Booked this spur of the moment and so glad we did, this property did not disappoint!! Beautiful scenery and very clean updated cabin. Rustic but with all the modern amenities. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We would stay here again for sure!!!!
The cabin looks just like the pictures! Normally that’s not the case from other locations we’ve stayed at. It was beautiful. The hosts Debbie and Al were great and very quick to answer questions. Well deserved 5 star rating.
We loved our stay here. We enjoyed watching the eagles soar over us everyday, fishing, listening to the birds, watching the deer and enjoying the surrounding areas and lakes. The cabin is so cute inside and out. Beautifully updated, decorated and clean. We can’t wait to come back!!!
We enjoyed our honeymoon at Gone Fish Inn!! Debbie was wonderful and very easy to communicate with. The lake is stunning in the morning , the cabin was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed the pontoon for a day and had a peaceful day there but also loved it locations when we did our day trips too. We will be back for sure xoxo
Our family of 4 and our dog stayed at Gone Fish Inn at the end of August. We rented the pontoon boat from Lost Lake Properties and had a great time fishing and swimming on Lost Lake. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Al and Debbie were very quick to respond to any questions we had. We will be back to stay at Gone Fish Inn again next year!
We had stayed there before and loved it, we were excited to get another chance. the house is everything you could want. Debbie and Al are great people.
Easter weekend getaway was wonderful, even with 2+ ft of snow on the ground. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you need and more. Beautiful view of the lake and wildlife. Will definitely come back. Thank you Al & Debbie.
More than pleased
This was the perfect stay for our snowmobile trip. Right on the trail and close enough to town to conveniently get supplies. Clean and tidy, great hosts as well!
We've been staying on Lost Lake in Vilas county since I was a child. We absolutely love the small town of St. Germain and all the quaint shops, restaurants and lakes! When the cabin we usually stay in was unavailable... We took a chance on Gone Fish Inn--And boy are we glad we did! The newly remodeled cabin was clean and cozy, well appointed and equipped with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed many hours of fishing, had a bonfire every evening, enjoyed chatting with Al and Debbie, and relished the serenity of the Northwoods. We will DEFINITELY be back!!
We absolutely fell in love with this cabin and property during our fall stay. The trees were beautiful, easy access to the lake, great view from the cabin, and lots to do in the surrounding towns. We loved that this was dog friendly and our pup had lots of fun! Cabin is perfectly clean, updated, and cozy for spending time together. We can’t wait to come back! Al and Deb were amazing hosts. Great communication, friendly and helpful!
The cabin was remodeled made for a pleasant stay everything that was needed was there owners thought of everything to make stay a true vacation
Nice updated cabin with pier the family enjoyed for fishing. The kitchen is well stocked and the cabin has several nice touches like a closet full of games and blankets in the ottoman. The TV and WiFi worked well for evening and rainy day. The last 2 days of our trip were very disappointing as the owner's family's nearby property was running chainsaws from from sunup to sundown. They ended up taking down the powerlines and the cabin ran on generator for a while. It was still irritating to go on vacation and get away from it all to have the nonstop racket. There are other odd inconveniences with this rental: you have to bring you own bath towels, you can't simply run the dishwasher as you leave. We did not have a very positive post checkout experience with the owner.
It is so clear the love and attention that the owners have put towards this cabin to make it enjoyable for renters. The updates made our stay so enjoyable. The cabin is situated on a great part of the lake for sandy shores swimming as well as good fishing close by was idea for a family vacation.
A wonderful location to relax and enjoy the north woods.
We stayed for a second trip in 2 months. Clean, updated, great location for snowmobiling. We will stay again.
The place is nicely updated and has everything you need. The home is well taken care of and they’ve thought of all the little extras - such as lots of board and card games. It was clean and the location was great. We saw lots of wildlife and it’s right on a snowmobile trail. Debbie was wonderful to deal with and very kind.
This property had everything we needed and then some. Our group of 6 went dog sledding in Phelps and rented this property. It’s exactly as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the location on the lake and walking around this beautiful scenic area. Comfortable beds, plenty of kitchen supplies plus a closet full of games to entertain all ages. Host’s Al and Debbie were very accommodating and responded quickly with all questions we had. Highly recommend this property. It won’t disappoint!
