We lived the proximity to Vail and Beaver Creek. We liked having the underground garage.
Sweet little apartment, great views of the mountains, located in a nice little complex with walkable restaurants and shops. AMAZINGLY stocked kitchen. We couldn’t find the shuttle to Beaver Creek and the parking garage was difficult to locate, but overall loved our stay.
Very comfortable place with a great location to bus to Beaver Creek. Instructions for the skier bus given by owner and the city could be better. For instance, just because you took that in the morning doesn’t mean it will take you back. You have to take the red line from the landing.
Great place to stay for a family ski weekend!
Great condo for a ski weekend for 4 people. Beds were super comfortable. Loved that it was so close to shops and restaurants. There were no extra towels or toiletries in the unit though...
Love this place! the location is awesome for access to both BC and Vail. checkin process is super easy and love being so close to restaurants and grocery store.
We were 2 couples and one single and this place was great! It was very clean and easy to access.
Myself and four family members were fortunate enough to stay here for two nights after Christmas and ski/ board at Beaver Creek. While the price due to holiday time was high, we would stay here again. The property was as described, clean easy to park and access. It was a bit confusing as to the exact location, above a strip mall with front elevator access through the Cohabit Hotel. This location while a few miles from the slopes, offers affordable restaurants as well as a grocery store within walking distance. I know there is a shuttle but we did not take it as we had a non skier who dropped us off. We were happy to discover the mountain offers free garage parking after 3:00 so he was able to meet us for après ski easily.
Very nice and comfortable property for two moms and 2 kids ( dad stayed home). Absolutely everything you need is within walking distance. Property is quaint and quiet. We loved the fact that it was so close to so many different towns and villages. We would definitely stay here again.
Communication was easy with the property manager.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Very clean and excellent communication with the booking agent. We did have a hard time getting the ac to cool and did need to use all the fans and open the windows at night to cool it down. Other than the ac not cooling it was a great stay.
This property is located near other awesome little towns and very close to Beaver Creek. The supermarket and restaurants are around the corner. We loved this place!
This was a great condo. There’s a variety of restaurants, shops and a grocery store all within walking distance. Ski resort can be easily walked to. Unfortunately we arrived the night before the ski resorts shut down due to Covid-19. So we can’t say how that resort was. But others are also close enough to drive to. Condo was cleaned and very well stocked. I was surprised to find spices, condiments, etc. Our only complaint - and its really not much - is that the unit stayed warm. We never had to turn the heat on and actually contemplated turning on the a/c to cool it down. It stayed around 75 without anything on. You can open the balcony doors to cool it off. Sometimes you smell the food below cooking when the doors are open but it was not an unpleasant smell. The rental agent - Debbie Darough - was very responsive to any questions I sent. We would definitely consider renting here again!
The location of this property was amazing. The place was great as well. Has parking, washer and dryer, comfy beds...this was the perfect place to stay. The seating are is small but not a big deal unless you plan to stay inside a lot. Clean and comfortable with a fantastic location
The apartment was excellent in every way for our skiing holiday. The kitchen was well stocked with a good variety of condiments, the bedrooms were comfortable and having the beautiful winter sun shining in the living room was a bonus. The apartment is in a great location in Avon with easy access to the shuttle service to the slopes , the supermarket and many restaurants. We would highly recommend this apartment.
Not as advertised. Beware! The unit was extremely small for the 2 adults and 4 children we had staying. Additionally, there is a horrific stench that greets you upon entering the room. When we complained about this odor post check out, the property manager knew it was an issue and said, “we try very hard, as does the Mexican restaurant below to help mitigate the odors from the unit by having air fresheners in the unit.” The unit and building need to be updated, we had major drainage issues in the shower (prior guests hair all over the master shower), and the parking spot suits a compact car only, which is not disclosed until you sign the agreement. The location of the unit was convenient for skiing in Beaver Creek, but that's really the only positive. Overall, the property manager was somewhat helpful, but the unit itself was disgusting. We spent most of our time at our friends' cheaper and nicer rental a half mile away. We would not rent again.
Excellent stay. We enjoyed it tremendously
Could not have asked for a better place to stay. Great location. Clean. Comfortable.
The furnishings were very nice. The kitchen was well stocked. Good water pressure in the showers and big towels. Within walking distance to grocery store, drug store, restaurants, sporting good stores and a bar. On Thursday nights in the summer, you can walk over to the Beavercreek rodeo. The washer and dryer were also an added bonus.
