The house is a bit difficult to locate. Your GPS may direct you to a private drive that does not lead to the house. I recommend that you follow the hosts directions carefully. The house is in a beautiful quiet and secluded location. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Yellowstone.
The property is lovely but sorely lacking in upkeep. The upstairs toilet flushing mechanism broke and it is the only bathroom for the three bedrooms on the second floor. There were lots of mouse droppings on the shelves with the openly stored dishes and in the MBR where we found chewed blankets, etc. The only light in the foyer was broken. The glass panel on one side of the front door was shattered but in place which we thought was dangerous. There were no coffee mugs. Luckily we had our thermoses or we would have had no way of drinking coffee. The pans were all sticky. The house was dusty and the LR had piles of lint on the floor and pieces of other people’s clothing. The only hairdryer was nonfunctional. We notified Audrey about issues and yet nothing was done throughout our stay…no cleaning up the mouse droppings, no coffee mugs, no hairdryer. Audrey was very nice to talk with and did end up finally getting the owner to comp us one night. She manages from out of state so relies on others to take care of problems as they arise. We understand that things get lost and broken but there was no excuse for the unsanitary conditions being left for days after they were notified. We are four senior ladies that take a trip together every year and this was by far our worst VRBO experience in many years. The place could be so nice. It’s convenient to YNP and has plenty of space. Such a shame it is not being maintained properly. We were told the issues have since been addressed.
This cabin worked well for our family to get together and enjoy the amenities of the nearby Yellowstone park. We also found the nearby town of West Yellowstone to be very enjoyable and provided some some nice places to dine. The cabin worked out well for us and the owner was accessible and helpful. We didn't realize that someone was living in the garage part of the property. That was okay, but would have been more reassuring to know of that beforehand.
Comfortable stay with nice view.
Loved this property! It is a beautiful house and a beautiful location.
We stayed at this property while visiting Yellowstone. It was great for our 2 families - 4 adults and 4 kids under 8. Proximity to Yellowstone was nice and also far enough out of town to avoid the crowds of West Yellowstone. The quiet property was a welcome relief after crowded, busy days in the park. The property was clean and had everything we needed.
This is a nice home! The kitchen is huge and made to be used! There was plenty of room for my group of 7 people to spread out. My criticisms are this: 1. Most of the windows face due west which heats up that side of the house. I wish there had been curtains hanging upstairs to minimize the effect of the sun. The home was pretty warm when we arrived. 2. I wish the dishwasher worked or that we had been told that it did not work. The issue seemed to be that it would not stay closed or seal properly to run a cycle. 3. A person who I assume is the homeowner was staying at the home through the duration of our stay, and we were unaware of his presence until the last day. We all heard noises in the house in the evenings, and we began to joke around about a ghost being there with us. It was not until my husband saw a car in the garage and made a comment that the homeowner showed himself. It was kind of creepy to think that someone was with us the whole time and never told us he was there. My issue with it all is the lack of transparency and communication.
We loved our stay! Lots of room to spread out & a big table to play games. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed. A washer & TWO dryers was a brilliant addition. This home is close enough to Yellowstone to be convenient, but was separate from the crowds. Also, the playset in the back was great for our grandson.
Lazy Acres was very comfortable with plenty of room for the entire family. Beautiful home.
We loved this house, and it was close to town, which really made it nice. The big dining table was the center of every night's activities- the talking, laughing, and game playing never stopped till bed time. It was a great place to stay.
House was fantastic. We had one teenager that was anxious to leave the park everyday to get back to the pool table. Beautiful view from the deck. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen has everything you need. Laundry was great, including 2 dryers to speed up the process. Very convenient for the park without being in the middle of town. Right by the rodeo. Also great nooks for reading or getting time to yourself, lots of games available.
The property was a convenient launching point for a week long trip to Yellowstone. The house was roomy enough for 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 2-9). The kids loved the pool table and enjoyed watching a movie every night. The main downside of the property for me was the weak and unpredictable water pressure (we did stagger all water use). It really reinforced the cabin aspect of the property. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. After our stay, I had a question about an outstanding invoice, and the owners simply canceled it for me. Very grateful for that.
The property was just as described- plenty of room, kitchen was more than adequate for daily meal preparation. Very relaxed setting. Although slightly west of West Yellowstone, it was still convenient (10 minutes) to the stores in the town and easy access to Yellowstone NP.
Property appeared clean. Sleeping arrangements upstairs in the main room do have shades or blinds so those sleeping in the area are awakened only. Ice maker and ice water were not functional. Yard and play area outside. Pool and foosball table are nice additions. Clean- up procedures were unreasonable. We have never had to sweep the entire home. A few other requirements were unreasonable like transferring all trash to a receptacle down the street and emptying the dishwasher before we leave.
We had a quick getaway to Yellowstone for a few days. This house worked well for our family of 5.
Wonderful cabin style house just outside the hustle and bustle of west Yellowstone. A great jumping off point for exploring the park. Comfortable amenities and great communication with host. Highly recommended!
