The water at this property can have a sulfur smell, and the water cooler water dispenser station is located in the kitchen along with replacement water jugs.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
The privacy and cleanliness and location were top notch.
Cabin was musty and very dark. Diseasher broken. dirty dishes put away as clean, dirty utensils on counter, AC very poor, hot tub lid was disgusting, porch was dirty and had wasp nests on post, hot tub was foggy and WAY over chemicals and created a gross foam, very busy road about 300 yards away. With rediculous fees, I wouldnt recommend this cabin at all. It was disappointing enough, we left after the first night to find better accommodations.
Lovely quiet spot, but super convenient to downtown Asheville. The owner informed us the hot tub was broken at check-in, but actually got it fixed the first day so it was on when we got back the next afternoon. Would definitely stay again.
The cabin was very nice! We were unaware of the horrible sulphur smell. Thank goodness for the hot/cold water that was provided! The old bathtub was nice to look at but very impractical for showering! The shower curtain was WAY to long. Great location and very private!
The location, the amenities and the overall care for such an old property are great. We had the best time exploring the area and being able to relax in such a private and beautiful spot with our dog. Highly recommend!
We arrived to a dirty cabin! There was lettuce and various crumbs in the drawers of the refrigerator. The stove top had stuck on food and oil spots everywhere. A french fry in the grate of the oven. The glass shower shelf that holds soap and shampoo's was covered in slimy soap scum (It clearly wasn't cleaned). The pull out couch when pulled out had various different food crumbs, bobby pins and hair ties (yuck). No one should ever be on VACATION and come to a place they spent $$$ on to rent and enjoy and walk into what we did. The outdoor grill was filthy and full of whatever food was previously cooked on it. The skewers for toasting marshmallows was filthy covered in burnt (unwashed) marshmallow pieces. The gas tank ran out during our stay while cooking breakfast for our family with no tools available to change out. The small heaters provided were not substantial enough throughout the freezing winter nights. Large bugs came in and were all over the upstairs. My kids were struggling to sleep at night because of this. We ended up leaving a few days early after how horrible this experience was. Not a thing was compensated back to us. A complete waste of money. Would never recommend anyone go through Vacasa especially. They acted like they would make some things right but in the end we got zero compensation. All we got out of this trip was a massive waste of money and disappointed family and kids and wasted trip and time that could have been spent more enjoyably elsewhere.
In all the years and all the different cabins we’ve rented, we have never had a more awful experience which is terrible when vacation is meant to be relaxing and fun. To start, when we arrived to our cabin rental, it was filthy. Grease and caked on food still all over stove and countertops. Large amounts of crumbs left in the drawers of the refrigerator. The pull out couch had Bobby pins and multiple varieties of food crumbs all sandwiched throughout it as it was pulled out. The dishwasher was not working and they left a ripped off piece of paper saying “sorry, but dishwasher isn’t working right now.” With the well system, the sink was completely backing up every time we went to hand wash every dish we used. (Family of 5) The gas tank went out while trying to cook my family breakfast, we had to wait two hours before it was resolved and I could finish cooking for my family. My husband had to drive to a hardware store to buy a tool to fix it as there was nothing available on the property. The tub glass tray that holds the soap bottles was full of unwashed soap scum/build up (clearly wasn’t cleaned). The heat was very limited to 2 tiny portable heater units and did not suffice for extremely low temps at night. Large weevils/stink bugs were all over the upstairs. No extra blankets beside what was on the bed (light weight quilts). Outside grill was filthy and still had a spatula laying on it caked in food. The skewers for roasting marshmallows were clearly never washed. Caked on marshmallows on every one of the sticks placed next to fireplace inside home. I would never rent from Vacasa again after this experience.
An arrival Christmas tree/decor, an indoor wood fireplace and the hot tub was very appreciated and got much use. Given the frigid temperatures the space heaters up and downstairs were needed and well utilized.
We had a great time everything was perfect! The driveway was all gravel and downhill so with the rain it was a little sketchy but we were in a jeep so we had no issues. Loved the hot tub! I for sure thing this is a great stay for a couple or a small family as there is only 1 full bathroom. Such a great getaway for us.
Overall great cabin, very cute with some updates. Our daughter loved that it had a hot tub and they have a box fan available which I thought was great. IYKYK. Now the cons: It's my opinion that if you take a car to this cabin and it rains or snows you might not make it out and you'll prob be scraping on the way in. I was in a mid sized SUV and getting out under dry conditions was tricky. I was scared the rain would start before we checked out because I truly thought we would end up stuck. Beware. When we arrived the door lock was dead so we could not enter the code leaving us unable to go inside until realized both doors to the cabin were unlocked as well as several windows left up and open. I felt very unsafe going into a cabin that had been left unsecured where a person could have gotten in or an animal through a screen. One screen (near the hot tob) was already pulled out in some areas. I just didn't find this acceptable at all. We had to leave the property unlocked when we left as we had no way to lock it back up. That's a huge problem. We were able to get a code for a key box and use it from that point, however, I don't think the door battery just happened to die in the 2-3 hours between the cleaning crew leaving and us arriving (we got a text that made it seem like housekeeping had been there that day) so I was annoyed it wasn't taken care of earlier. They offered to come replace the battery during our stay but I didn't want someone accessing inside the property while we were there OR while we were out. This was kind of a bother all around. Lastly, the tub/shower... I saw a note/review on the wall of the cabin from 2015 (?) when I believe their first guest stayed. They mentioned that the shower curtain was too long and there we were years later still with a ridiculously long shower curtain. Doesn't seem like a big deal but it was. It's a clawfoot tub so the long curtain ends up at your feet which pulls the sides of the curtain in and it's almost just wrapped around you. It gets over the drain, it's cold, it's prob not washed between guests, just yuck and so uncomfortable. It was so bad we only showered the first day. How hard is it to cut the curtain??? There was also a sharp glass shelf that juts out over the tub which is dangerous and I was surprised it was put there. No thought of safety went into that. So yes we liked the cabin but for what we paid a night total cost we prob won't go back. And they ask you to do laundry lol. No.
We had a great time, we never left the cabin, hot tub, fire pit, coziness, great kitchen facilities and about 20 nice turkeys visiting daily. Only problem was the access road, tires were spinning in place and at times all four wheels were not touching. I was literally stuck for 10 minutes trying to decide what to do. I had to back up, refill in the ruts, get a running start and drive partially in the edge of the grass. My sister behind me had 4 wheel drive and we popped hers into 4 wheel drive mode so she could exit. But we got our! Please take this in to consideration when booking here. If it rained I'm not sure I would have made it out.
Lovely antique cabin in a private setting. Well appointed. Pet friendly.
The property is secluded and pretty nice. The driveway is a little sketchy, make sure your car has good ground clearance. I’m pretty sure my corvette would not have made it to the house. Most average cars would do fine though.
The place was very clean and very private. We loved the hot tub and fire pit. It was the perfect location for visiting the Biltmore, Chimney Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway and local breweries. Would definitely stay again!
This was romantic getaway for two. It was great. The sulfur smell in the water did not slow us down. Plenty of freshwater in a provided cooler in the kitchen. Great Hot tub, porch and view. Very close to Asheville attractions. We would stay again!!!
