Perfect urban “camping” experience in a beautiful neighborhood in a wonderful city. You will love the cabin and Madison ... unless you’re a dyspeptic troll, of course.
When staying here I felt like I was at home and didn't want to leave when my stay was up. The wood cabin esque and smell of the wood when walking into the front door was amazing. I highly recommend and would stay here again.
The cabin was perfect - every amenity that could be wished for was already there. Very clean and well-equipped. Would stay there again without question!
Loved the neighborhood, the wildlife, and the log cabin.
We loved our weekend at the cabin. Everything was above and beyond our expectations. It is close enough to town and also close to lakes and a nice trail to explore with our pup. Woke up to a friendly deer in the woods checking us out. We hope to come back again next summer. Thank you Jennifer for being a great host!
Jennifer was very accommodating.no issues nice little cabin
Very nice quiet place
Needed a little getaway for my wife’s bday and the future arrival of our third child. This place did the trick. It got us out of town but well within reach of what Madison has to offer. Would book again!
Jennifer made our check in SO easy! The place was perfect for our mini getaway during Xmas break! The cabin was so clean and had everything we could possibly need! My 11 year old daughter LOVED the loft space and the location is right by a forest and offered a cute trail for us to walk our dog! The cabin is close to downtown, but feels like you're far away in the mountains! Thank you Jennifer - we plan to come back!
The City Cabin is a fantastic hidden gem right on Madison's north side. It provides a cozy and comfortable place to settle in for a night or a longer stay. All of the amenities, personal touches and decorations, and friendly and helpful property managers made my stay absolutely perfect. I would recommend this fabulous cabin for anyone who is looking to have their own space, especially if you love nature and feeling completely tucked away in a beautiful wooded setting. Do yourself a favor and enjoy City Cabin; I know I plan to the next time I am in Madison.
Such a charming and comfortable cabin in a neighborhood and surroundings that are serene and peaceful. Deer, a turkey family... all passed through and a nature preserve/hike right around the corner/out the back door. It was so close to family and friends and all that downtown Madison had to offer... Capitol, museums, state street, swans and eagle viewing on lake mendota...5+
Great place . Excellent location, 10 minutes from downtown Madison. Highly recommend.
The property was great and a fun respite. It is close to a great park and trail system that we enjoyed using and it is a quick drive into the heart of Madison. It had a lot of charm and we would definitely stay there again!
The cabin is a hidden gem in the urban setting of Madison. It is a wonderfully appointed cabin with lots of well thought out details. The owners are terriffic to interact with and do everything they can to make a great stay. I would absolutely reccomend the cabin for a stay !
We had so much fun enjoying this Amish built cabin, in a quiet location on Madison’s north side. Most unique experience!
What a great cabin! All of the big city amenities and then home to a cabin. So clean and private! We loved it and will be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in Madison. You can’t beat it.
Stayed here during Ironman race in Madison. Pretty close to downtown (10 min car ride)... Perfect retreat for my girlfriend and I. Host very nice!
We had a wonderful stay at such a nicely equipped and decorated cabin. Jennifer has done a great job with the place and she went out of her way to make our stay perfect! I certainly recommend this to anyone visiting Madison.
This is a great property with an awesome owner. Would recommend to anyone who wants the convenience of the city with a country feel. Very quiet and clean. Thanks for your hospitality, Jennifer!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely and will be returning soon! I cannot recommend it enough. I thought there was no way it could possibly be as cute as the pictures make it seem, but if anything, the pictures undersell it. There's just enough of every type of modern comfort to make you feel like you're staying someplace luxurious, but dropped in the middle of the woods (even though you're only 10 minutes from downtown Madison.) Our host was excellent at communicating, and made sure all of our needs were met. I also want to mention that we stayed on what might very well be the hottest weekend of the year, and the AC had no trouble keeping us cool.
Wonderful little cabin tucked back into a woodsy neighborhood right next to a wooded city park. Easy checkin and check out, owners were nice people, the cabin is really unique and comfortable. Will definitely try and stay here again next time we are in town. Thank you for a great stay!
The cabin is very comfortable, centrally located, and a terrific getaway from Chicago. We appreciated the hospitality, and our dog loved the neighborhood. We would definitely stay again if we’re in Madison.
Excellent location for nearly any activity going on in Madison. Very unique accommodation with all amenities for a visit to the city.
