What a great time, location was great, not far from anything we wanted to do during the days we stayed there! Hot tub was an absolute plus for our October stay! Great view as well! Very quiet and cozy!
The property was beautiful! It’s perfectly situated so that we were able to enjoy the sunrise and sunset from the yard and pier. The bedding was super comfortable and the welcome wine was a nice touch. We rented both cabins and had our own space while our adult kids were in their own cabin. We enjoyed the shared outdoor space with the fire pit. We would stay again!
I had a great time here with my family!! The location is perfect - close to Traverse City, 5 mins from Hop Lot Beer Garden, wineries, etc. while still feeling very secluded. We loved the well-appointed firepit/grill area, hot tub, hammock, and of course the private dock with kayaks and paddleboards! It is a tad rustic - no dishwasher, small bathrooms - but that was fine for us. Very well taken care of, and clean comfy beds.
Great views! Bottled water is a must. Comfortable beds.
I stayed here with my family, 7 of us total (8 if you count my pug, ha!). We really enjoyed using the fire pit, hot tub, paddle boards and kayaks! And I LOVED the outdoor shower (around back from the 2 bdrm cabin)-- was so happy to see it has HOT WATER and takes zero time to heat up! The cabins are classic Northern Michigan, with cool vintage touches yet modern amenities like AC (window, in each bedroom and the living/dining areas), plenty of beach towels and lots of personal touches (that are sadly becoming more and more rare in these short-term rentals, such lots of extra blankets in the closets, unique books, local reading material, a nice welcome card and coupons for wine tasting at a nearby vineyard. It's about 10-20 min to downtown TC and 5-10 min to Sutton's Bay Main Street, depending on traffic. There are tons of local wineries within bike riding distance and a place to rent bikes right in Sutton's Bay to hop on the Leelenau Bike Trail which is a 17 mile ride into downtown TC. We were also delighted to discover the Cheese Store right across the street from the main road you turn off of to get to Lee Point. Owner was super responsive whenever we had a question about something on the property. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the booking! My family is already talking about how they would love to come back. :)
Great location and beautiful views. It was very peaceful as well!
The Lee Point cabins were in a great location, sheltered from the cool breezes of the bay, and within close proximity to many wineries and restaurants. The hot tub and hammock were a hit!
We loved the location and close proximity to local restaurants, bike trails and water activities. My kids especially enjoyed the hot tub and sitting around the fire pit. We would definitely come again!
We loved the nearly 180 degree view of the bay (blue water, blue sky), and having access to the water via the dock and provided paddle boards. Having the two cabins worked great for our family (plus two dogs), especially because of the shared stone patio in between them for coming together, eating at the big table, and sitting around the fire. The hot tub and view from the hot tub were especially enjoyed. From the outside, the cabins look like typical classic rustic north woods cabins. Inside, they're up to date and extremely clean and pleasant. Bright and welcoming. From time to time there are random passing cars on the road in front of the cabins (35 mph limit), and, on one day of our visit, after the wind direction changed overnight, a bit of sound could be heard from the two-lane highway far in the distance to the west, but neither was a problem and are mentioned only to say that the cabins aren't deep in the wilderness. In fact, the location was a positive for its relative closeness to the town of Suttons Bay, its restaurants, and places like the Leo Creek Preserve, which we discovered by accident and liked a lot. We'd stay in the cabins again for sure.
We had a girls weekend getaway and enjoyed the lake view and cabins. There was plenty of room for us all, beds were comfy, cabins were very very clean. We enjoyed bon fire, games and Hot tubbing. close to shopping in Suttons Bay and wine country in Leelanau pennicula. Great communication with host.
This property is great for relaxing and enjoying the area. Beautiful views from the hot tub and patio as well as from inside. Although it was hard to leave the patio, we went for a 20 mile bike ride to get breakfast in lake leelanau, a great way to see the apple and grape orchards. The property has all the comforts of home. The neighbors are friendly.
It was nice to find a place that was so secluded in such a popular vacation area yet still so close to the action. We did go out for most of our meals & ordered pizza too. Listening to the lake while sleeping was my favorite part. Anywhere you sit outside you have a front row seat to the lake! The communication with our hosts was easy and prompt. Our teenagers were entertained with the paddleboards, kayaks, hammock and hot tub! We were close enough to spend the morning at sleeping bear dunes and get back for lunch/shopping at Sutton Bay and then some afternoon watertime in the lake followed by an evening in Traverse City - then hot tub under the stars...not sure it could be more perfect for a summer weekend getaway!
My husband and I took six of our grandkids to stay (ages 7-16). It was absolutely perfect between the hot tub, the two cabins and access to the water and paddle boards/ kayaks it was awesome.
Gorgeous, easy, relaxing, and little added bonuses like a welcoming gift and hand written card was a sweet touch.
you have two cabins to yourself both cleaned and decorated beautifully no one there to bother you or neighbors to stare at you we had a wonderful time with the family and pets
