Beautiful open floor plan cabin with fieldstone hearth and chimney and second floor balcony. Cabin resides on a seven-acre wooded lot, which affords peace and quiet. One bedroom and one bathroom are on the first floor, along with a fold-out queen bed in the living room. The kitchen and dining area are also on the first floor. Two bedrooms and another bathroom are on the second floor. There is a front porch with Adirondack chairs for relaxing outside in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Kitchen has been recently renovated, along with bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen floors.
Local attractions include Sunday River Ski area (8 peaks), Mt. Abram Ski Area, Sunday River Golf Club (a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. design), and the Bethel Inn Golf Course--within 10 minutes drive. In addition, numerous hiking trails, including the Appalachian Trail, are nearby. There are also nearby recreational lakes. Bethel is a charming New England town with numerous restaurants and shops.
Excellent attention to detail, well stocked, amazingly clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to anyone.
Great log cabin, perfect for 2 families or 1 large family.
It is the perfect location and welcoming accommodation for us. We especially like that it is cat friendly, so our Russian Siberian cat Tasha can join our visit. Thanks to our hosts for another wonderful stay. We will be back.
Remote, quiet. Awesome fireplace with good size wood pieces provided. Google Nest heating so easy to use. 5 stars.
This cabin is amazing for a ski weekend at Sunday River. It was perfect for our group and so easy. The house is super clean and slept 9 adults comfortably.
Incredibly comfortable, cozy and well-situated property. Perfect for our needs.
A wonderful cabin to stay in when enjoying skiing (in winter) or hiking, canoeing, or fishing (in summer). Clean, well-equipped, nice woodsy setting.
The house was great it had everything we needed. It was close to Sunday River. There was lots of firewood and the house was very comfortable
Great property in a beautiful area. It felt like our own private getaway!
No complaints (not even about glassware or towels, lol). This place is always great and the family that owns the house is quite generous in their trust of those who rent. My wife, sons and I always have a nice relaxing time.
My family of 8 just spent 4 days in this cabin on a mountain. We woke the first morning to a spring snowstorm and were delighted to be together. There was sufficient space for all of us and we particularly enjoyed the large fireplace. TV reception was sketchy, probably due to snow on the. Satellite dish. We felt the amenities were very basic with only 1 towel available for each person, one hand towel for the whole house and few face towels. The same was the case in the kitchen. Not enough plates for everyone and a serious lack of glassware. We had to go buy some in order to have something other than plastic cups to drink from. The proximity to Sunday River was convenient for those who were skiing and it was a quick 15-20 minute ride into Bethel for necessities.
The cabin was great and very well maintained/cleaned. We along with our pups loved the weeked in the mountains!
Just back from a three night stay and we had a great time. The cabin was clean, spacious, and well stocked. The owner provided great information on arrival and departure. The location was ideal, a short drive from Sunday River and local restaurants but very quite and secluded in the woods. We would recommend you stay at this cabin if you plan on visiting this part of Maine.
We are three senior men who take a ski trip every year. This years’ trip was to Sunday River, Maine. This cabin was perfect for us. 15 minutes to the ski resort. We found everything we needed to make our stay one we will remember for a long time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The cabin was as described and the location very peaceful and secluded, yet close enough to Bethel and the White Mountains for our hiking and everything we needed during the week. Evenings spent on the front porch reading and relaxing after a hard day of hiking were a highlight.
This cabin is very nice and clean and in a nice location.
This cabin was ideal! Fantastic location - private and secluded yet minutes from great hiking. Minutes from Bethel and easy access to Mt. Washington, Jackson and North Conway. Well appointed kitchen. Comfy bed. Clean. Absolutely perfect! Just wish it had been cooler (in July?!?) so I could have had a fire. Book now.
What a great place to stay, very well appointed log home, the fireplace is a true wow factor, to sit in front of it in the evening is bliss. Having stayed in many places around Bethel over the years we all agree that this is the place to come back to. Thank you Morrisons.
A very well equipped cabin, exactly as described. Beautifully furnished, warm and comfortable. One of the better rentals in the Bethel area. In March, 2018, the internet connection, however, was very intermittent, in spite of a new wifi router. But who needs the internet in such a beautiful place?
