Loved the cabin - very comfortable, such interesting architectural details, fantastic screened porch; quite private. I loved the moss, plantings, stone walkway; plenty of parking space. Yes we could hear the highway but traffic was minimal at night, also means quick access to area travels. So close to the lake, only a quick walk to be on the lake itself. There are multiple rec areas on the lake within a short drive. Captain Marks pontoon lake tour was educational and a lot of fun
Very very enjoyable. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. We will use it again when we come back. Shelley, and Eric
The cottage was beautiful inside and out. Like something out of a fairytale. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and the marina across the street. We were close to Cashiers, Highlands and Sapphire Valley. I very much appreciated the owner letting me know how to access the marina for walks with our dogs and refreshing swimming in the lake. Great restaurants nearby, especially Happ's Place with great food and live music. Great trip all in all.
As advertised with many very original and tasteful ideas reflecting much thought went into such a small space, but adequate for two. The traffic noise was unbearable, particularly when on the veranda. Even in mid August the veranda needed heat elements. The king size bed should be queen - had to climb over, not around. The kitchen could do with a gas oven, a kettle (preferably electric), a cheese grater, a steamer insert - to steam veggies. The first three stairs could use a banister - for old folks and dimmer switches would be nice. The location was great with access to the park but lacked viewing of the lovely lake from inside the cabin - may be one day a crows nest could be added?
Truly enjoyed all the tiny details of this cabin that made it feel welcoming and easy to stay. Would highly recommend as the host is very welcoming and fantastic at communicating details prior to arrival.
Great location to explore the surrounding areas of Cashiers, Highlands and Lake Toxaway. Cabin was very comfortable for the 2 of us along with our 2 dogs. The only disadvantage is that you have to cross Hwy 107 to get to the private lakeside park. The road is only 2 lanes but the traffic is fast and at times noisy.
Super clean and charming! Perfect porch and wonderful view of Lake Glenville! Wish I could have stayed longer. Will for sure book again next summer!
The cabin was just darling with too many added architectural details to list. Every inch of space was ingeniously used. All the equipment in the kitchen anyone could need. Hosts were nice enough to leave most spices we could use. Clean, very nicely decorated and the tree branch railings were great. The only disappointment for us was probably our fault. I thought from one of the pictures we could see Lake Glenville from somewhere besides standing at the bedroom window. Also, while sitting on the screened porch the noise from the busy road below marred an otherwise very peaceful visit. Would definitely come back.
Cute, well appointed cabin, had everything we needed. Sheets to cover furniture for dogs and dog bowls provided were a nice touch. The king bed was very comfortable, though challenging to get in and out of. We spent a lot of time on the beautiful screened porch, enjoying the cool weather. You have to cross a busy highway to get to lake, no real place to walk around with dogs. The bathroom was definitely not equipped for tall people. I am 6 ft and my husband is 6'3, shower head was very short and we had to crouch down to wash hair. These were minor inconveniences and we really enjoyed our stay.
We loved our stay. The home is well equipped, extremely clean. Loved sitting on the screened-in porch
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the cabin and would absolutely return in the future. The cabin is comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. We traveled with our dogs and were delighted to see that they even provided a water bowl for them. The space is well organized and decorated in a beautiful way. We really enjoyed our time spent on the porch and the bed was super comfortable!
Great little place, everything you need for a great time. Even dog bowls for our furry friend. Great communication with the owners. Felt like I was in an enchanted cabin in the woods.
The area is stunningly beautiful and the view of the lake was gorgeous. We were cozy and comfortable. Everything about this place is relaxing and pleasant.
Nice little trip to Highlands and Cashiers…one of our favorite areas.
Cozy, well-furnished cabin with nice views of the lake and mountains. Short drive into Cashiers for restaurants. Great screen porch to enjoy some relaxing time.
Beautiful, immaculate and cozy two story cabin surrounded by woods and gorgeous terraced landscaping, along with views of Lake Glenville and a relaxing babbling stream just off the screened back porch. My husband and I spent a couple of nights here enjoying the peace and solitude, as well as the comfy amenities that were generously provided by this outstanding host. You're certain to have everything you need at this adorable little retreat and I highly recommend this property as a romantic getaway for a couple, or a fun girlfriends weekend for 3. With lots of unique and upscale shopping in nearby Cashiers, along with the lake activities and numerous outdoor adventures with beautiful scenery, there is no limit to how to spend your time at this location - and such a comfortable, peaceful place to come back to at the end of the day. Excellent price for everything that's provided!
We enjoyed our stay. Loved sitting on the porch, sunsets on the lake and exploring the Cashiers/Glenville area. Hiked to some awesome waterfalls. Great, convenient location.
We had a great time. Cabin was as described and Susanne was exceptional host.
Great cabin with all of the accomidations a couple would need. Had all the tools to make two full dinners and breakfasts in the kitchen. With the owner close by, should any issues arise, they can addressed quickly. We had a miscommunication on the arrival day so the cabin hadn't been cleaned when we arrived, and this is the part that rated 5 stars, a text and 3 minutes later cleaning started. Stuff happens but the way things were handled is what impressed. The access to the lake-side park was nice as we were able to relax on the swing and enjoy the views.
Loved the area and was a layed back vacation for my wife and I. We took picnic's to parks and walked the water falls every day then went back to Lazy Moss Cabin for nice dinner. The cabin is really well stocked and very cozy for two people. We enjoyed the outside screened in patio is very nice and pretty view, but since you are near the main road you can hear road noise if your outside. Suzanne was great host and we would recommend her beautiful cabin
Beautiful all the way around. Perfect for a getaway with your better half. Very relaxing with all the amenities of home plus some. Took my fur babies and they loved it too.