This condo was great. Everything was clean and neat. It had all the things you would need to feel at home. The beds and linens were incredible. With the help of 2 fans in the unit, and the AC, we keep the whole unit very comfortable in 90 degree weather. We walked to everything in town, because of this unit's location. TV, WiFi, and internet worked perfect. The property manager was very helpful in getting a few details squared away, and she answered her phone every time I called. The building is nice and quite. I would recommend this condo very much.
This is our third year to rent this property. It is perfect for the four of us. Thank you, we will be back.
We were visiting family and it was nice that we had a place that was fully stocked with cookware. We played some of the games that were supplied and enjoyed our coffee on the balcony. The only down side was not being able to park in the parking garage due to the size of the parking spot.
Very well located for accessing bus routes and walking to dinner, or shopping in Avon. Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. I would stay there again.
Unit was nice and clean. Very close to Beaver Creek Ski Area. Great restaurants within the plaza area. Vail Ski area only 12 min away. My only suggestion to the owner is I would replace the small flat screen TVs in the bedrooms with 50” TVs. A great feature at this unit was the underground parking garage is heated. In addition the unit had plenty of hot water which may not seem like a big deal but IMO nothing worse than taking a cold shower after a day on the slopes and other units I have stayed in have run out. The kitchen seem to be stocked well. There is a grocery store extremely close which is really convenient.
Great condo. Clean, all the amenities necessary. Only one suggestion. A dresser in the second bedroom would have been nice for our folded clothes. The small dresser wasn’t adequate. Otherwise it’s a great place.
Very nice condo, well appointed with everything that is needed for a nice vacation stay. The location is great, grocery and liquor stores within 2 minutes and a couple good restaurants within the complex [Japanese & Mexican food] A couple of things to note: the living area is small, only has a love seat and chair and there is no dining table, but that was not missed by us. And beware if you intend to rent this condo, there is AC only in the main living area, not the bedrooms. We were there in a relatively hot August week and the bedrooms were very warm. There are fans in the closet and that helped. Overall, a very nice condo at a fair price in a beautiful area of Colorado!
We spent several days, primarily to attend a friend's wedding. The unit provided a nice home away from home. Conveniently located with dining downstairs, grocery store across the street, and with other choices within walking distance. Also nice indoor parking. Helped make our stay very pleasant.
This is a wonderful place to stay in Avon. It is on the second floor above retail and restaurants, including (as of March 2018), a Mexican, Sushi, and Pizza restaurant, along with a cute toy store and some other stores that we did not visit. The grocery store is within an easy walking distance. There is a heated garage on the first floor (underground) that provides easy access to the retail and the units. As others have commented, the parking space allotted to the unit is for compact cars and is pretty tight. When the weather wasn't bad or we needed to just run in and out, we used the retail parking lot. The unit itself was plenty big for our family. Others have commented that there is not a dining table, but the owners provide tray tables, which worked fine for us for the meals we prepared there. The bedrooms are spacious and we thought the beds were very comfortable. For skiing, there is a bus that picks up skiers about twenty yards from the elevator that connects the residential units to the retail area and it runs from 9am-5pm. Since we often needed to be there before or after those times, we ended up driving and parking in the Beaver Creek garage, which was pretty pricey. We missed not having a hot tub (although the master bath does have a jetted tub), but I did use the workout area down the hall. Being able to go downstairs (or down the elevator) to pick up or go to dinner was a nice convenience. I would recommend this unit if you do not feel like you must be directly on the mountain. I should also mention that the owners were very accommodating and helpful.
This place could be much nicer if little details were done better. For example, pictures were hung with the hangers showing at the top; blinds on the door with a do it yourself cut out for the door handle, things like that. It was as if someone who wasn't handy had taken care of all the details. The refrigerator door opened the WRONG WAY!! It was a little bitty narrow kitchen, and having the refrigerator door open the wrong way was a problem! The furniture was nice. Living space was postage stamp sized, but nice. There were no toiletries except soap in the bathrooms. Most VRBOs that we have stayed in had small bottles of shampoo, etc. And the wash cloths in the bathroom.... they couldn't have been any thinner. They were the kind I buy at Walmart ten for $3.00, and use for cleaning cloths.Great location, great workout area, quiet. Kitchen was well appointed. But there were too many little things wrong that added up for us. There is no way that any car but a compact size could get into the underground parking space. We wouldn't stay there again. HOWEVER, if you are just looking for a place to crash after a day of skiing, it would work. If they get decent wash cloths :-)
Overall, we enjoyed this condo very much! Super convenient location, great view of the ski mountain, and very comfortable beds. There is a strange noise that happens periodically that sounds mechanically, and the garage truck is very loud when it comes by a few times a week around 8am, but those were our only issues. I would highly recommend this condo!