Had a great time skiing at Sunday River conveniently located nearby and exploring historic Bethal. Bob was very responsive to inquiries and a great host. Would stay again.
Enjoyed a wonderful family ski vacation here with my wife, grown kids and their friends. Clean, cozy home. great communication from owner. Thank you!!
We had a wonderful long weekend at this cabin. It comfortably fit two families of four and was close to restaurants and Sunday River. The owner was incredibly available and accommodating and the house had everything we needed to feel at home. Would definitely go back!
The front porch was a lovely place to start your morning or end your day. The area has great hiking trails leading to numerous waterfalls. The town of Bethel is charming and has a variety of eating establishments for every type of palete.
Thank you Bob for sharing your wonderful cabin with us. My husband, three kids and two dogs recently spent the weekend here exploring the Bethel region and its summer offerings. The days were spent hiking and exploring and we were treated to a peaceful home in the evenings to unwind. The cabin has everything you would need/want in a weekend getaway...fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, hot showers. It is a cozy vacation home that clearly is well loved, well cared for and has been a place where many family memories have been made over the years. Bob was very helpful and easy to work with through the booking process. Thank you again for allowing us to share your home. Fondly, the Vigneaux Family
Cabin is outstanding
Wonderful cabin! Would stay again!
The cabin has everything you hope for for a place in the woods in Maine. Quiet and peaceful, deer roaming around and plenty of wood to build a lovely fire.
Great cabin that has anything you would need to enjoy a family ski vacation! My family agrees that we would definitely rent again next time we visit Sunday River.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. With its location you feel secluded in the woods, however your only a short ride to Sunday River and the town of Bethel. We stayed during the month of February. Upon arriving we found the driveway clear and the house shovel out. The fireplace was delightful after a day spent of the slopes.
We had a great stay at the Morrison's cabin. It is bigger than it seems in the pictures. It was clean and well equipped (didn't need to bring my crock pot!), the open & closing of the cabin instructions were easy to follow and it warmed up really quickly when we arrived the first night. Plenty of hot water for showers, the beds were comfortable and only 15 mins to South Ridge Lot at SR for skiing, we will hopefully return for another visit someday!
The property was very nice, large, clean, well-maintained with all the amenities (fireplace, cable, wifi and household items) you will need to enjoy your stay. The location was secluded but very close to town and skiing. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights with our 2 dogs. Mother nature was kind enough to snow overnight and leave a picture-perfect setting for us as we awoke. Highly recommended!
Our group of six had the best time staying in the cabin in Bethel! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need. The owners were a pleasure to work with and even went out of their way to send us my son's watch that he left behind. I would highly recommend this rental and will definitely stay there again if we're in that area in the future.
Morrison's cabin is a peaceful getaway, nestled on seven wooded acres, away from traffic and noise. It was a delightful indoor haven to rest our aches and pains after continuous days of hiking in the White Mountains. Additionally, there was plenty of space outdoors to hang hammocks for peaceful reading, prayer and meditation. We were grateful for our stay and highly recommend Morrison's cabin.
The kitchen was well equipped and the cabin was immaculate. Plenty of towels and sheets, a real bonus not having to pack those things. Our family felt very relaxed and at home from the moment we arrived. There was plenty of split wood available for the fire pit out back, we had a fire and sat out in the back yard all evening.
It was a great cabin for our big family. The cabin was well equipped for us to cook our meals. Our kids had a great time walking around the forest and sledding down the hill in the front yard. The fireplace was wonderful on the cold days and nights. Loved it. Also great for it to be connected.
We had a great ski week with our three college age sons with lots of fun making fires & playing board games. Cabin is well equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. With DHL it also kept our children connected. Close to town and support services like snow plowing provided which insured getting to mountain to ski after a foot of snow. We really enjoyed New Year's fireworks at Sunday River. Cabin is well maintained with good heating system as well as a great fireplace with stocked woodshed. The cabin is located at the top of a steep hill (mountain road) and was a bit challenging to climb in the ice the first night but was fine for the rest of our stay. Made wonderful memories and had a nice stay at The Cabin.
The cabin was immaculate, warm and inviting. Everything we needed for a quiet weekend away with friends was right there!