Easy 5 star review! Jennifer and family were incredibly accommodating and we couldn’t have had a better stay. Location to downtown was a quick drive away and great access to running trails 1 mile down the road. Even a small loop right in the back yard!? Are we in the city? Cabin in the city is awesome.
What a lovely little hideaway in the city!
Cute woody place! Perfect!
This was a cute little cabin and great for a romantic getaway...
Luckily we had rented the City-Cabin for our snowy April weekend. Staring out at the spring forsythia blooming in yards covered in snow, while we were snug in the cabin made us shake our heads at Wisconsin weather. The cabin is spacious and clean. 2 tvs made everyone happy, plus all the utensils and appliances available if cooking was on the agenda. The shower was hot and the towels were soft. Absolutely met all our needs!
Very nice and quaint. The cabin was very authentic. Not far from downtown.
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was comfy and cozy and was close to lots of activities around Madison.
We wanted a quiet getaway from our 3 little children for our anniversary and we got it! The cabin is so cute! The shower was amazing, and the loft was a great place to read and sleep! Can’t wait to come back!
The Christmas tree and decorations were a lovely addition. Thanks again.
Located in a secluded and quiet place, the cabin was very well equipped with everything we could want. There's a grocery down the street if you need it. It was nice to just hunker down for a quiet weekend while it snowed outside. I would certainly do this again. Thanks.
Stellar craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Quiet location but close-in to Madison’s east side. A branch of the Willy St. Food Coop and other stores and restaurants are a short drive away. Jennifer was quite helpful, with flexibility around early check-in time since the cabin was ready (and the option for late check-out too). Everything you might need for a cozy get-away (but bring your own hair dryer if you’ll need one). We look forward to staying here again! Thanks, Jennifer!
I rented this cabin for my wedding night and to have my bridesmaids get ready. It worked out great! The place was immaculate and had a cozy cabin feel. I just loved all the decor too. Who knew there was a place like this in Madison?! I would definitely rent it again in the future!
Fabulous, well designed space, quality furnishings.
The cabin is certainly charming and well equipped. Convenient to a Good Will, great for anything you may have forgotten, a fresh market coop for wine and grocery shopping, deli for brats, dry cleaners and more! Several farmer's markets in June and easy drive to downtown Madison campus. Our property manager introduced herself on arrival day and a welcoming amenity basket of goodies in the kitchen. Jennifer and her husband were on repairs or on call and very helpful. Hangers in the cabin were missing, but the cleaners helped us out with recycle hangers, left for next guests :). Caution mosquitoes are large and hungry. Bring good repellent!!!!Overall a great stay!!!!!!!!
We enjoyed the decor in the cabin, it appeared that they had taken quite a bit of care when selecting it! We did think it would be a bit more private than it was, but it was still better than a hotel room! The shower is pretty darn neat too!
So very clean & well cared for. We were last minute guests for one night because our schedule changed. Jennifer made it work. So so much better than checking into an overused hotel.
So Happy we found this place. Would recommend it a hundred times. We had a nice and relaxing visit. Hope to be back real soon.
Loved our stay at the City Cabin! Close to Madison and the activities at the square but yet not part of the crowd and congestion. All the comforts of home. Jennifer was great with providing any info we wanted about the area. Very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
We loved staying in the cabin. Perfect distance to the city but gives you a feeling of seclusion. Awesome inside and setup. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the accommodations!
What a fantastic find! The attention to detail in this cabin is incredible as well as the cleanliness and sense of calm the decor creates. A wonderful respite from city life while still in the city! Very close to the fabulous Madison trails as well as city life. A booking you will not regret!
There is nothing about this cabin in the city that we would change. It was unique, fun and very comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer and highly recommend to anyone considering this rental.
Impeccably maintained. Quiet yet close to any place you need to go to in the Madison area. Felt like I was in a cabin in the woods yet every modern convenience. Beautifully decorated. A treasure.
This cabin is located very close to the airport and is a great base for any adventure in Madison or beyond.
Very unique cabin home. Easy access to all Madison has to offer.
We've stayed is several different properties owned by this family. They just keep getting better. The craftsmanship and details in this cabin are almost unbelievable!!! There's always an unexpected surprise in a Pulley Property. This one is the bathroom sink and shower. You'll see what I mean, trust me. The cleanliness, modern comforts and prompt communication of the owners makes it easy to write a glowing review. Don't think twice, you need to try this cabin for yourself. AMAZING!
this cozy cabin was the place where we had our best time on a short vacation. Loved it.
