Tetonia, Idaho
Horseshoe Cabin is a spacious 4-bedroom mountain retreat surrounded by 6 acres of privacy and gorgeous aspen trees. Located a few miles north of Driggs, Idaho and only a few hundred yards from the Wyoming state line, this is your home base for all-season outdoor adventure. Powder skiing at Grand Targhee, mountain biking in the Big Hole Mountains, and world-famous fly-fishing are only a short drive away. Jackson Hole is 45 minutes over the pass and West Yellowstone is about 90 minutes north. Driggs was named, "the best small town in America" by Men's Journal in 2001. We think it's still true today!
The spacious cabin accommodates up to seven (7) guests and is perfect for family vacations, two couples, groups of friends, artist/writer retreats, or anyone else looking to get away from it all. Bird watching, hiking, kayaking, skiing, fishing, and fresh mountain air are all at your command.
Horseshoe Cabin features high ceilings, a modern wood-burning stove, four (4) comfortable bedrooms, two (2) bathrooms, and excellent views of the Big Hole Mountains. Sip your coffee on the back deck and keep an eye out for moose, fox, eagles, and other local wildlife.
Horseshoe Cabin's bright and airy great room features a fully stocked kitchen, dining room that seats seven (7), and a comfortable living room with 9-foot leather sofa. The upstairs Bedroom #1 sleeps two adults in a queen four-poster bed. Bedroom #2 is downstairs and has a queen bed with forest views and direct access to the back deck. Bedroom #3 is also downstairs with matching log style twin beds – perfect for kids or teenagers. Bedroom #4 is in the open loft and features a single day bed and a dedicated work space with desk and printer. Horseshoe Cabin is the ideal place to build a fire, whip up a home-cooked meal, and relax after a big day exploring the mountains or floating the Teton River.
Very nice accommodations near the Tetons! It was wonderful to come home after a long day hiking to relax in this lovely VRBO location. Everything we needed was provided. The water (from drinking to hot water for showers) was great….adding that cause I am kind of picky about water.
Thank you for a lovely stay at your home. We enjoyed the quiet location and watching the horses in the field. The place was clean and we found everything we needed while we were there. Thanks again!
Well-equipped cabin nestled in the pines. Note that there is no view in the summer as was detailed in the description.
Nice old school cabin, about an hour from Jackson. Secluded, pretty.
The cabin was located outside of the town of Driggs, ID. The cabin is beautiful and was great for our family of 4. The cabin is well stocked with anything you will need. The town of Driggs has some great restaurants, a brewery and distillery that we enjoyed. We made a trip to Yellowstone National Park (approx. 1 1/2 hours away) and made a few trips to Jackson (approx 45 minutes away). There are a number of hiking trails accessible from the west side of the Teton range that we explored. Ginger was great in her communication and made herself available if we encountered any issues. We had none but I am sure her responses would have been quick.
Great space for 2 couples. Great location for hiking, fishing & biking.
Location is scenic and secluded with lovely sunsets. Room descriptions in listing are not correct. Bedroom 1 is a queen (upstairs), Bedroom 2 is a queen (upstairs--in quotes because it is a loft open to main level not really a room), Bedroom 3 has two twins (main level), Bedroom4/Office has one twin (main level).
Beautiful home perfectly situated in the trees and remarkable privacy. Convenient and close to everything. We will definitely return.
Excellent vacation cabin. Very well furnished. Hosts were open, friendly and responsive. Highly recommend rental of this cabin from Ginger.
We had a great family mtn bike trip at Grand Targhee and loved coming home to this sweet cabin in the aspens. Ginger and Jim were great hosts and full of good recommendations.
Very easy check in and check out.
It was even more beautiful of a location than the pictures can capture. It was such a sweet time together as a family. This home had such warmth and was a perfect hub for hitting trails, enjoying a few of the towns in the area, and being immersed in the Tetons. Thank you for opening your home to us - so many great memories were made! We hope to get back again one day.
This is in a very nice secluded spot. The cabin is homey, and has everything you need. The owner was very responsive and answered all questions prior and during our stay. Will not hesitate to stay here again, when in the area. Thank you for such a wonderful place.
Secluded cabin close to town with a great grocery store and amenities. An hour from Jackson and two hours from Yellowstone made for a great location. Comfortable home with everything my family needed.
