The whole process was perfect. From the listing to the reservation, to the communication, to the stay, and the check out. When we arrived, Kathy came out to greet us and show us the property and the ins-and-outs (how to use the hot tub, where to hike, where to eat, how to set the heat on the heater and 'fireplace'. The cabin was so much fun, knowing we were staying in 100+ yr old cabin was amazing all by itself. The cabin was warm, the bed was nice, the decor was spot on, the landscape was beautiful and well kept, the kitchen was perfect (everything we needed and then some), the hot tub was WONDERFUL, the living area was very comfortable... I could go on forever. Check-out was easy (easiest for any Air-BNB or VRBO we have ever stayed in). Away from the home, we ate some great food (recommended by Kathy), we went on a number of hikes (on and off the property). The river was beautiful and the hike up the hill was easy and fun with a great view. We heard and/or saw a Golden Eagle, Quail, Crows, Steller's Jays, It rained on us, but we didn't care because we were having fun. We got to see a beautiful full rainbow that touched the cabin.
Nice property and cabin worked well!!
We had a wonderful girls night at the Lodge Cabin. It was warm and cozy. Had a full kitchen, huge table and welcoming living room. The bedrooms were unique and we had plenty of space. The attention to details, amenities and the absolutely breathtaking views are in memories that were made. Hot tub was clean and you could see the stars forever. We were even greeted by deer. We want to make this an annual event. Thank you!
We needed a place to unwind and spend time together. It was forced relaxation and we loved it! The grounds are gorgeous. The cabin was cozy, quiet, and private. It was perfect
Charming property in a beautiful, rural setting. Warm reception from host, excellent communication, lovely hot tub under starry skies. Impeccably clean. Comfortable beds in well-equipped log house. I would stay here again. Highly recommend.
Has everything you need and some things you didn't realize you did:) Had a great time:) Wonderful hosts! Close to things but far enough for privacy:)
The cabin was perfect for our needs. Simple cabin with enough beds and room to enjoy with family. The hosts met us right after we arrived to give us additional details about the property. The place was clean and the outside was well manicured. Even though we were by the highway it felt private and peaceful. Hot tub and fire pit were nice too.
We had a great time just relaxing and doing what we all love to do and that is quilting. Was nice that we were able to find quilt shops that weren’t to far away. We were able to finish some projects. The hot tub was an added bonus for us this time. The river was nice as well, since I spend a good portion of my summers on a river fly fishing. We do get togethers a couple times a year. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very cozy, everything was super clean and we found the place very accommodating for families with small kids. We had two three year olds and an infant along and really enjoyed our stay.
We loved staying in this beautiful cabin! It seems small from the outside but it perfectly fit all ten of us! Loved the snowy outdoors to walk around in and the big dinning room table to play games on! We would stay again!
This home was perfect for this group of old friends to get together. The indoor space was set up for hanging around and chatting. The table was big enough for us all to be in the kitchen area and chat with whomever was cooking and the lounge chairs were perfect for morning coffee and chatting. We were able to snowshoe from the front door, spent a lot of time watching the elk come down the mountain and star gazed from the hot tub. Perfect place for a get away!
Absolutely beautiful property, warm greeting by the owner and looks just like the pictures, but even better!! We will be back for sure and will recommend the American Homestead to anyone looking for a Naches getaway!! Thank you, Kathy, Don, and Jon!
We were surprised when we pulled in by how beautifully the property is maintained. The house is comfortable, there is a hot tub on the deck where you can sit and look at the stars, and a huge lawn out front. We saw elk in the evening and we loved the breezes that blew through the valley during our stay. It is about 50 minutes to Chinook Pass where the Naches Loop and Sourdough Gap hikes are. We picked a quart of huckleberries at Naches and had an incredible stay overall.
Very affordable for all the space you get. Super clean hot tub and lots of space to walk the grounds. Definitely recommend!
Really enjoyed the site and cabin. Well stocked and beautiful views
Beautiful place! Lovely grassy area to play cornhole and bocce. House was clean and well stocked - lots of different kinds of glasses and dishes. Hot tub was great for evening star gazing. We didn’t use the fire pit, but it looked amazing. Hosts were super friendly and helpful.
Good fly fishing, we are novices and tried it out. We did quite a bit of catch and release, catching. Walk to the river. Place was great, huge and I really like that they price it by the number of people staying. We are a couple and normally a place that big just would not be worth it for us. It was, this time. The also didn't charge us a cleaning fee making a short stay more sensible. Late check out, early check in times are very user friendly. Everyone nice but unobtrusive. Felt very private and we live in the woods. A very fun little getaway to do some fly fishing on the Naches River. Some decent hiking, three miles to a funky little bar/restaurant. Don't hesitate, it is great.
Our family had a great stay at this fantastic property. Tons of room to roam and play outside with kiddos. Very clean cabin on the inside I was impressed. Wildlife sightings, birds, elk and deer. Hot tub was a plus with great views. We will be back. Thanks!
We stayed here for my birthday to have a small get together, the cabin is in a very beautiful location and we left feeling very relaxed. The owners are easy to contact and are extremely helpful and kind. Would definitely come back
