Sun, sand, lake, pine trees, fish and loons - a perfect combination for a fabulous getaway with family and friends!
Cedar Shores on Serpent is a classic up-north cabin located on beautiful Serpent Lake between Crosby and Deerwood, MN.
Come and experience the area and lake that our family gets away to every chance we can get! When we started coming to Serpent Lake we knew it was special – it’s a place where the pace of life slows and memories grow!
At Cedar Shores on Serpent you’ll delight in 200+ ft of prime sandy lakeshore with zero depth entry for swimming. Spectacular sunrise and sunset views to begin and end your relaxing days in a peaceful bay on Serpent Lake. This is a perfect lake for fishing, waterskiing, wake boarding, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and all water based activities. There is plenty of room at the private dock to tie up your speed boat, fishing boat or pontoon. When you're ready for a change of pace, the cabin is within biking distance to the Cuyuna Mountain Bike Trail Head so take a ride and afterwards challenge your family or friends to a game of Ping-Pong or Bean Bag Toss back at the cabin!
Cedar Shores on Serpent is a fully-furnished 3 bedroom + loft, 2 bathroom, up-north lake cabin with classic charm, gas fireplace, eat-in kitchen, and plenty of hang out space. The kitchen includes cooking and dining ware, four-burner stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. A natural gas grill is also available for use. Guests can use the 2 car attached garage to get away from the elements. The cabin is within a mile of main street Crosby that includes a grocery store, liquor store, shopping, restaurants & a brewery.
This was a great location for me and a few girlfriends to have a girls weekend, as there were plenty of beds throughout the cabin and 2 private bedrooms for those who wanted a more quiet space to rest. It's a beautiful view of the lake and a canoe on site! We spent a lot of time around the bonfire and just had to pick up our own firewood. One surprise we had was that 2 people did find mouse droppings in their beds and we had to go out to get toilet paper right away because we ran out and there was not any extra in the home. There was plenty of dishes for us all to use and cook with during our stay.
Cabin is as advertised. Great lake. Great communication from owners. Cabin is closer to a busy road than what we first thought, so there is some road noise, but proximity to Crosby is great. Would definitely go back.
The cabin worked well for two families totaling 8 people. Need new cooking utensils. Close to the Cuyuna trails.
Really enjoyed our experience. Tons of beds and a really nice property.
Was a great place to stay. Looking forward to going back next year!
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Cedar Shores. We were very impressed with how many things there are to do. The hosts provided many extras like the Ping-Pong table, canoe, and paddle board that we put to good use. Proximity to the mountain bike trails was also a plus. The cabin itself has been updated to include many modern amenities, while still maintaining a rustic feel. Everything was clean and worked well. I also appreciated the newer dock that protected our boat rental and provided a good platform for swimming and fishing. Everyone caught fish on Serpent Lake, even the little ones! I highly recommend this property. One of the best cabin experiences we have had.
The location is beautiful. It is conveniently located between Crosby and Deerwood, MN. The lake is very clear, wonderful for swimming and boating. The dock was perfect for our smaller fishing boats. There is a public boat landing only 1/4 mile away. The property lacks a suitable place to clean fish so we purchased a piece of shelving to accommodate the task. We had a family group of 13 in the cabin. The kitchen area was quite small for such a group, otherwise there was enough space for us. Several of the beds were pretty soft. There was always plenty of hot water. There was only one large trash can for all of the garbage, which for the size of our group was inadequate for a 5-day stay. Our fish locator showed an abundance of fish, but catching them proved difficult. Perhaps the unsettled weather the prior week was to blame. The local bait shops were very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions.
The lake front cabin was the perfect getaway for the weekend. Inside was clean and neatly decorated that made you feel welcomed. There was plenty of beds for all my guest upstairs and two rooms on the main floor to sleep families. They have many yard games available for use and the dock was large enough to fit our two boats we brought with us. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and will recommend it to friends and family.
Our group of 10 had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room to be together and spread out in the cabin and outside. The kids and adults loved the canoe, paddle board, and ping pong table. It was great being so close to the water. We enjoyed the campfire set up and being able to play yard games as well.
It was very nice. It was close enough to town. I loved that the cabin was right on the lake and they had a canoe for us to use. We would have liked there to be a little more room for our large group to sit around and socialize. We thought some of the clean up tasks were a bit much.
Wonderful place, beautiful every inch ! The views and breezes are amazing, fishing off he dock kept the family busy for hours, no much in the way of jet ski's etc... so able to really relax on the perfect front yard! The home itself is so nice, plenty of room, needs nothing. Honestly, a wonderful place, with a great neighbor to the right full of history of the lake and area, can't say enough how much we enjoyed every aspect, every moment. Thank you so much for the little touches and having us feel like we were living the life :)
