This property was very nice and very clean and made a great home-base for our weekend of outdoor adventures.
We stayed in the area for a family funeral. Could not have been more pleased with this rental. The owner thought of everything to make a guest’s stay comfortable. Highly recommend.
We had a great time taking day trips to the various small towns. The cabin was wonderful and the covered porch is so relaxing even when it’s raining.
The deck was definitely the highlight. It's second-floor only, connecting up front, but there's a gate along the side, so it was a wonderful place for humans to sit and read and let the three dogs smell the world and stare longingly out at it. You can see the neighbors, but it's not McMansion suburbia close. There's a fair amount of distance. Just don't expect total privacy. Otherwise, the short trail down to the small creek was alright. Not much of a hike, but good to let the dogs pee on something new. Lots of dead wood back there to collect and process for a bonfire if you bring the tools. Bring chairs, as only one of the plastic ones in the picture remained unbroken. Master bath was lovely. Beautiful big bright shower. Plush towels and nice toilet paper (hey, these things matter). Barely went downstairs at all, though it looked like a really fun space for kids. If I had any complaint, I'd say the upstairs living room could use some floor lamps. Watching TV after dark with the overheads on was a little harsh. We stole the ones from the bedroom downstairs for the second night. The smart TV was good to watch YouTube and even a live soccer game on Fox Sports. Just remember to clear your login when you leave. Oh, and stellar internet. Speed test showed 557 Mbps down and 367 Mbps up. Solid fiber. Minimal if any Verizon service available.
Quiet relaxing week. Blue ridge is a cool little town with a lot of outdoorsy stuff to do with the kids. And the cabin was the perfect distance away to have peace and quiet in the woods. Great. Thanks again
Nice place. Well kept.
Very accurate in the description. The cleanliness was excellent and the cabin has all what you need to fully cook, bake. The towels and linens were very clean and enough for everyone. The gas fire place was really nice and very warm. All the decor was accurate to the ambient. It has security cameras outside.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Cabin has everything our family needed. It was great being able to have our 2 little dogs with us on our vacay. There are two other cabins on either side of this one that can be seen from the back porch. They both had younger kids who were up early outside playing. Woke up my teenagers (which may not have been a bad thing)! The property is beautiful and everyone loved exploring.
Located in a quiet area, this cabin was great for the 6 of us, and our 2 yr old. It has a well-equipped kitchen and large family/dining area. Upstairs bedroom was very nice with a very comfortable bed. Nice bedroom downstairs that has its own bathroom. The 3rd bed is certainly large enough for 2 adults, but really better for kids, since it's in the game room and has to share the downstairs bathroom. 1/2 bath upstairs for all to use. Fireplace is great, really warms up the family room, but is a little tricky to light (refer to the manual that is kept with all the other manuals below the sink). Huge wooded lot with a firepit near the house, perfect for making smores or just warming up on a chilly night. There are a LOT of games and toys for kids to entertain themselves. The cabin itself is in a very quiet, but easily accessible, area. There are other cabins nearby, but far enough away that you still feel secluded. Dollar General about is 10 min away for basic items you might need, and Ingles is another 5 minutes further for all grocery needs. You are quite close to downtown Blue Ridge, which is a fun little town with lots of shops and restaurants. Emy, our host, was extremely responsive to any questions or needs we had. Overall, this is a really a very nice place for a family or couples gathering. Highly recommend it.
We loved our time in Blue Ridge at Emy’s place. Her home was clean with a beautiful back porch and outdoor space as described. We followed the written directions provided and had no trouble finding the house. Also very convenient proximity to downtown Blue Ridge and hiking trails!
