We liked the cabin. ( it did look brighter and bigger in the the website photos) better silverware would have been appreciated.. The weather was so lovely that we didnt use any heat in the evenings. Ed and Gail Seale
cozy and relaxing cabin. All good but wished the master bathroom was a little bigger. Enjoyed the walks to the river, and trail heads (1/2 to 3/4 miles) of the Amberian Loop and Government springs. Highly recommend both these nearby trails.
Highly recommend!!!
The place is very quaint and quiet. We enjoyed our stay!
This place has everything you could need and is close to Molly Butler’s where we had dinner each night. We enjoyed sitting by the fire each night too!
Clean, quiet cabin with everything we needed
We had a wonderful time at Morning Glory Cabin. Overall it was adequate. Nothing fancy, but everything we needed. Great TV and reception, lovely front porch. Lots of parking, quiet and a great location. We will definitely be coming back.
We enjoyed being able to walk to a trail location and walk down main street to have dinner. The cabin was peaceful and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. 🙂
Property was clean. Very organized and everything is labeled. Above sink was a cabinet with stuff past tenants have left behind (we added pancake syrup). It was a nice cozy weekend away with our boys.
Awesome
Renting the cabin was very simple anyone should be able to do this
I enjoyed the stay, there were no real issues.
Cabin is clean and cozy but one master bedroom are too small than other rooms. Kitchen has everything.. Enjoy snowy
Truly a wonderful rental. Everything listed was present, a fully stocked kitchen to make all our emails. The cabin was large enough for four adults to stay comfortably but cozy enough for us to gather and hang out. Lots of extra blankets and towels, and the fire place was wonderful to keep us warm. I can’t wait to stay here again!
Really nice and cozy cabin. So quiet, and being surrounded by trees made us feel we were in a completely lost in the Forrest. I will definitely be back another time.
We always enjoy staying in Greer and this visit was no different. We stayed in January, so it was very cold (-2 on one night). There was wood to build a fire, but no newspaper. If you intend to build a one, I would suggest bringing an old paper with you. We all slept comfortably and there were plenty of blankets. Though this is a pet-friendly cabin and it was clean in the main areas, it was disappointing to see that other guests were allowing their pets on the bed and there was pet hair in between the quilt and comforters. There were plenty of clean towels, but we always bring our own (because we're weird like that). This cabin is cute, clean and cozy, but keep in mind that it is on the smaller side. My husband and I, our 2 teens and one pre-teen were comfortable, but if we were planning a trip with other adults it would be a little too close in my opinion. I read another review saying this cabin is small for a 3 bedroom and there is not much bedroom space, and while that is an accurate statement, it's not a deal-breaker and we liked having the three queen beds. I would describe the property as great for families (or two couples) and we would stay again.
We had a great time...thanks.
Booking process and check-in was a breeze. Property and cabin was clean and full of necessities. Cabin was roomy with a variety of bed softness. My family, though, all like beds on the softer side so we had to draw straws to see who had to sleep on the stiffer bed...I lost! Loved the birds and wildlife...not so much the chainsaws! When they say quiet time is from 10pm to 6am you can on the buzzing start right at 6 am!
I'll do it again as soon as possible.
Great quiet location. Missing garbage can outside, dishwasher soap, and rock in driveway next to house ( Causes a lot of dirt to be tracked into vehicles and house).
Location excellent and nice cabin, but very small living space for 3 bedroom 2 bath. When we arrived due to Covid19 scare we brought our own cleaning supplies. Both bathrooms were not cleaned. There was a big wad of hair in the small shower which is very small and hard to rinse in and the other tub was dirty. Cleaned towels and linens were still in dryer which we folded and put at end of dining table. We could not find soap for dishwasher ,but was no big deal as we hand washed those we used and could have used more trash bags as we could not find another to leave one in the trash can when we left. Otherwise cabin was well equipped and nice quiet location with easy access to all of Greer.
Great cabin for our family! Loved the fireplace, playing games and enjoying the peace and quiet! Enjoyed Sunrise Ski Resort and dinner at Molly Butlers! Hope to get back in summer months!