We enjoyed our stay at this Chapel Square condo with suited the needs of our family of 5 well. The unit is well situated with bus stop for skiers across the parking lot and the City Market grocery store right across the street. If you care to eat in, the unit's kitchen is well stocked for cooking or there are a variety of nice restaurants within walking distance. During the afternoons/evenings, the condo became a little warm but the temp can be regulated using the main room's air conditioner. Parking in the garage was not possible since we had a Thule roof rack on top of our car but leaving the car in the retail lot out from was not a problem. Since we skied all day, the retail below the unit was not an issue. Nice unit.
We had a great visit to Avon, again. This condo was just as advertised. The unit was nicely stocked with everything that was needed. Very nice and comfortable. As others have stated, the living room would be a little tight for 4 or 6. But the location is perfect and most wouldn't be spending time sitting around the condo - they would be out enjoying the beautiful location and mountains. Only (minor) complaint is that the king-bed was too soft for our liking. The queen beds in the 2nd bedroom were much better (firmer).
We loved our stay even though it was just for a weekend to enjoy the Autumn colors. The condo had everything we wanted including being able to use the gas grill on the deck.
The condo was very clean and had nice amenities. Two couples shared the space and felt we had plenty of room. There are many shops and restaurants nearby that are easy to walk to. We stayed here to attend a wedding in Beaver Creek and were able to quickly Uber wherever we needed to go.
This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo has a cute outdoor balcony featuring the beautiful mountain views and the 2 bedrooms which also have these views feature comfortable beds and tv's. There is a well equipped kitchen and a great washer/dryer. Admitted the kitchen does not have a dining table but there is supplied numerous trays for eating off provided plus a huge stack of pop-up tables in the cupboard to dine off as well. There is a long kitchen bar bench with either 4 or 5 bar stools for those opting to eat up at the kitchen bench area . The ski free bus stop is right out the front of the building next to the City Market supermarket. Debbie the real estate agent who helps organise your stay is efficient and prompt in getting you set up so you are up the chair lift or gondola and down the slopes skiing in no time.
Clean, updated, well-stocked. Washer/dryer had detergent & dryer sheets, kitchen had extra paper towels, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, etc. Bedrooms are spacious, living room is a little snug. Good location. Skier shuttle is just across the parking lot. Only once did we notice the smell of the restaurants below. Property manager was super helpful & quick to respond. Would stay here again.
My family and I stayed at Chapel Square and were surprised at the size of the condo. Bigger bedrooms than we expected. Well stocked with tp, paper towel, linens, pillows etc. That always helps. We rent at a lot of places and know what we like. It was clean, comfortable and great location. Close to Stores, skiing, restaurants. The broker we worked with was most helpful with quick responses.
Very good property -- clean and very nice layout. Good property manager and easy to get in touch with
This 2 bedroom/2 bath condo met all of our needs. We visited Avon/Vail for my husband's 50th birthday celebration over the 4th of July holiday. We had three grown children along for the ride. We had plenty of space and enjoyed all the comforts of home. The unit came well equipped with Coffee Maker, Microwave, all necessary cooking utensils, pots and pans etc. The furnishings are perfect and have an authentic Colorado feel. Enjoyed the porch - it was small but liked having access to the outside to relax with a glass of wine. The unit is close to shopping and restaurants. Walking distance to all that Avon has to offer. Very close to the Beaver Creek transit and Vail bus transportation. Very clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to the fireworks at Nottingham. We had a GREAT dinner at The George in Vail - wanted to mention it because the food was fantastic - we had Filet and Crab Legs - and the price was GREAT! It was recommended by a local that told us about the value pricing and good food. It fit the bill and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great steak. Also, my daughter had a burger and said it was the best burger she has had in her life. You can't beat that. I recommend this property. The listing through VRBO is accurate - pictures are current and accommodations have all the conveniences it states.
If one does not want to pay the high prices to be on the mountain, this condo fits the bill. Somewhat small, but cozy and well equipted. Two adult couples would be fine. Only drawback was the condo was always warm Never had the heat on and had to keep the patio door of windows to cool off. Owner was responsive to all our needs. Would however stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Chapel Square. It was extremely well taken care of, clean, and exactly what we were looking for. The location was perfect - walking distance to our favorite places. Easy to use - the inside parking was very nice. We highly recommend it!
