Local activities include hiking, biking, fishing, boating and kayaking. There is also a golf course in Winter Harbor and Sorrento.
This place is a cozy, rustic little retreat where you can leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and enjoy the life of a little fishing village in Corea.
We had an amazing time at this adorable little bungalow. It was our first time downeast but definitely not our last! The house was super clean and so well stocked. Pam really thought of everything. The view is like something out of a postcard! We bought lobster from the Co-op (from Daryll!) and cooked it ourselves--yum! We also ate at the Gallery for lunch one day (highly recommended the lobster grilled cheese and blueberry pie)--so good. We had evening walks with our senior dog who is in a stroller now, and there is beauty everywhere you look. Of course we made the trip to both parts of Acadia--can't go wrong with either. And, at the end of the day, we had a lovely fire pit sit by in the evenings, or if it was too chilly, a screened in porch. We loved it everything about our time there--just wish it could have been longer. We didn't want to leave! Thank you, Pam for your hospitality!
My husband, 4-year-old daughter and I (and our dog) had a wonderful stay at this amazing cottage. The view is like something from a painting or a postcard! We enjoyed exploring the Schoodic part of Acadia, and one day we drove over to Bar Harbor, but my favorite part of the whole trip was just sitting in front of the cottage and watching the peaceful harbor. Down the road a bit there’s a perfect beach for watching the sunrise. There’s no railing on the stairs inside, so you might need to keep an eye on really young children, but it was fine for our daughter. And she loved the swing out front! Overall, this is a magical place for a peaceful getaway!
Enjoyed our stay at this little cottage on the bay.
It was absolutely wonderful!! So beautiful and quaint and clean and so relaxing!!
Out of the way and tidy. While the location was secluded and out of the way, that's exactly what we needed.
This cottage is in such a pretty setting in a working harbor. The weather was rainy and cold, but we were warm and cozy, enjoying the views from the comfortable sitting area in the large bedroom upstairs. We really appreciated the fire pit & stocked kitchen with everything that you would need to prepare dinner. It was one of the most relaxing weekends that we have had in a long time. It’s a beautiful area and Pam’s attention to detail made it so easy.
My wife and I wanted to get away to Maine for a few days, and Cathy saw this Bungalow's listing. It looked like it offered what we were looking for, so she booked it. Did it have what we were looking for? Absolutely yes! Sitting out in the yard after sunset in the darkness listening to the sounds of the waves caressing the shore as the bell on the odd buoy chimed, while we looked up into the heavens admiring the incredible amount of stars visible due to the absence of light pollution was the perfect ending of each day. Add to that, it's perfectly positioned as a starting point to head our for a full day of adventure makes this place even better. Our host Pam was easy to communicate with, and most thoughtful in leaving us an arrival gift. We had such a good time, and look forward to future stays!
Adorable little cottage with amazing views. Off the beat and path in a quaint town. Right on the water. Very unique. We wish we had more time there and would love to return some day. Pam was great.
My wife and I wanted to get away for our anniversary and experience a couple days in coastal Maine. This spot was perfect! Clean, cozy and private. It has the best view of the harbor and is so close to an awesome co op where you can purchase fresh lobster. Pam was an excellent host and was very quick to respond! She went above and beyond to make our anniversary special and provide everything that we needed to have a fun coastal Maine experience. Would highly recommend!
This bungalow is perfect in so many ways. Quiet, clean, comfortable and away from the hustle and bustle. It has all the comforts of home. The view of the harbor is stunning. We will definitely be back.
The property was just as we seen on Vrbo. We were so delighted with everything. My Husband is in a wheel chair, and he had no difficulty at all getting in, out or around inside. Such a beautiful view every day.
A beautiful small, quiet town. A gorgeous property. A bungalow with everything you need. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The place was very clean. It was our first air b and b experience! We will definitely be back.... it was hard to leave.
We enjoyed our stay at the Bungalow. It was quiet and relaxing which is exactly what we were looking for. The home was equipped w everything we needed to make a meal we brought nothing besides ourselves and the food. Pam was so quick to reply w answers to any questions I had.