We recently stayed in Sargent's Cabin and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was perfect for us and we were pleasantly surprised at the nicely stocked kitchen. We made meals all 4 days we were there and found everything we needed. Everything was very clean and comfortable. It was an easy walk to hiking trails. It was very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be back and will recommend them in the future.
Jay, This cabin was comfortable, we had room for everyone and Greer is just always so beautiful. Thank you for being so responsive along the way, it's much appreciated. Hopefully we followed all the directions and did everything we were supposed to have done on our check out. We got in some really nice family quality time. Thank you, The Kahsin's
We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. This cabin was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed.
It's a very good place to spend a camping vacation out of hectic work . We were 3 couple loved the place.
Stayed here two years ago and liked the cottage and location - quiet but close to the center of Greer. The cottage has all the mod cons and was very clean. One small niggle, we wanted to watch movies on Netflix in the evenings but the DVD player needed an Ethernet cable connection to the DSL modem to access the Internet (not provided). It was nice to be able to take long hikes after the heat in Tucson. Fishing was poor but not unexpected during July/August and with the reservoirs still so low.
The cabin is like new condition, comfortable, in a nice setting in the woods. Located close to the Greer lakes and Molly Butler lodge. We enjoyed our stay very much and are looking to returning soon.
Staying among the Greer pines in Sargent's cabin was absolutely fabulous. It is truly a relaxing adventure. It is far enough in the pines to make you feel on your own, yet close enough to town to easily walk. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings watching the wildlife. Everything we needed for the kitchen was supplied. We made waffles, bake muffins, brewed coffee, and even made a smoothie in the blender. The only drawbacks were lack of space in the bedrooms to move around, the shortage of storage space for the food brought up, and no hair dryer. These drawbacks would not keep us from staying in the cabin again though.
Our stay at Sargent's cabin was so perfect! We were so pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to the cabin. The outside had a picnic table, wooden swing and a horseshoe pit. The inside of the cabin was very clean and organized. We were pleased with how well stocked the cabin was. It had pretty much anything you would need in the kitchen, all linen and towels to last us the full 4 days we were there and a washer and dryer. The cabin was very close to 3 large lakes and a stream that had a hiking trail. We will definitely stay at a Sargent cabin the next trip we take to Greer.
This was a much needed vacation for our family! The property was big enough for the kids to romp around in the snow and the cabin was clean and comfortable. The washer/dryer was a nice amenity as we could wash all of our wet and muddy clothes form the day's adventures. Early morning breakfasts, mid-day hot coco on a snowy day, and warm fires at night was just what we were seeking. The staff and check-in was a breeze as well. We will definitely visit again!
Jay was very kind. We booked last minute and he made sure we were getting the right cabin for the size of our party. He called us to make sure we were enjoying our stay and to see if we had any questions about Greer or the cabin. The cabin had a binder filled with hiking trail locations, restaurants, and great places to fish and recommendations of what bait and lures to use. We loved coming back from activities to the wood burning stove.
My husband, our pup Tigger & I enjoyed this clean & quiet cabin .. Lovely setting .. We loved seeing the squirrels & birds every morning .. Also sitting on the front deck breathing in the fresh air .. Hopefully we can return soon ..
This was our third stay at this cabin. We (and our two Shih Tzus) thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks away from the Phoenix heat! We could take long morning walks usually down to the river, and another walk before or after dinner, breathing in the fresh mountain air. The cabin has all you could want and is extremely clean and organized. We were happy to meet the owner, Jay, this time we were at the cabin. It is apparent that he is very conscientious about his properties. We hope to return next summer. Thank you, Jay!
We stayed 4 nights in August, 2016 at Sargents Cabin in Greer. We very much enjoyed it & found it to be very clean & comfortable. Having the 3 bedrooms was a definite plus for our family. Sitting outside on the porch was very relaxing. Jay--the owner, was easy to work with. The cabin is nestled just off the main road so it was perfect for being secluded yet still being close to things. The beauty of the area can not be described until you actually see it. We would definitely like to return.
