We had a wonderful time at this property. The house is really well appointed. Beautiful bathrooms, with a big shower and tub. The porches - screened and unscreened are lovely and you really feel off by yourself on the property. However, Dripping Springs is nearby and there are endless wineries, breweries, and restaurants to go to within 30-60 min drive. The property really isn’t big enough for rambling walks - you can explore pretty much everything in about 30 min, but Pedernales Falls State Park is just down the road with miles of hiking. It was just me and my husband and our dogs on this trip, but there is plenty of room to bring kids and they would have a great time playing in the forest. Fenced dog run was great for the fur kids. Highly recommend this property!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: View was exceptional and the outdoor screened in eating area was perfect! Kitchen had almost everything. Only one dish towel and no dishwasher tabs or sponge was frustrating. The master bath is definitely a bath only bathtub. Super cute style but the tub bends/creaks when standing in it. I’m petite with a small frame so there is no way my husband would shower in there. Plenty of towels in both bathrooms. The hall bath had a great shower. The sheets are white but the bedding is colored in the master and patterned in the guest so unless it’s meticulously inspected there isn’t a way to see if it’s perfectly clean. On arrival the floor looked clean, but it didn’t take long to see that it needed attention. The beds and sofas are off the floor so underneath them all were pretty dusty/dirty. The pet hair in the living room was a problem for me. It got all in our socks then transferred to the furniture. I have a crawling baby and a toddler so the floor was a big disappointment. Management was great and easy to get in touch with if I had a question. The location was exactly 30 from every single thing we had on our to see list. I know the area can be very dry for long periods of time but a designated grill area would be so nice. We would definitely stay again as long as we had a swiffer on hand.
The property was located in a nice scenic neighborhood close to many state parks, walking trails and river swimming places (20-30 min drive). House was very clean and spacious for a family of 5, with two very nice porches. Beds were uncomfortable though and the house lacked the basic supplies such as cooking oil and sugar (salt and pepper were the only food items available). We communicated with the management, however we were told that this is not part of the rental agreement and we should just buy them from the store (which we did). In addition, the laundry detergent and dish detergent were missing although renters are supposed to start a load of dishes and clothes before departing the property. We have asked the management to provide these supplies. Management was quick to respond to messages, however the issues took 2-3 days to be solved. All in all a beautiful place, however recommend management improves the house supplies readiness.
This house was wonderful! It was tucked away so you felt wonderfully relaxed and secluded while at the house, but was an also an easy (and beautiful!) drive to fun things to do (distilleries, wineries, restaurants, putt putt and more). The house was clean, nicely decorated, and felt very safe. The only small complaint we had is that the main couch, though lovely to look at, wasn’t the *most* comfortable for curling up to watch a movie in. That wouldn’t stop us from coming back though! We look forward to visiting again.
Ideal location allowed us to visit brother in San Antonio, visit LadyBird Wildflower Sanctuary in Austin, wander around Fredericksburg, hike 2 state parks, and road bicycle in Hill Country. House is nicely furnished and decorated, awesome porches, and a view to die for.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was very clean and roomy, great for the kids to have room to play. We loved the screened in area on the deck. It was great to enjoy in the evenings.
My husband, daughter and I enjoyed our stay. Great walking trails for our dogs. Cabin has everything you need for a great stay.
We really enjoyed the stay. House and property was as described. Very clean. Extremely comfortable beds. Our dogs had as much fun as we did!. Very close drive to surrounding attractions and nature.
We stayed five weeks to get out of the Minnesota winter, and had a lovely stay. Property had a very well appointed kitchen. Beautiful views. Very quiet. Comfortable bed in the master suite. We ended up buying and leaving a mattress pad in the other bedroom because we had an extended stay. The two twin beds are not comfortable, but the mattress pad helped a lot. Internet was overall very workable for remote Zoom calls, especially for the remoteness of the location. It would be nice to have towel bars in the bathrooms and maybe some hooks by the front door to put jackets/keys on, but overall this is a fantastic property, and we’d stay again. The little trail on the property was perfect for mid-day walks.
The house was beautiful and the porch was even better! I would definitely book this house again!
The overall experience was great, our adult kids came out to visit us because our son lives in Austin. Our adult daughter and her husband and son stayed with us while our other daughter stayed with our son and we all had a total blast. Highly recommended if you’re wanting to escape the daily rat race that the city life brings. Very hard to leave to come home.
We really enjoyed the privacy and quiet surroundings of this cottage. We had dinner outside on the screened in porch and watched sunsets from the cottage. It was 20 minutes from our daughter so it was a very convenient location for us. We enjoyed the drive through the hill country to get to the cottage. We liked watching the wild life in the area. We spotted deer, foxes, birds, raccoons, possums, and an armadillo! Such fun. We like to cook and wished there had been just a few more kitchen tools. Over all it was a wonderful stay and we would go back again.
From start to finish this was a wonderful place to live in while waiting for our new home. Set ting was lovely, trees, wildlife, beautiful sunsets. Screened in porch. Furnishings were lovely, beds comfortable , great kitchen-modern and clean. Totally recommend this to anyone for a weekend or extended stay, Turnkey personnel were efficient, responsive and friendly. Thank you.
Very peaceful and relaxing. Loved the dog run for my dogs and the walking trails. Enjoyed the wildlife and quiet.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cottage was amazing. Very secluded and no neighbors! Kitchen is well stocked. Kitchen knives were sharp. Beds were comfortable. Covered patio to enjoy drinks and sunset. We enjoyed our stay so much. The fenced dog yard was so perfect for our puppy too. We walked the trail in the property and spotted 2 deers. Pedenals Falls state park is only 20mins drive away. We bought day passes a month ahead of this trip and visited the park twice.
We very much enjoyed our stay here. Positives: Surrounded by wooded area, fun to explore, a good place to enjoy the outdoors Dog yard was great, good size, very glad to have a place to let our dog off leash Screened in patio was the best feature, we spent so much time out there! Areas for improvement: Not as much in the kitchen for preparing food as some places I’ve stayed. Most notably there were no knives other than butter knives. We made do. The bed in the master bedroom was very firm, which we did not find very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed it and I would stay here again.
