Stayed here for 6 nights with a family of 4 including 2 kids ages 6 and 2. The kids loved the beach & fishing off the doc. Plenty of space in front of the lake for yard games too which was great. The bunkhouse worked great for naps with our 2 year old using the crib they had at the place. The lake is really nice with a few great sandy beach areas for swimming and the water was great. Not a whole lot to the cabin, but that's what we wanted! A bonus is that is has central A/C. Hit the AC and the place cools down instantly if you ever get too hot...wasn't expecting that in a more rustic cabin like this one is. Really a charming cabin, and if you ever get rain or bored, there is a TV and good wifi internet. The area is really cool too - we drove up to Crosby and the kids loved Memorial park. Also realized we are in mountain biking central so next time I'm bringing the mountain bike...Brian & Patty the hosts are great as well - you could see they put great pride into making sure we enjoyed ourselves. Bravo!

The cabin on Crooked Lake was idyllic! My family and I haven't had a vacation together weekend since my nephew (age 3) was born. We were really excited to have some time together as well as enjoy the great outdoors. Crooked Lake was the perfect spot for us. We arrived Friday afternoon, paddleboards in tow, and immediately set sail for the sea. The water was warm, the lake was calm, and we had a fun time exploring the shoreline with a bright-eyed, wet 3-year old. We had conversations with loons, spied on some muskrats, and even tried convincing some sunnies to join us for dinner. They said they were busy but maybe next time. We ordered some famous Rafferty's Pizza for dinner and ended the stormy evening indoors, playing some games, watching my nephew do the jammy cabin dance. Saturday was filled with more paddle boarding, more swimming, more bonfires, nature walks, and competitive corn hole. The boys played a round of golf in the morning and came home just in time to watch my nephew catch his first fish on his first cast ever!!! It was awesome! We ended the night under the stars with a few drinks in hands and slept safely inside. Sunday morning greeted us with french toast, more lawn games, and one last paddleboard session to make sure the lake didn't forget who we were. We said goodbye to our animal friends and were homewards bound by 12:30. It was a weekend to remember and hopefully one to re-create down the road! Thanks for the memories!
