When it comes to ski retreats, it doesn't get much better than Soda Springs, especially when you get to call Soda Skihaus home! With a wonderful lofted layout and classic log cabin accents, you will have no trouble making yourself comfortable. The main floor will be perfect for entertaining and eating together after a full day of adventure, as the open layout of the full kitchen, dining room, and living area all seamlessly flow to one another under soaring ceilings. If you want to grab a bit of fresh air come summer, the spacious deck will be just the place to sip a morning coffee in bliss or cook up a few burgers on the gas grill with a cold beverage in hand. Not to mention the free WiFi, TV, and Xbox 360 will come in handy for keeping the kiddos entertained during downtime!

Homes in this area have slower WiFi which is good for basic web surfing but not good for video conferencing.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Perfect location for summer hiking/backpacking in the Soda Springs - lakes area. Lots of room, kitchen has everything you need for a vacation stay. Pets allowed (thank you!), with tile floors for sleeping and easy cleanup. Plenty of room to park. Only miss was the Security code/access pad was temperamental so it took many attempts to access the home to get back in after leaving.
I highly recommend NOT staying at any VACASA property. This was a total disaster. First of all, they have no local call center and communication is absolutely horrendous. Secondly, we tried to reschedule our stay because of a severe winter storm. They would not allow us, even though there was travel warnings. Travel warnings so bad that other places weren’t even allowed to book out there places anymore. They told us that there is nothing we can do. They then assured us that our place would be plowed and everything cleared before arrival. However, they said if the storm gets so bad that we are stuck inside. They could not help us shovel out and that getting out was all our responsibility. They even said if we get snowed in, we would have to pay extra nights at full price. Here comes the fun part. When we arrive, the driveway and path to door are completely covered with snow. We called. Of course they said they couldn’t help. Why would they. So we spent hours shoveling to get our car parked and our family into the house. When we entered, there was no working water and no instructions on how to turn on. Finally got a hold of someone to help with that. Everyday we spent time shoveling and hoping we would not get stuck. It was a nightmare and the lack of communication from VACASA was laughable.

The house location is great, house conditions are as described, however, when we arrived at 5PM, we found that there is no water in the house, we first spend sometimes to look for how to turn on the water. It end up we cannot find any notes or sign. Then we started to call to ask for help. After 1.5 hour call, finally got answer, however, just after I gave them my confirmation and phone number, the signal is off. Then I wait on the line again to waiting for help. We didn't got any water till almost 7PM. We are hungry and afraid to go to restroom due to no water in the house. It is bad to spend so much time to call for help. Familiar members all hungry waiting for water.
Our stay (2 adults/2 young kids) at the house was fantastic. House was very clean and as listed - no surprises. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!
Cozy, warm chalet within walking distance of Royal Gorge XC ski resort. The best winter resort experience we have had since Wildy closed.
Trouble with main door lock operation. It took 3 days to get someone to help us. I called Vacassa over 3 days; we could not get the front door lock to work; finally someone did respond. Feel like our phone calls to property manager were not handled properly.
This house was great for our quick trip out of the Bay Area. It was very clean and stocked with plenty of games. We enjoyed walking in the woods and all the quiet around us
This property was everything we needed and more! We were evacuated from our house due to a wildfire and this listing had everything you could ever need in the kitchen, plenty of towels, games and puzzles galore in a quiet neighborhood in the trees! Would definitely recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat!
