We were looking for a place to relax and recharge before beginning our 2023 year. This cabin fit all of our needs. It has been thoughtfully updated and comes fully stocked with everything you would need. Cabin: great use of space and instructions on how to use the amenities like the hot tub and fireplace. There’s a cute book above the fireplace with details and things to do. I wish there had been photos of the cabin prior to updating or even some history on the cabin itself. There are neighbors but spaced out and behind trees so it really feels like you are out there alone. Cabin is stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry and dishwasher detergent. Basic spices and all kinds of pans/pots/dishes etc. we cooked breakfast daily plus dinner one night Plenty of blankets, towels, bedding and even body wash and shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Location: beautiful, remote yet within 10-15 minutes of so many shops and restaurants, Walmart, etc. downtown Blue Ridge is adorable and we spent a lot of time there eating and shopping. The Pink Pig BBQ is super close and really great food as well. Expedition Bigfoot was a fun place to learn more about Bigfoot and the history of the location. Mercier Orchards is a must do as well! We bought fresh apples to take home and you can sample the current in season varieties of apples they sell. Do not miss the fried pies and the apple cider donuts! Still dreaming about those donuts. So many hiking trails near by. We did a short hike to the double waterfall and it was gorgeous. We felt at home being from Texas. Everyone has the same amazing Southern charm like our home state. Overall this was an amazing trip and just what we were looking for. Quiet and remote yet close enough for all kinds of activities ranging from shopping, eating, exploring and more. If we had stayed longer we could’ve even gone to Tennessee or South Carolina for the day. Highly recommend this cabin.
The cabin was very cute and well stocked, however we did have quite a few issues. When we arrived at the cabin it was not very clean, there were debris on the counter tops and the floor. When we went out to the hot tub there was a disgusting brown ring around the hot tub where it looks like it has not been cleaned in a very long time and it smelled as if there were no chemicals used. We were so upset we could not use the hot tub. I sent pictures to our guest contact, but did not hear back from her until Monday morning. This was a very cute cabin, however we will not be staying again or recommending this to anyone else.
Overall my sister and I really loved this cabin. I did not receive an email before I arrived to the cabin for instructions for getting in. We had to call directly to get the code to get into the door (we also did not receive instructions on how to leave the cabin, so we took out the trash and started a load of laundry). There were complimentary snacks which were amazing, and the entire ambiance was amazing. The hot tub could have been closer to the cabin, but I think it was as close as it could be and still be level. Like previously mentioned, we weren’t sure how to leave the cabin, so on our last day I went ahead and removed the sheets on the bed, and we found Pringle’s crumbs (afforementioned complimentary snacks) in the bed! The rest of the home was clean. The dining room was very cold, but we didn’t use it anyway.
If you're looking for the rustic cabin feel but want all the amenities to make your stay comfortable, it doesn't get any better than this. A VERY charming place. The bedrooms were good-sized, the beds were comfortable, and the entire place was spotless. My spouse and I are from out of state and were looking for a vacation property during our stay. We scoured a large portion of the Blue Ridge/Cherry Log area and found the location of this cabin to be one of our favorites. In fact, we put an offer on a home right next to it. (Didn't get it, but we'll keep trying!) To the host: If you want to sell this place, you've got our contact info. If not, we'd love to hire you to decorate the cabin we end up purchasing. Great job! Thanks for sharing your place with us.