Great place. Really made our stay in Madison enjoyable. Very clean and well kept up. We will not hesitate to book again if we are in Madison.
Terrific little cabin, perfect for a getaway.
I am at a loss for words to describe how kind and considerate Jennifer and her family have been while staying in their cabin over the holidays. Beyond what I could have have hoped for. Thank you again
The cabin was a perfect stay for a football weekend. It was clean and nicely decorated. It was nice to have a kitchen and a comfortable living room unlike most hotel rooms.
The cabin is beautifully done and very comfortable. Its nice that you are right in the city, yet don't feel like it. Nice area where you feel safe. Cabin has everything you would need. The fire pit outside is a nice touch. If you are coming to the city but still want your own space, and enjoy cabins and fires, its perfect. I enjoyed it.
The cabin is impeccably decorated and gives the feeling of being far away from a city. It was very clean and well taken care of. This would be a great place to stay for a long trip or a weekend get away.
Lovely, restful, private cabin. Very clean, organized and well appointed. A feeling of seclusion within the city, yet just minutes to many attractions.
The cabin in the city is a clean, quiet, quaint cabin tastefully decorated with antiques and rustic decor. It is nestled up in the woods on the end of a private road. Very convenient location just minutes from downtown Madison and easy access to head out of town to the numerous county parks and hiking trails. If you have a dog don't forget to check out Prairie Moraine County park south of Fitchburg, very nice off leash dog park.
Easy to book, easy to find, all around a great experience.
Beautiful city cabin - the craftsmanship of the cabin and furniture was amazing very accommodating and comfortable. Thanks to Jennifer and Jeff for everything - would definitely like to return Bob and Cathy
My boyfriend and I rented the city cabin for a weekend. The cabin is in the middle of a residential area with families and feels very safe. The cabin has many things you need: coffee maker, nice kitchen, a window AC unit, open space in the living room (a inflatable mattress would fit easily if needed), washer/dryer, great shower with 3 shower heads! You can tell a craftsman built this awesome place! They also left us some goodies in the kitchen and were very sweet to us when we stayed. Our only disappointment was a VERY firm bed. We're into softer beds so this was less than ideal for us. But if you're into a firm bed then you'll like it. Easy 15 min drive to downtown. We recommend paddle boarding on Lake Vilas where the lake is smaller and you'll have less troubles with the wind. We also took a drive down by State Street and enjoyed walking/shopping for an afternoon. Lastly we went to a Sunday night FREE show of Mad City Water Skiiers in Law Park - VERY cool, and did I mention it was free!? Madison has a lot to offer for not a lot of money so spend the extra money on this VRBO- the rest of your trip won't be pricey.
We enjoyed our stay at City Cabin-Madison. It fit our need perfectly.
We had a great stay in the log cabin. It was much more comfortable than staying in a hotel. Lots of space, nice new bed, and a well-equipped kitchen and bath. The snacks were a nice touch. The area is a bit out of the way, but there is shopping nearby and we were able to get downtown in just a few minutes. Overall, I highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing stay.
The cabin is lovely. It is on a wooded private road with several other houses, but still pretty close to all the fun of Madison. It is beautifully furnished with comfy couches, wifi, cable TV, and modern conveniences, while also having a really cool rustic-chic vibe. The bathroom is awesome, especially the shower. I loved all the wooden slabs that were made into tables and countertops. The full kitchen has cooking implements, a dishwasher, a full sized fridge, there's a washer & dryer in the bedroom, and everything is super clean. Meanwhile, the host is just a lovely person, so welcoming and kind. Thank you so much, Jennifer! We had a great weekend!
We needed a place to stay in Madison and on a whim decided to contact this VRBO before making a reservation at a hotel. The owner got right back to us and we couldn't have been happier. The small cottage is charming with a mix of rustic and modern touches. It is newly built, very clean, quiet, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, plus a few unexpected and appreciated extras: coffee/filters, tea, a bag of microwave popcorn, cereal bars, chocolates, etc. and toiletries in the bathroom. There is also a washer/dryer and everything needed to cook meals, which would be nice for a longer stay. The cottage is located in a residential neighborhood, on the edge of the owners property, but is far enough from the house that there was a feeling of privacy. The owner is very friendly and even stopped by to offer us some snacks and wine because we were one of her first reservations. It was less expensive than the hotel we planned to stay at and offered so much more, we would definitely stay here again!