Despite more winter like fog and rain, the location near the small docks where local fisherman make a living was really fun. Perfect for nearby hiking and exploring in the Schoodic Peninsula- and just an hour from Bar Harbor. The host was super responsive and helpful - a great, relaxing retreat
We had such a relaxing time, will absolutely be back!
Not fancy but we’ll appointed for all necessities to enhance perfect location for viewing picturesque working harbor of local lobstermen.
This place is a little gem. Rustic and homey, it’s ideally situated right on a working lobstering harbor. The location is peaceful, and the cottage is exactly what you need for a relaxing stay. Will stay again anytime!
We love this place. Beautiful, clean and quaint.
This home was welcoming and the surroundings were iconic. All the important things were there and the sights, smells, and scenery was amazing. Great hosts, too.
Just as expected, and more. Perfect for the chillaxing in Maine vacation.
Enjoyed hiking the Schoodic side of Acadia and Pam's Bungalow was a very convenient location. We loved the scene overlooking the Corea Harbor, the bungalow was comfortable for four adults and really enjoyed having the firepit in the evening! Pam responds very quickly if you have questions.
We had a wonderful time- cute cozy cottage! Definitely come again!
We loved it!! We will definitely be back!! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!!
Wish I could live here! We had a short but fantastic stay at this adorable bungalow. Loved the location - peaceful, quiet, beautiful. Exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait to come back one day. Thank you!
When I booked this stay we were planning on making it a last hoorah for our 15-year-old golden retriever, however, he, unfortunately, passed the morning of our stay. Having this quaint little getaway to mourn and be away from the crowds while feeling the ocean air was the perfect thing to help our family heal. Although we weren't in the best spirits during our stay this little home away from home was just what we needed in a critical times in our lives. Pam was very sweet and easy to get a hold of, and the house was perfect for our family of 4 and our small dog. I would highly reccomend this home to anyone looking to visit the area!
Bridges Bungalow was perfect for us. We got to hike and kayak and then return each day to peaceful serenity overlooking the water. The place had everything we needed and Pam was a great host - responsive and considerate.
What a wonderful little cottage and beautiful setting. Everything you could need is at your fingertips. Even though many of the restaurants are closed, we still had a lovely dinner out and cooked lobsters here. We found the path to the beach in the Corea Cottages and hiked over to Bar Island at low tide.... amazing peace! Plenty of hiking and sightseeing off the Schoodic Point loop road. Topped of the night with a refreshing glass of wine left by the host, whilst enjoying a campfire. My only regret is only having two days available to rent... i would have stayed a week! Thank you so much!
Everything about our stay at the cottage was perfect. The location was picture book and movie set quality. Pam, the host, was warmly hospitable and went way beyond expectations to make us feel welcome and to make our visit to the cottage special. I would 100% recommend booking the Corea cottage.
We had a wonderful time and wished we had a few more days to enjoy the area. The bungalow was amazing! Our twin teenagers want to go back immediately to visit. Our doggie was very happy with the treat that was generously left for her. We loved the place and hope to book again as soon as we have some free time. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Beautiful house and location on the bay. Enjoyed the stay!
We had a wonderful trip to Corea with our three year old and coonhound. The cabin is cozy and located in a quiet fishing village. We spent time exploring Acadia and ate some delicious food. The cabin is exactly as it was described, and provided a much needed weekend away!
My wife, two children, and I were looking for a peaceful weekend near Acadia National Park in Maine. This cottage was the perfect home base location. Waking up to the wonderful view of the ocean and the boats in Corea Harbor was a great way to start each day. I would highly recommend staying in this cozy ocean side getaway.
Superb! Quiet, extra clean, spectacularly beautiful setting. 6 stars on a 5 point scale. 15 minutes to one of the best restaurants in Maine, Salt Box. Very close to Schoodic Point loop. Just trying to figure out when I can come back!
