Very nice cabin! We enjoyed kayaking, fishing and bonfires. Nice getaway There was no air conditioning as listed in amenities. .
Very nice property. Would stay there again for sure.
I found the property and experience overall to be disappointing. How often when you travel do you pack a bag for just towels? This would be the first VRBO I've ever stayed at that said we typically don't provide towels? Seriously folks who packs towels? They did finally provide them, but having to ask is silly. They did not remove the trash from the previous guest. The selection of utensils looks like something out of a kiddie kitchen or dollar general. An adult sized coffee maker would be appreciated. The house needs a water filtration system to remove the obvious rust and rotten egg odor. The icing on the cake is the 8AM check out requirement on your last day that you paid for. We had to ask twice to get a little relief only because a family member had to visit a hospital for illness. If it were not for that situation, I'm not confident they would be flexible and was told NO once before calling and talking to a different person. Hiller Vacation Homes needs to seriously up their game and this home owner is obviously not serious about generating any repeat customers. I take full responsibility for not reading the fine print, but this place is a joke.
Cabin and location was what we expected. Enjoyed the lake. Only issue was the well water. It smells pretty bad, bring bottled water.
Location is great. Not far from Eagle River and Minquoa. We took the kids to both places zoo(Minquoa) and Children's Museum(Eagle River). Fire pit was great for campfire evenings. It does not have a good place for swimming. Cabin was clean and layout nice. Check in was seamless. If you are a coffee drinker bring your own coffee pot! It's like a 2 cup coffee maker. Overall a very nice cabin! Loved that it was pet friendly!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very clean and nice. Lots of space and beautiful view out the windows. Be sure to take lots of bottled water because the well water smells horrible and you won’t want to drink it. Also, take plenty of clothes because there is no washer and dryer. Otherwise, a great place and wonderful location.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: great it would have been better if it had been on a snowmobile trail. the rusty water was disappointing.
The cabin was very cute and in good condition. I didn’t give it 5 stars due to several issues all beyond the control of the owner. The water is definitely smells of sulfur. The road is pretty busy. The neighbors dog barked as we sat around the campfire. The cabin itself was very, very nice.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There are some positives and negatives about the cabin. First, the positives:Cabin was close to the water. Only about 100 feet from the pier. Very nice lake and that was the main selling point of this cabin. It has a decent little fire pit and a reasonable amount of space to move around. The beds were OK. Bathrooms were tolerable. Everything is about what I would expect from a cabin. We had 5 people and that’s about the most you would comfortably have in this cabin. I was actually impressed with the service from Hiller, the rental management company. We had a minor problem with our boat rental and they swapped out our boat for another right away. I contacted them for a few other questions and they were quick to respond. Overall a very good service experience and they will be my preferred management company for future vacations in St Germain. For the negatives, the water in the cabin had a strong sulphur smell. I recommend bringing bottled water. It was bad enough that we really didn’t want to use the shower. The cabin is close to town but it’s also right off of the most significant road in the area, which means you hear a lot more traffic then I want. There are 3 small TVs in the house but no signal, cable or over the air. The coffee maker is really small, about enough for one cup of coffee. A lot of small annoyances. The bathrooms were also not very clean when we arrived. Not deal breakers but definitely negatives.
Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cleaners were friendly and did a great job when they finally came TWO HOURS after we were supposed to check in.THE OWNERS NEVER CALLED BACK AND OFFERED ANY SORT OF REFUND OR ANYTHING.THE MAINTENANCE WORKERS CHARGED US FOR DAMAGE TO THE PONTOON RENTAL WITHOUT OUR CONSENT OR ANY NOTICE. SOMEONE FROM HILLERS WAS SITTING OUTSIDE OF THE CABIN BEFORE 8 AM AS WE WERE PACKING UP TO LEAVE.The cabin itself was great, but I would NOT rent from Hillers again.
