The views. They were breathtaking. The apartment is cozy and cute. The heat did not work too well though and the spare comforter was not cleaned. The pillows were very flat and neck was stiff in the morning. The access code to enter the unit was incorrect - we were provided 10 digit access code but the key code only took 4 digits, the customer service had to be called and provide correct code.
Met all our requirements.
Loved the location in Sugar Mountain.
Very close to sugar mountain resort, nice little walk through a short path to the base of the ski resort. Pet friendly location.
Very tight parking. If other condos are occupied parking is a problem.
Perfect cozy 1 bedroom for parents and a toddler. Maintenance and house keeping need more attention. Bathroom door is broken at the bottom causing a loud sound that will wake entire house up in the middle of the night. Breakers to all but one of the heaters where turned off- house was freezing when we arrived. House was dirty-wouldn’t let our toddler sit in the round chair without a sheet over it….. Bedroom- dog hairs on the sheets and between the sheets….we didn’t use the sheets either….yuk…doesn’t look like fresh bedding was put on at all….yuk. Porch light doesn’t work….. this is just poor maintenance and house keeping. Other than the maintenance and housekeeping, the property would be perfect for our stay.
We loved having meals on the porch. We always miss our ultra comfortable bed, but this offered a relaxing place to spend a weekend.
Maintenance dropped by when we were not there to do a fire equipment inspection without proper warning. Heat did not shut off, had to turn on and off with breakers.
My wife abs I enjoyed a long weekend in the mountains with our Dog. The property was nice for us as a couple and had sufficient amenities. We enjoyed the convenience of attractions at sugar including the golf course and tennis courts. We also liked that all of our hikes, restaurants, and grocery stores are with 20 minutes. Grandfather vineyard and the blue ridge parkway are always perfect. The few drawbacks was the warmth of the unit and not being able to get some of the baseboards to cool as there wasn’t AC. A few mountain insects were noticed but gave our puppy some excitement.
Nice property layout.
The location of this condo is perfect for Sugar Mt. It is small but that is clearly stated in the bio. I would not do 4 adults but it was ok for my husband and two young children. It has all you need to cook if you stay in and does feel cozy with the fire. There are few things we didn't have. The biggest downside is they didn't have a plug in humidifier. I saw they had a dehumidifier for the summer but it so dry there you absolutely need one in the winter! My poor noes is still healing from the baseboard dry heat and I spent two nights with a wet face cloth on my face so I could sleep. When we arrived we were told we had two parking spots, we had no where. We squeezed in next to the garbage bins. We called Vacasa and they did nothing to fix it. Not sure if they mange the property upstairs but we found out it was them in our spot the day they left and moved their car. If we had had a larger SUV we would have had no where to park. We couldn't find any info on the property or the area when we got into the condo. On the second day we found a paper on top of the fridge with info on the TV and internet and a info mag on the town but nothing about info on the skiing or local attractions. The walls are thin so we had to ask the folks upstairs to please stop walking around at 10pm so we could sleep. The towels were big enough and clean but very scratchy. My husband ran out of hot water within 3 mins in the shower. And this was at 6am so not sure how the tank was empty. I did get one hot shower. We didn't have any sheets for the pull out bed. We called Vacasa, with little hope for delivery after the parking situation, and they did bring sheets. However they got it wrong three times and by the end of it we had one top, flat and pillow case for a twin bed, one blanket, two new kings pillows with one king pillow protective cover?? The pull out is a queen. So after delivery number three we just made due with what we had. Overall for what we paid for the night it was disappointing but we still had a wonderful trip. As I mentioned the location was great for skiing Sugar mt, walking distance which was great. And we were together as a family and thats what counts the most.
The property was nice and clean but recommend a better check between stays. The toaster and coffee machine do not work and the sink in the bathroom needs to be fixed. Also no light in the back patio but other than those small things the property location was great, comfortable and clean.
Stayed here for a family ski trip and were so pleased with this condo! We will definitely be renting it again next year!