We spent our 5 year anniversary in the Acadia area, and are so happy to have found this rental. We absolutely loved the house, it was perfect for us. Very cozy, clean, warm, and private. The views are literally right off a postcard. Plus, Pam was kind enough to leave us a personalized card and bottle of wine. As if the national park wasn't enough of a reason to return, we're already looking forward to planning our next trip to stay at Bridges Bungalow! Thanks Pam!
This property is wonderful! Very clean! Pamela has thought of everything. There is everything there to make your stay perfect and stress free. She has lots of kitchen utensils and lots of blankets and pillows. The fireplace is a nice touch! Even had a nice stack of wood next to the fire pit for us. Unfortunately we were unable to use hardly any of her wonderful amenities, as we were off and running here and there. We did really enjoy the short amount of time we were able to spend at this cute cabin. The views are spectacular! We wish we would have had more time to spend, but we definitely made the best of the time we had and all the amenities made that easy.
The location couldn’t be better! Quaint cottage was perfect for us.
This was a fantastic cottage top to bottom, with beautiful views of the harbor. The extra touches like the wine and the bone for our pup were icing on the cake for a truly wonderful time in this quaint little village. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you Pam! -Lucas, Jocelyn and Yucca-
We live the area, the cottage, the village. Process was easy! Highly recommend this place!!
Our three-day stay at Pam’s bungalow was delightful from start to finish...great communication from her, a warm welcome complete with a bottle of wine for us and chew toy for our golden retriever, gorgeous view of an authentic fishing village harbor that was a shutterbug’s delight, proximity to other charming towns on the Schoodic peninsula with good restaurants and art galleries, the magnificent, photogenic Schoodic Point and last but far from least, the Corea Wharf Gallery and Grill, a casual, dog friendly, seafood wharf two minutes away. Also close by and wonderful was Chapter Two, an art gallery and used book store where we made some great finds amongst the $1 books and magazines. Another art gallery worth noting: Littlefield Gallery in nearby Winter Harbor with its gallery and home full of superb sculptures and paintings. The Schoodic Peninsula, a half hour north of the busier Bar Harbor in Acadia National Park, is truly an off-the-beaten-path spot, especially in the fall, where you can enjoy the best that Maine has to offer in natural beauty, art, and food, and Pam Bridges bungalow was a warm, wonderful place base for exploring it all. Our golden retriever couldn’t agree more!
Such an adorable bungalow right on the harbor. Amazing sunrise view from the upstairs room!
Bridges Bungalow in Corea offers a true get-away--away from traffic, crowds, development--and a welcome to a slower, authentic, Downeast Maine lobstering village. The bungalow itself is perfectly described in the on-line listing and offers picturesquely beautiful (and endlessly fascinating) views of a working lobstermen's harbor, together with all the privacy one would want. Do not fail to go over to the Co-op to purchase lobster; then prepare as you wish!
What a wonderful location, you just can’t help but relax and enjoy the view out over the bay. Lots of possibilities for extra adventures and just exploring the area. We traveled from No California and could not have been happier with this bungalow, and will try to return next year..it’s just that great!! Mike & Scott Eureka, CA
This cozy cabin with awesome view served our R&R needs very well.
We had a very nice stay. Clean, comfortable, and a great location. I wish we could have stayed longer. We're looking forward to a return trip.
Great time in the bungalow. We had our 20 and 13 year old sons with us. They loved the upstairs. We ate a lot of lobster and had a very nice time. Thank you!!
Beautiful cozy get away on fishing cove. Spectacular star gazing. Comfortable and lovely for our small family of 3. Pet friendly.
Pam was very responsive, the house was very clean and well maintained. Just as I imagined - a little cottage on the sea❤️ It was comfortable for my hubby and two teenage kids - bonding. Thank You for the wine and doggy treats. Hopefully we will be able to score a few days like this on this slice of summer again!!!
Great view of the harbor, excellent placed for getting around coastal Maine, a perfect vacation place.
