Wake up to the mountains every day during your stay at this 1.5-acre North Carolina property! The furnished full wrap-around porch provides the perfect spot to take in the spectacular views as you sip your morning coffee. Take in the misty morning mountain views, enjoy the song of dozens of birds, listen to the peaceful sound of the river rushing by, and maybe even catch a glimpse of a deer in the backyard.
Inside the lodge, enjoy the grand open format kitchen/dining/living area with the same awesome mountain views from all levels. Warm up in front of the gas fireplace and watch your favorite shows on the flat-screen TVs. Quality furnishings and tasteful decor make your stay more than comfortable while the countless amenities will leave you feeling right at home.
Head down to the riverside area of the property and sit alongside the Hiwassee river. Relax around the firepit or swinging in the hammock. Take in the beauty of mountain living at its best.
Back up at the lodge, keep the conversation flowing as you head into the fully equipped kitchen to prepare a homemade meal! You'll find everything you need to make cooking easy, including pots and pans, stainless steel appliances, and a gas grill on the deck. Sit down and enjoy your meal in the screened-in porch area or at the oversized dining room table.

The cabin was clean and had everything you could need for a nice weekend getaway! The gas log fireplaces were very nice during this chilly weather. We spent hours playing ping pong and at least two of us took advantage of the hot tub. We would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed this cabin and location. It’s beautiful, clean and offers plenty of activity being on the river. Tony and Sandra were so courteous to check in on us during our stay and assist with any questions. Highly recommend your stay at Bruno’s lazy bear lodge!

The cabin upon arriving has a great first impression and the inside leaves you with an even greater appreciation for the property. Tony and Sandra have done an excellent job in making sure you have all the amenities you need for the stay. We have three teenagers that took over the bottom floor withe ping pong, darts, and two bedrooms big enough to sleep all three kids. The second floor or main floor has a very spacious kitchen that opens up to a dining area and living room. Huge vaulted ceilings that continue out onto the covered deck. The deck nor wrap around porch are more than enough to truly see the property and the river below. The third floor or main bedroom (even though the owners bedroom is on the second floor) is big enough and comfortable for the leaders of the pack. A few little quirks but nothing to stop a 5 star rating for the owners. If we're ever in the area again we would stay at the property with no hesitation. The Salling family want to thank Tony and Sandra for the opportunity to stay at their property!

Everything was great and clean except for the dishes. When I arrived I had to wash dishes befor using them because there was food stuck to plates and cups. Not cool

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Location is great and it’s very quiet and peaceful. We really loved the hot tub, the cozy screened porch, the outdoor couch and the outdoor fireplace. The wrap around deck was awesome as well. The cabin inside was really nice as well and we really appreciated all of the starter supplies everything from lots of DVDs and board games to spices and first aid kit in the kitchen. Our kids loved the ping pong table too! We had an issue with the A/C unit in the master, but the owners were very quick to reply and offer a quick solution. We wish the river was easily accessible to walk to, but the view of it was lovely and soothing to listen to. At night it was so dark we saw a spectacular lightning bug show in the yard from the back deck that was a great joy to observe. The house manual left by the owners made it easy to have all the info we needed without having to ask questions. Owners were incredibly helpful and easily accessible which was a huge plus. Highly recommend this property!

This cabin is really beautiful! It’s very clean, the hot tub is awesome, and we loved the river access! There’s also a hammock at the river that we enjoyed. We spent most of our trip just chilling out on the porch in front of the outdoor fireplace or in the hot tub. The hosts also are very easy to contact and check in to make sure their guests are happy. I know there’s comments about the road in the description, but it was nothing out of the ordinary for us. We didn’t spin our tires or anything like that. It’s a really beautiful home in a great location!

We’ve just returned from Bruno’s Lazy Bear Lodge and I wish we could go right back! The lodge has everything you could want or need for a long stay or a short weekend getaway. The view is breathtaking and the noise of the bubbling river below just relaxes the soul. The kitchen is fully equipped, even with ingredients for s’mores which we really enjoyed. The outdoor fire, bbq and hot tub all made for wonderful evenings. Tony and Sandra are perfect hosts from the detailed, simple and useful guide to their responsiveness. They’ve made staying here an absolute pleasure!The area is beautiful and Hayesville is very quaint. There is lots to do in the area and we will be back for more exploring.
