The cabin was not cleaned very well before we arrived and lots of things are falling apart in the house like the headboards, and cabinet doors. Stains everywhere on the carpets and walls. Also huge waterbugs/roaches inside the house…
The actual house could be so nice but …The carpets are very dirty and very very stained; there is an awful order is the king room, besides dirty, dusty; windows seals, baseboards, and carpets are extremely dirty/dusty. Toilets had water ring staines; bathtubes were dirty, refrigerator freezer had chocolate pop cycle melted (hope that’s what it was); 2 beds had stained sheets so washed all bedding and stains came out! Yuck! Samatha in office is very good. The carpets hadn’t been vacuumed when we arrived at 4:15pm so she came and vacuumed while I mopped and my husband cleaned the kitchen although the stove top in the kitchen and refrigerator (not freezer) was clean. The 1st morning, only one person was able to take a shower in the main bathroom b/c the tub was backed up. My husband went to the store before the office opened and purchased a septic tank friendly product to unstop drain, and upon office opening, Samantha came through with contacting a maintenance person to put “Drano” to help with drainage. Because of previous reviews (and after cleaning the house) we purchased and sprayed the house with a child/pet friendly roach and ant killer, even behind all beds then left for awhile to let settle. (Found 4 roaches dead in dinning room area and living area the next morning.) Behind beds the carpet was awful - filthy! Baseboards disgusting! The lamp shades are even filthy with dust. The blinds on the bedrooms (king and queen) are dirty and stained with something brown slashed on them. We also purchased Clorax wipes and wipped down the window seals in the living room and the inside of the front door and porch door as we had a 21 month old and didn’t want him touching anything or walking on the carpets. This carpet requires shoes on at all times!! . And we swept the screened in porch which had wet leaves all over the (screened in??? How???) floor and cobwebs everywhere. How could it be so dirty with tons of leaves, acorns, even small sticks. The porch is screened in. . We also scrubbed the patio chairs. They had green stuff in them. Truly, this is a dirty house that could be so nice. Not just that it needs updates…it needs to be clean for guest. My husband cleaned the railings on the porch downstairs and upstairs. So so sad . We enjoyed the area activities very much and as said, Samantha was accommodating but what a dirty house. Choose another place. Don’t be like us and think, “it can’t be this bad!” It us.
Had a wonderful time located near town, and a sports bar near within walking distance
