Lyndhurst, Virginia
A very comfortable two bedroom, Mountainwood gives plenty of room to spread out. The main room is nice and open, including the kitchen, eating area, and living room. The main bedroom has a king bed, the second has a queen and a full. There’s a comfortable couch and reclining love seat in the living room. Decks on the front and the back, a children's play area make this cabin a great choice for families with children.
Cabin Creekwood is a family-owned business providing relaxing getaways in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia since 1982. Cabin sizes vary, with individual units accommodating up to 10 people. Larger groups can rent two or more cabins that are in close proximity.
Each cabin is fully furnished, with full kitchen, bathroom(s), living room, bedroom(s), and private outdoor space. The cabins are all heated and air conditioned. In addition to the thermostatically-controlled heat, our fireplaces, gas logs, or wood-burning stoves provide a special ambiance.
Outdoor living space for each cabin includes a fire pit, a charcoal grill, and a picnic table. Most cabins also have a deck or patio with additional seating.
There is so much to do near-by. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, and Sherando Lake Recreational Area are all close by, providing the opportunity to explore the outdoors during the day, and relax in comfort at night.
Our area also abounds in history, whether your interest is the American Civil War, the frontier period, Shakespearean theatre, or the founding fathers. The towns of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Charlottesville are all just a short drive away.
After you stay at Cabin Creekwood once, you'll realize why we have so many guests who return year after year, some for as long as 20+ years in a row!
Very clean and well stocked for everything we needed. My friends and I enjoyed our stay with our dogs. Highly recommend! We will return!
The Cabin was very comfortable, clean. We had everything we needed for our overnight stay. Our frustration was with check in. Our navigation devices were not working in the area, but we were able to find the cabin at 896 Love road as listed on our email, but it was not the right cabin, and when we called the number to get directions, the man that answered was rude and insisted that we should be able to find the cabin on Creek Wood Drive with our navigation devices and then directed us to the wrong cabin and hung up on me. That type of behavior is unacceptable.
This cabin was very thoughtfully put together. Be prepared to leave bedroom doors open overnight to help let heat in from the living room, but everything was clean, cozy, and beautiful. I definitely am hoping for a repeat visit in the future!
We had a great stay overnight while exploring the Shenandoah/Blue ridge parkway area. The accommodations were very clean. Everything we could've needed was provided. It was especially awesome to have an open area in the livingroom/kitchen for us to play games and talk about our trails/sites visited that day. We especially loved the AT sign for people traveling on the Appalachian trail. So cute, cozy and accommodating. Thanks again!
Our stay was wonderful and all the information in the email was super helpful...once we found it! BEWARE - the address listed in the VRBO email is NOT the address of this cabin! (You NEED the email from the host!) Also, cell service is VERY unreliable, so be sure to print your information before heading there so you have everything you need! When we couldn't find information to check in (address and code to open door), we tried to contact the host, but didn't hear back until the following morning. Fortunately, we figured out the solution ourselves. The driveway WAS steep, but we didn't have any trouble. Super clean and all the linens looked new. Housekeeping does great work! This cottage is good and dark (great for sleeping in!), has very comfortable beds and pillows, and is super quiet (no squeaking floors or doors if anyone gets up at night!). Thanks for a great place for our little college roommate reunion! :-)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cabin Mountain Wood. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. Having the sheets, towels, toiletries, dish soap and paper towels provided was really helpful. The location was within a short drive to many hiking trails.
If your looking for a comfortable, inexpensive overnight stay this cabin is it. Its a basic no frills cabin but has nice touches and free streaming channels for TV entertainment. Quiet and good location.
Super cozy, clean and wonderful cabin. Everything you need without feeling cluttered, wood burning stove for an extra touch of rustic relaxation and Wi-Fi for keeping in touch. Love this place and can’t wait to stay again.
very nice
A nice property close to the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Access road and drive are steep and curvey.
