Alton, Utah
WELCOME TO OUR HOME! We are located in beautiful southern Utah, with its great red mountains, nestled among tall pine and oak trees. Our gorgeous neighborhood, Elk Ridge, has chip-sealed roads that are maintained year-round, including snow removal after each storm during the winter months. No dusty or muddy roads! There are beds for 14. Our home is new on the rental market, but we know you will love to share it with us from time to time.
CONVENIENT ACTIVITIES:
Because of our easy location, (junction of us 89 and SR14) there are plenty day trips within close proximity, which include: Zion and Bryce National Parks; Cedar Breaks National Monument; Navajo lake, Panguitch Lake; Duck Creek Pond for the young ones; Aspen Mirror Lake; Sevier River for fly and lure fishing; and many ATV trails with connection to Dixie National Forest trail system.
Gas, groceries, and other supplies available at the gas station on the corner of hwy 89 & hwy 14, only a very short walk. Our home is a great place to headquarter your families vacation. After a day’s fun filled travels, return here in the evening and enjoy the peace and serenity and watch for the deer and sometimes turkeys that frequent our property in the mornings and evenings.

If you want a location in between Bryce and Zion for a couple days, I think this works. About 40 minutes to Bryce and an hour to Zion (the tunnel). It served the purpose for us, but wasn't fantastic. No grocery options nearby - the local gas station IS NOT reliable for groceries. Beds were comfortable. The interior was clean. Wifi worked once we received the password. The exterior was really lacking - broken chairs, discarded objects and tools right on the entrance stoop. Why isn't that stuff removed so a renter wouldn't see it? The listing doesn't show exterior pictures of the property. That's telling. It's kinda sad that a small amount of work would make the outside shine and the location with animal tracks and we heard elk bugles is really nice - but no chairs on the deck to sit outside and enjoy it. I don't understand having a home with a deck this big and not tempting your renters to enjoy the outdoors! The exterior maintenance was strikingly off on this property - take care of the logs that make up the structure! The neighborhood was upscale but this property felt declining. I don't intend an entirely negative review. Main advice: - Clean up outside. - Add deck furniture. - Leave your wifi password on a note in the property so we're not working to get it (cellphone access is spotty) I wouldn't recommend if you want to relax outside at a property in this area. I would recommend if you don't care about being outside. Regardless, bring all your groceries!
This older barn style cabin is located just south of Bryce Canyon and near the path of the 14 Oct Eclipse. I went with my adult children and grandkids to view this event. The cabin is remote/isolated and very private. The rooms are not as large as they appear in the photos. Overall the kitchen was well stocked w/ lots of gadgets and some staples. There was a huge love sack which was a big hit with the kids, toys, and all type of DVDs. Very cozy and comfortable. The large deck was perfect for star-gazing. The beds and lines were nice and comfortable. Towels could use replacing. I am called Grandma Panda by my kids, so the cabin name along / the panda sign, panda pictures and Kung Fu panda movies fit well w/ our family. We only stayed 2 nights so all the fees made the nightly cost higher than I expected. The Family Time vacation resort fee of $90 was tacked with out notice.
The home inside is cozy and decorated in a cute style. The outside not so much- in need of outside upkeep. We would have appreciated a renters book with instructions for the Entertainment system and heater. Both took much time to navigate. The dishwasher was full- couldn't tell if clean or dirty. We couldn't wash because there were no tabs. After many texts with the property management some tabs were left on the last day there. I felt dissatisfied with having a remote property management company.
Location worked out well to see Cedar Breaks and Bryce. The inside was as expected from pictures. Nice, large, comfortable space to relax. Beds were comfy. Management responded quickly. However, the pots and pans need replacing as the non-stick coating is severely scratched and pealing off. Also the outside has been neglected and in need of paint, weeding and cleaning up.
The cabin has lots of potential but needs some TLC around the outside. No amenities for sitting out on the large deck to enjoy the nice view so bring your own chairs. Great location for the national parks.
Very private
This cabin is located in a very quiet community. The cabin was perfect for the family. We loved our stay and would stay here again.
The cabin was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. There was plenty of hot water too. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer since we were on a 3 week trip. It was the perfect place to stay between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park.
This property is great for families with kids. It is bright and warm. Comfortably accommodate 10 people in the 3 bedrooms and the loft. Have a wide open views around the house. Kitchen is well equipped. 4 well drive SUV is a must for winter because of the downhill driveway.
