ACCESSIBILITY CONSIDERATIONS
Please note...VERY IMPORTANT - TO CONSIDER WHEN MAKING YOUR LODGING SELECTION DECISION. The LOG CABIN has 22 steps to descend from the parking area to the Cabin (about 90 feet). If anyone on your guest list, including pets, has orthopedic, cardiovascular or any other mobility restrictive physical or emotional health conditions that may impede their ability to comfortably and/or safely negotiate the 22 steps descending to the Cabin, or returning to the parking area by climbing the 22 steps to the parking area from the Cabin you may want to explore other lodging options. The loft; (second bedroom).."The Loft".. is accessed by a steep, yet sloping ladder, that has 3 & 1/2 inch treads with anti slipping commercial type gripping surface. If anyone in your party is mobility challenged, or is a special needs child or adult, or for any reason would be physically or emotionally reluctant to comfortably and/or safely access the loft sleeping area due to the above described abnormal accessibility configuration you might want to explore staying at another of our 5 Evergreen Colorado VRBO listed Vacation
Cabins and Cottages. 2 of which are drive right up to the front door.
Height Consideration; if anyone on your guest list is taller than 5’11 please note that the ceiling in the dining area is just 6 foot. The rest of the cabin has very adequate 7 foot+ ceiling height. If this may be a problem for taller guests you may want to explore staying at one of our other 4 VRBO Listed Evergreen Colorado Wilderness Location cabins and Cottages.
If you are looking for a peaceful escape into the mountain pines, this traditional cabin is the place for you. Host Michael is friendly and helpful. The rustic location is quiet and off the beaten path. The cabin has cozy, low ceiling, a full kitchen, and a gas fireplace.
Extremely quiet cabin for great rest. A winding road up takes little time, but if you are looking for calm, you will find it here.
not at all what we expected. the walk from the road to the residence was very, very steep. the ladder to the loft was not in the pictures shown on line, the oven door could not be opened all the way because of the ladder. the walk from the residence to the road was very steep and the railing was not fully secure. lack of privacy will using the bathroom was a really big issue. A stall door for a bathroom door is not acceptable!!!
Gives a great separation from people, as described.
We had an amazing experience with our stay! The location is wonderful - easy to access and remote enough to feel “off the grid”. Micheal is wonderful and a gracious host. We loved seeing all the wildlife and having peace and quiet. The kids loved exploring and making a wood teepee in the forest. Great times were had by all! The shower had amazing water pressure and the drinking water was tasty! Highly recommend for those seeking a getaway in the beautiful Evergeeen area.
Nestled in the pines and aspen, this cabin was everything we had hoped for! Clean and cozy, with full kitchen and grill. The location is beautiful, and within 20 minutes of great hiking. We were lucky enough to see deer, a fox, and a moose with her calf! We are already talking about when we can come back!
Great cabin in the woods, very peaceful and cozy.
This stay was amazing and a beautiful little property with a rustic feel. We really enjoyed our quick stop and wish we had more time . The only surprise was the trek up to the cabin, and that is not a bad thing, it’s beautiful at the top !
We had such an amazing stay !! We were here for a show at red rocks amphitheater. The cabin was perfect for our needs and Michael was the best host !!
This is such a pretty & cozy cabin for a nice get-a-way. Hubby was just remarking when we returned home how quiet it was there. Our puppy had a wonderful time and I expect some adjustments to normal life after her nap.
We enjoyed our stay at the Cabin outside of Evergreen. The host was responsive and friendly. We had all the amenities needed and the time away from the city was it what we needed.
I stayed here instead and explored Alderfer/Three Sisters, and O’Fallon parks, beautiful scenery and wildlife. Went to a concert at Red Rocks. This was a much better experience than going into Denver. Michael was very attentive to any questions.
