NATHROP, Colorado
This is a "Pay it Forward" cabin, I did my part you do yours, "Thank You"
This cabin is 'The Wild Hare' approximately 650 sq. ft. with a loft with a queen futon and a bedroom downstairs with a double bed. It has its own bathroom ( seasonal , read below) with an antique cast iron tub and shower. The living area has a sofa love seat couch that does not fold out and is not made for sleeping on, as it is only 50 inches long. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, blender, toaster , pots and pans along with cooking and eating utensils.
If you want to bring a pet, you possibly can convince me it is a life companion. I will allow pets in this cabin as the others but do not leave them alone or you will lose your deposit.
Cabin price based on 2 people all extra guests and pets are $10 more per night. Make sure you verify all before arrival. This is your home and others in the mountains, surprises are good but not the type that is to sneak one over on Jeff or the other guests on the property. Like you tell me one pet and got 5 , or one guest and I arrive to find a tent and a camper. Thank You,,All and Jeff
This is a seasonal cabin yet rented most all the year when I am around. I do shut the water off from around October 30 to May 1.. People still rent at a reduced price. Make sure you understand this as there is a bathhouse on the Cottontail cabin that can be used and also an outhouse about 30 yards away.
If you bring extra guests (people or pets) and did not include when booking it is best you inform Jeff immediately and /or use the drop box on the property located at Jeff's house. If you do not inform Jeff/use the drop box , you will be charged double when leave. This will come out of your damage deposit. That is $20 per night for each and not $10. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. (OR) you will lose your deposit. I am tired of people not the pets trying to get over on me and me letting it happen. It took two many years to fix these places up, never getting paid and now, I just wanted to be treated as I ask. Thank You Jeff and all honest guests!
The peace fullness of Bunnylane Cabins area, the 5 minute walk to the lake, cabins that overlooks the beaver ponds, outside fire pits, gas grill and much more.

Off-season 'Winter' is when water is shut off to the cabin
This is from Approx. Oct. 15/Nov. 1 to Approx. May 1, verify if concerned
When water is shut off the price go to winter or off season rates.
If the water has been shut off to the cabin verify water is still on at the Bathhouse that is attached to the Cottontail.
You can still rent the cabins and go to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs only 5 minutes away (1.5 miles) down the valley for soaking and swimming.
There is an outhouse on the property ( see property layout on Bunnylane Cabins Web page)
For Water, there is a well on the property, but I suggest you bring a few gallons of drinking water, if you do not like well water. The well is shown on the property layout.

This is a beautiful cabin that’s really well maintained and in a great area near lots of activities. The owner is very responsive. I had a great time while I was here and it was a nice place to get away and just enjoy nature. I would definitely recommend staying here!
The area that the cabin is in is beautiful. The cabin itself is quaint and rustic, as we expected. We had a great time staying there. Property manager was quick to respond to questions that we had.
Very rustic but did have a bathroom and kitchen. Felt like being a camp.
Our stay met and exceeded what we were looking for. The location was perfect for our activities. Jeff put a lot of work and love into this property.
I was a bit disappointed to see that no one comes in to clean in between guests - then I was charged a fee for not fully cleaning the property before I left despite having spent literally *hours* cleaning up before we left. Felt like a cash grab, not cool. We only used the loft bed - while it has a mattress protector, that protector was covered in dirt. While it all had a cozy vibe that we enjoyed, the owners could do more to make sure it’s clean in between stays other than just charging the people who actually do clean.
Quiet and peaceful getaway. Described perfectly in the listing.
The cabin was fine and the self cleaning requirements were fine for the price However the owner gave no prior notice that there was no water in the cabin except for a gallon jug. Yet photos of cabin shows full bathroom in the cabin. Note on bathroom door said to use outdoor toilet or the bathhouse on the other side of the grounds. Also, there was a bucket under the kitchen sink that caught liquids poured down sink. Lastly, the bed had a comforter but no other linens. This was a very strange experience not to be repeated, to put it nicely.
The cabin is beautiful, the area is beautiful, Lots to do. This was a gift to my wife for Valentine’s Day. We were nervous about the no running water, but it didn’t affect our overall experience. It was a cozy, magical getaway. We’re already planning our next stay.
It was easy to rent online. Directions to the property were easy to follow. As this is a cabin, there wasn’t actually a check-in process. We never met property managers or Jeff, the owner. Our primary critique is to provide better tools for the wood, an axe and a hatchet for example. The only tool was a maul which made chopping kindling to restock a bit of a challenge.