This was the first time that my family and I have stayed at this cabin. We found it clean, cozy and stocked with everything that we needed. Although the cabin is near all that Greer has to offer as a small village, we found ourselves enjoying privacy and much appreciated quiet. , it was very comforting to return to the cabin following the many activities in the area, fishing, hiking, the zip line at Sunrise Ski Park, and some sites of historical significance. It was also great to watch all the animals that are in the area. Coffee on the front porch in the early morning while it was quiet and cool was the best! Well maybe second to glass of wine in the evenings while it was quiet and cool!!. Some very pleasant memories were made at this cabin. We will be back!
This is my families favorite place to get away, relax, do a little fishing and just make some good memories. We've stayed here 4 times now and can't wait to come back! It's always clean, cozy and affordable.
My family has stayed here many times. It's clean. It has the space and all the comforts of home. The large lot gives you a measure of privacy. You can stargaze through the living room skylight at night and cozy up to the fireplace if it's cold. It is close to fishing and hiking, but what makes it great is that you can WALK to the wildflowers, the shops, the coffee, and the ice cream. I've saved the best for last. The large, elevated, covered front porch! We always spend most of our time there. We have our morning coffee there. We eat our meals there, usually cooked on the provided gas grill. My wife does stitchery crafts there. My daughter does photography there. I paint watercolors there. Besides an occasional deer, we've seen squirrels, chipmunks, hummingbirds, Stellar Jays, Clark's Nutcrackers, nuthatches, Robins, Mountain Doves, and flickers from that porch. We always plan on going back to this cabin and try to book it as early as we can each visit.
Loved the all the improvements that owner has been making including new windows, remodeled kitchen, & always comfortable beds. You can tell the pride of ownership by always clean and updated. The cabin has all you need including washer & dryer and wifi and what is nice is having a land line in case of emergencies and receiving land line calls when cell phone service doesn't work. Owners property management is very accommodating and professional. Loved being in the pines and enjoying privacy and serenity.
We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at this cabin. The front porch and yard are great! There was plenty of room to play badminton and bocce. This cabin is in a quiet area away from the main street yet it is within close walking distance to the Little Colorado River and all the restaurants in town.
My husband & children stayed in this cabin and loved it. It was very clean, great amenities, and we were able to relax on the porch and watch the deer. We were within walking distance to the river where my kids could fish and many hiking trails right from the yard. The cabin was fully stocked with fresh linens, pots, pans, and all we had to do was bring our food. It was such a fun time for our family!!! The staff was very nice, helpful and it was such an easy process making this reservation. We will definitely be staying at this cabin for many more years to come...
My family spent 5 days in this very comfortable cabin and loved it! It had all the amenities you'd need. Very clean, plenty of room, nice porch to sit out and enjoy the evening, horseshoe, fire pit and plenty of room for the kids to run and play. We were within walking distance to fishing, cafe, and ice cream shops. The owners were great to work with and very responsive I'd highly recommend it to anyone, I know we will be back again.
This was our first time at Greer and this cabin provided us with everything we could ever want, especially the kitchen. It was well equipped with all the needed utensils and every basic provision. It was beyond our expectation so we proudly appreciate the owner of the cabin. His customer service was very much appreciable. The cleanliness of the cabin was pleasing to the eye. If we get the chance to go to Greer again, we would definitely choose this same cabin for our stay. We highly recommend this cabin to everyone.
My family and I stayed in this cabin on our annual trip to Greer and we had an excellent time! The cabin is located in the heart of main Greer, and is such a close walk to hiking trails, cafe's, shops and even the river! The owner was really great to work with and takes awesome care of his cabins - it was stocked with everything we needed- pots, pans, utensils, etc. The beds were comfy, the kitchen appliances were great, and the deck was such a nice sitting spot to watch the deer after a long day of hiking and fishing. The kids also enjoyed the horseshoes and outdoor games that were there to play as well - we will be back next year!
Quiet, well stocked cabin, very comfortable, lovely setting
I have stayed at this cabin several times including this past rodeo weekend, The owner keeps this and all his cabins clean and decorated beautifully, It and all the surroundings are just amazing. Close to the Little Colorado river and close to the town but you feel like your a hundred miles from nowhere. I would highly recommend this cabin to all. I just can't say enough about the owners and how much they care about your stay as I have met them. I have been all over Arizona and this is the place I would own if I could. A piece of Heaven
