husband and two sisters, all had a great time! Would stay again.
First off, let me state that Leslie and Bob are great. Prior to even arriving to Punta Cana, they ensured that all reservations were made and everything was prepared for my friends and I. They respond promptly and are very open about all aspects pertaining to your trip. As for the resort, it is an exact replica of what you view online and MORE. The staff there were extremely genuine, respectful and accommodating. The beach, food and onsite entertainment were amazing. My friends and I have only been back for a few days and we are planning to return within the next couple of months :-). Thanks again to Leslie and Bob. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed so book your next trip with them! Vanessa
3BR/3BA luxury condo w/ full kitchen, large terrace & gorgeous view; Quote from this site! We had a gorgeous view of a great big wall on a 1st floor side suite overlooking another ugly resort and tiny little terrace with seating for 2 (their were 8 of us). Also, I have never seen such hard selling in my life! They would come find you on the beach or wherever you were going...even after you sat through their long sales presentation! Stocked fridge daily....for 4 A and 4C there were 2 beers and 4 sodas...hardly stocked and went without towels for 6 hours! Our final golden experience, by the way we left half way through our stay, we had a hundred dollar bill stolen from our room. We had turned away maid service that day due to being in the room. Upon our return from a dinner scheduled by the resort, the room was made up and the $100 gone! Left it there as it was night time and they had never cleaned at night before. Wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she thought it was a tip and really didn't want to get her in too much trouble, but the desk insisted she is not to touch any money unless handed to her directly. Allowed them to do their investigation (which meant going through all of our bags!) and 24 to 48 hours later we are told "she said she didn't take it! (Really...then it must be true) Also they insisted all monies should be locked in a safe....WE PAID for a safe lock on the first day but their weren't any available...they were supposed to contact us when there was one, as we had already paid for it! Another great experience is that my son left his flip flops on the beach. Went to lost and found and was told two days in a row they were not in there! Finally my housemate insisted on seeing the lost and found herself and sure enough...black Nike sandals size 6 boys right in there! That was it.....we transferred to the Hard Rock hotel. Oh and workers on the beach will ask for a tip to get you the "good chairs" and then not even be working the next day. Beach is beautiful!!! Chairs are Luxury! Don't be fooled into thinking you will get an ocean view or limousine service...they have only one. The sales people also offered to fly us in their private jet to Puerto Plata "their better resort" if we agreed to "buy in" at $89,000 and then we could have the ocean view rooms! Skip it and save yourselves unnecessary aggravation when you intend for a relaxing vacation!
Our family of four spent six nights in a two bedroom suite. We found the room to be very spacious, clean and the fridge was stocked with beer, water and soda. On the counter the maid gave us a large bottle of water daily to use for the coffee pot. We were also able to request alcohol, juice, soda, water as needed from VIP services. We did have to ask several times over a two day period for our fridge to be stocked with our daily beer, water and soda. We did notify VIP services of our concerns of restocking as requested and the issue was taken care of. We had a wonderful dinner at Basil's. The beach was well kept and secure. There were nightly shows at this resort which were fun for all. The staff was always willing to accommodate your needs whether it was a drink refill or help getting a chair. We were approached on our second day to get our welcome package which included an in depth conversation to try to get us to buy into a membership. We politely let them know that we were not interested in buying into a membership and were left alone the rest of our vacation. The weather was great at 86 degrees every day, it rained briefly at night. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. It was a pleasure to book with Leslie and Bob. They answered all of our questions promptly
First of all, kudos to Bob and Leslie. They were awesome about answering all of our questions before the trip (usually responding via email within minutes!!). The resort is nice and small - which was perfect for our family (3 kids - 13, 11,10). Staff incredibly friendly. Food was actually really good and varied for an all inclusive. Always felt safe. And always felt like a "VIP" - especially on the beach beds. Never had a problem getting a chair or bed (but usually used our room bath towels at beach). Beach is small but very clean, and the water is amazing. I think our favorite part of the resort is the size. We were seconds from the restaurant and beach - and the pool was maybe 6 feet from our patio. For some it might be small and quiet. For our family it was just right. While I'm not sure if we'll return to punta cana, I do know we will work with bob and Leslie again if we do! I don't normally write reviews, but they truly earned and deserve 5 stars
From the beginning of our vacation, service was excellent. We were picked up from the airport and welcomed with warmness and the utmost attention. Check-in process was quick and pain free. Then rooms were spacious and clean and requests for things that we needed were handled very fast. Within hours of us being there the VIP service personnel greeted us in our rooms giving us a full run down of how the resort operates and pertinent information. After a quick tour of the resort, we were left to our own desires. Every so often the VIP service would check on us and see if we needed something. Keep in mind that each day you have make dinner reservations at any of the 3 restaurants on the resorts all of which were delicious. An added bonus is that since it was my birthday, the staff was gracious enough to bring out 2 cakes and sing in celebration. Even setting up excursions was a breeze. We met with a guy named Julio who went through and booked on excursions that we'd soon enjoy. Nighttime entertainment was also great as well; one night there was even a fire show that the staff put on. During the day even just lying out on beach we were greeted by a server eager to get us anything we needed. The resort is very safe and secure, not only is there a gate in the entrance but security patrolling all day to make sure everything is ok. Overall the resort is a very nice intimate space where you can just relax and have a good time. Working with Bob and Leslie was certainly a pleasure. They made sure we had all of the information we needed and answered all of questions we had (even the silly ones...ha ha). We would definitely work with them in the future and look forward to doing so.
