This large Cliffview Resort 1400 sq. ft. log home is perfect for people wanting to get away in a lakefront location and have access to fishing, canoeing, and swimming. The lake is a great place to fish for Bass and Catfish. The view from this cabin is spectacular! There is a shared dock and a shared canoe available. You may bring your own kayak or canoe.
Feel free to hike around the lake, although the view is so spectacular from the deck you may not want to leave it. It is a beautiful spot in the winter as the lake remains a clear blue-green color year round. All paved roads except for a short, steep, gravel driveway.
This cabin has 3 BR and 3 baths and a pool table. It has central heat/ac, stone gas fireplace, satellite TV (in both the living room and master bedroom), high speed internet, landline phone, and a kitchen with a dishwasher and ceiling fans. A washer and dryer are available for those reserving long stays. The master bedroom has a king bed, second bedroom has a queen bunk bed and the 3rd bedroom has one queen for a sleeping capacity of 8 people. Located close to Bake's Burrow and Wuthering Heights, it offers opportunities for large group reunions.

Overall the property was a great getaway. The area around the lake is relaxing. The dishwasher needs fixed, it appeared to be moldy and not cleaning the dishes. We enjoyed the pool table but it also seems like it's falling a part.
I stayed here with several friends this past weekend, and most aspects of the cabin were wonderful. The great: the kitchen was spacious and well-stocked, and the bedrooms were perfect for our needs, with a private bathroom next to each. The location was peaceful, and we enjoyed using the hot tub and sitting out by the lake. The room for improvements: the deck isn’t in the best shape, as it could use a fresh coat of paint and/or mildew removal—it’s slippery in spots. As others have noted, one driveway is extremely steep, so much so that we avoided using it (even with my 4WD Subaru). I also expected to be able to use the boats on the dock, as described in the listing, but we couldn’t find any paddles. Finally, we had an experience that hopefully no other guests would share: the bedroom smoke detectors started blaring just before 2 a.m. on our second night, while everyone was sleeping. It took a little while to figure out how to silence them, and it disrupted an otherwise relaxing weekend.
Loved the privacy. Loved the lake. Loved the area. Loved the cabin itself. Awesome place!
We enjoyed our stay at Forestdale. The cabin was very clean and was as pictured on the site. It is located in a gated community, so the area was very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the lake view and walking around the lake. There were 6 adults in our group and their was plenty of room for all of us. Several of us enjoyed the hot tub after an all day hike. The only con's I can think of is there is no place to hang clothing in the bedrooms, only a couple of hooks. There is no closet space. We could have used another chair in the living room, but we managed with what was there. They ask that you bring your own bath towels if traveling by car, which was no big deal but have never been asked to do that at other properties. We would stay here again with no hesitation!
Our family had a wonderful time staying at your propert. We felt nestled away in trees with a beautiful lake view as we soaked in the hot tub after a strenuous hike. The kids loved kayaking and fishing in the lake and the adults enjoyed the beautiful deck and listening to the spring peepers and birds. Close and convenient to everything. We hiked auxier ridge, rock bridge loop and ate at Miguel’s pizza, all of which are close to the cabin. We will definitely be back and I would recommend this home to others.
We were a group of 7 up for a weekend for a friend's birthday and loved the cabin. It's spacious enough for all of us and the location was great. We loved the hot tub, large kitchen, and the firepit. Two notes for future renters - you can't really tell from the pictures, but the bunk beds are full beds and can sleep two in each (we were originally worried they were regular twin size in case anyone else is)! And the listing does call it out, but the driveway is STEEP. There's one in the front that can fit one or two cars, and a slightly less steep drive in the back that levels out to fit more cars. They're both also gravel. Not a huge issue, but if you have a smaller car or don't have four wheel drive, it can be tough. Overall would definitely stay here again!
The location was great with a wonderful view and access to the lake. Hot tub was perfect and indoor layout was wonderful for 4 adult ladies seeking quiet time and peace. Already planning to return.
The Forest Dale property was absolutely stellar in appearance. My now fiancée and I had a fantastic and restorative weekend! Yep, totally proposed to the love of my life here. It's that nice! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The lake view and the recessed forest location make for an incredibly relaxing, quiet, and therapeutic getaway. The rooms are large with plenty of bathrooms if you have a group of people coming to stay. The common area was very inviting and stocked with all of the bowls, plates, and utensils you could need. Wi-Fi services were consistent, the couches were comfortable, and the beds were exceptionally cozy. The only negative feedback I could leave is that the gravel driveway has a steep incline. It could be tough to drive up, depending on your vehicle. Other than that, I 10/10 would recommend coming here. An amazingly restful and rejuvenating location.
We had an awesome family get away and this cabin was perfect for the 4 of us. Location was great, steep driveway, I suggest using the driveway on the back side of the house. We went on a hike to the natural bridge, went fishing in the lake our property sat on and had a bon fire, w/roasted marshmallows. Our girls had a great time and loved the bunk bed as they got to share the room and have a sister sleep over. Highly recommend for a family of 4-8. There was plenty of room with just us 4 but could make it work for a bigger family. Thank you for a great place and stay we had a blast!!!
If you are looking for an excellent getaway for 1-2 smaller families this cabin is ideal. The cabin actually has 3 separate bedroom and bathrooms which is great for those times when people need their own little bit of space. The common area with the kitchen is wonderful with a large open concept and has a walkout patio. A lot of time can be spent in this space enjoying various activities and socializing. The hot tub is great for 3-4 people and was in excellent condition. Water access is just down the steps with it's own dock. There are some stumps in the area where this cabin is but those didn't propose any issues as they were visible. It is a bit of a trip from check-in to the cabin so I recommend that you make sure you have absolutely everything you want and need as a trip for something as small as milk or sugar is a bit of a process. It was a very good feeling that the pictures in the listing were very accurate to what we actually walked in to. I know sometimes pictures can be very misleading to what you are getting but not in this case. We had an excellent time and would definitely stay in this cabin and area again. Thank You!