A very comfortable cottage with a wonderful view of the harbor and islands
If you are looking for a quiet get away, then you won't be disappointed. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful view from the backyard, and the cottage is charming, clean and comfortable.
Experience within and around this property is so exceptional that you will never leave it behind in your subsequent experience. Pam is a caring, communicative, upbeat, and available host, though provides you utmost privacy despite her living nearby enough to help out if something unexpectedly goes wrong. Property is an authentic Maine seacoast cottage, so if you seek this experience, this one's for you. Everything you need to do for yourself, and live simply by the salt water, across your stay is either provided at, or enabled by, this property. Surprisingly, TV here is WAY better than any Hampton, Hilton, et al which I regularly stay at (Pam shares her NetFlix subscription...). Two couples who know each other well would work here. I think a family of four could as well, though while I concur Pam's stated capacity, I think I'd find it tight with more, unless it was hot enough to spend most of your time outdoors. Good parking for one/two vehicles, and easy/breezy to find from Route 1 North (only three turns once you exit Route 1, and most of the run is on one Route number). Drive in/out of Corea is reminiscent of Vinalhaven roads, only wider/better/faster/straighter. Corea overall reminds me of Round Pond, Maine. Much good flora/fauna and hiking. Frenchmans Bay Conservation maintains a number of great water's edge hiking trails all over the Schoodic Peninsula, several in Corea itself. Stay here for Columbus Day, and run 25 miles up to Pea Ridge in Columbia for the best fall vista you'll ever see, Run the other way 30 minutes, and you're in Acadia National Park. Don't even leave the cottage, and you'd still be happy.
Wonderful bungalow I’m a perfect setting. So peaceful and relaxing!
Pam was an excellent host even leaving a bottle of wine for us! The cottage was clean and had plenty of towels, the beds were already made, and the kitchen has plenty of cookware and eating-ware! So many extras throughout the cottage and was the perfect size for our family. The breathtaking views were the first thing we noticed when we pulled up. We will hopefully have the opportunity to stay here again! Highly recommend staying here!
Just what we were hoping for! We throughly enjoyed the beauty, peace and quiet. Communication with our host could not have been better. Pam informed us of the area and we were excited to be in the little fishing bay of Corea. She was able to have fresh lobster waiting for us and the kitchen was well appointed with pots and dishes. We enjoyed our morning breakfast on the screened porch and evening campfires. As my brother-in-law said,”It don’t get better than this!”. It was the best part of our two week New England vacation!
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy waterfront cottage with our young boys. The upstairs was airy and perfect for hanging out playing card games and reading on a rainy day. The yard was fun for them to run, play, swing, and watch the boats. Comfortable bed downstairs and the heater kept the house warm on a chilly rainy day. Small kitchen for making your own meals which is great bc the area stores and restaurants are limited with their hours (more than a larger town). Pam is very nice and communicated very quickly over messages. :) I definitely recommend this spot if you want slow and peaceful vacation life! The Pickled Wrinkle was a great little spot with lots of natural/organic offerings. Chapter Two was a neat gift/book shop too.
The cottage was adorable and the view of the harbor and fishing vessels awesome. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The area is quite so you can hear yourself think and enjoy the stars. Loved it and will be going back.
Pam’s cottage was quaint and peaceful. Corea is a quiet harbor off the beaten path - a great place to get away from it all. Pam was very responsive but left us alone. We recommend Pam’s cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
My husband and I stayed in this property between May 22 - 26th. We did not anticipate the chilly weather, therefore, did not have the appropriate gear, however, the bungalow's heating system was enough to keep us warm. The bungalow is small and can accommodate about 4 adults, but there isn't a shared/common space with the exception of the kitchen and the patio area. It's clean and have most of the comforts of home. We especially loved the fact that we could have our 80lb dog stay in the property with us! One more thing, unlike Bar Harbor, Corea is very a quiet, sleepy little town so if you are looking to stay close to a big tourist area, this property won't be for you. But if you want some peace and quiet with a great view of the docks/harbor, do check this place out!
