We loved this property for two adults and three kids. Super easy access to parking, lodging, ski slopes, and restaurant. We’d definitely stay here again. Thank you, hosts!
Everything was clean, accurate to the pictures / listing, and the host had very clear check-in and check-out instructions. We had six people and slept very comfortably. The unit is just a 5 minute walk from the Kirkwood ski resort. I definitely recommend this if you're looking for a clean, convenient, and affordable unit for a ski trip.
Staying at the meadows was amazing! Location was perfect right between ski school for the kids and chairs 5 & 6. The apartment was very spacious and roomy for my family of 6. Set up with all the things we need. Met all of our expectations and more. The complex was very quiet and all the property staff we soooo friendly. We absolutely fell in love with Kirkwood and will definitely be coming back.
Easy access. There is a garage with inside entry to the building. Ski locker for storing gear. House had very comfortable beds- king/bunk in one room, queen plus two twins in another. Kitchen with all the basic appliances. Fireplaces plus wood. It ended up just being me and my two kids (12+14) and we had a lovely comfy time in this apartment.
The place is a bit run down and we weren't informed upfront that the hot tub was closed. But overall it was a great stay.
Aside from the COVID-related hiccups with check-in (a scare with being told by the property manager hours before our arrival that rentals were all being closed that day-- this was resolved but extremely stressful for a short period of time), we found our stay to be absolutely perfect. The property is walking distance to the lifts; however, walking was not necessary since there are on-going shuttles every few minutes. The mountain is intimate, gorgeous, varied and due to the pandemic, there were no lines. The staff at Kirkwood were incredibly kind, helpful and friendly. Immediately outside of the condo there was ample space for snow play! Toddlers, teens and adults alike were gleefully engaged in snowman-building, sledding, snowball fights and eating the snow. The condo itself while modest in size had tons of sleeping space, adequate space to stow snowy clothes, plenty of restroom / shower space, a huge selection of awesome board games. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and the condo simply felt like home. We were so grateful for this getaway and would absolutely come back next season! Thank you for sharing your home with us.
It was perfect
Excellent location for skiing at Kirkwood. The place is as advertised, easy to access and a walk to the slopes.
My sister and I planned our mom-son ski vacation at Kirkwood for us and our two teenage sons during President's Week. This condo was a perfect size for the four of us with plenty of room to spread out in the bedrooms. The updated kitchen and bathrooms were a big plus, and the garage for our car was a significant benefit as Kirkwood had so much snow. The hot tub, located right around the corner from our unit was a very nice amenity. While not ski-in, ski-out, the Meadows location is just a 5 min (for the boys) to 8 min (for my sister and me) walk to the chair lifts. You can also take the courtesy shuttle, but we were so close we found it faster to walk. We had incredible sunny weather most of the week, and the ski conditions were outstanding! The only disappointment was that with the double digit feet of snow that Kirkwood has received (which I'll take any day!), the first floor condo's windows and deck were totally covered with snow (up to the tops), and there was just a slight opening of daylight that came through to the windows, so the unit was fairly dark. It would have been good if someone could have shoveled the snow off the decks. But since we skied most of the day, we only missed about 3 hours of daylight.
Our family spent the weekend. Comfortable and a short walk to the Timber Creek lifts.