We were very happy with the Chapel Square condo. It was very clean and comfortable. Parking was convenient and the building was easy to access. Shops, some restaurants and the grocery store are an easy walk. The kitchen had a few staples which was nice. There is not a dining table, only a breakfast bar.
You are above a few restaurants. Unfortunately the exhaust smoke kept blowing back up against the unit so we cold not open the windows and sitting on the deck was limited. At night we were forced to turn on the AC to not smell like french fries. We couldn't beat the price, the unit was clean and there were plenty of places for 6 to sleep But if you want to keep the windows open, quiet and fresh air this is not the place.
We loved the condo location.
The property is awkward for a disabled person because there are no grab bars in the shower or tub and both toilets are really low. The location is great, the parking garage is excellent even if the spaces are narrow and the fireplace, balcony and appliances were good. There are 2 restaurants downstairs and the aromas can be quite strong depending on wind direction. If I travel ths way again, I would like to stay here again.
My family loved this condo location! We were in town for the 2015 FIS world championships. It was a 5 minute walk to the Rodeo lot and free shuttles up to Beaver Creek Village. Also very convenient to grocery store, urgent care (if you need it!) and restaurants in Avon. The condo was great, although it only has a kitchen bar for an eating place (no dining table). Highly recommend to groups of 4-5 adults or adults/kids. We will definitely be back!
We were shocked at how convenient the location is to so many things. Take the elevator down and walk less than 1 minute to restaurants and kids store with a little play area. Plus it was less than a 5 minute walk to anything else you may need grocery store, Starbucks and multiple ski stores. Then the condo it's self was wonderful. We had a great stay and look forward to using these accommodations again.
Nice condo, great kitchen and walking dustpan to City Market.
The purpose of my stay was to ski Beaver Creek and Vail. I have stayed in various locations within the Eagle-Vail, Avon and Edwards area for the past 12-years. This, by-far, has been the best location in terms of amenities, location and price for my budget-conscious $200/night (pseudo-practical) yearly get-away. Here’s my Score Card: LOCATION (5/5-stars) -5-min to BC ‘Bear’ parking lot and 15-min to Vail center parking. Approximate to I-70 exit, Within minutes to the Chapel Square Parking lot Good restaurants. There are several on street-level. No need to get in the car (so-much) to get a decent bite to eat. I recommend Red Mountain Grill. 5-min to Super Walmart, 5-min walk to Central Market 10-min walk to Beaver Liquors THE CONDO: (2.5 to 5-stars) 5/5: Underground ‘heated’ ‘assigned’ parking. Albeit the parking spots are quite tight! The complex had a problems with the garage door during my stay – however that didn’t impede access to parking. 3/5: only one elevator in the whole complex. However, the elevator was dependable. 5/5: door entry to #209 had a combination lock. I didn’t have to carry keys with me. 2.5/5. The heater works well – a bit too good. The condo can get very hot and the thermostat only goes to 60F. 60F feels like a dry 85F. Cracking the doors to the balcony alleviated the discomfort. 2/5: master bedroom bed. I have a finicky back – so I didn’t agree with the master bed. However the 2nd bedroom with two full-size beds worked just fine. Both bedrooms have small flat screen TVs with basic (I mean basic) cable. 5/5: The jetted tub was awesome! This is one of the top reasons why I chose 209. Twice a day before and after skiing. 5/5: Overall bathroom amenities, very standard. Nice towels. 5/5: Stacked washer-dryer closet. 4/5: Kitchen was standard – all the basic amenities are well furnished. 2.5/5: Kitchen dining was relegated to a kitchen counter/bar which separated the kitchen and living room. Seating is limited to 4, 36” high barstools. It would have been nice to have a standard table and chairs. 3.5/5: Living room furnishings are limited to (fairly new) love seats and a leather chair. This limited arrangement would be a bit tight with 4-adults staying. Condo Media: 2/5 for ‘very’ basic cable (no ESPN!) 35 TV. 5/5: Internet wi-fi, very important!!! 11bps upload and 4bps download. This worked well with all my devices, in particular I bought along my Apple TV It worked tremendously well with the wi-fi provide
My family of five recently rented this unit for a Spring Break ski trip. It was a nice unit with everything we needed. We would stay there again on future visits.
I would stay here again! It is the perfect size for 4 people. The place is in great shape, We loved the underground heated parking. The elevator is nice, we did not have to haul our bags up stairs.
