The apartment was ideally situated in a beautiful old building, just metres away from the busy Corso Vittorio Emanuele, but nonetheless quiet and peaceful. The owner, Laura, met us there when we arrived quite late at night, and it was reassuring to know that she lived in the nextdoor apartment. We particularly appreciated the coolness of the covered terrace and the air conditioning in both the lounge and the bedroom, as we had slightly underestimated how hot it would still be in early September. From the apartment in the old city, we were able to explore everything on foot - museums, galleries, churches, gardens and markets. Two highlights were the excellent archaeological museum and the museum of puppetry, combined with a visit to one of Palermo's three remaining puppet theatres. All in all, we loved Palermo, and the apartment could not have been in a better position.

The apartment is perfectly located in town, with a well equipped kitchen, ac, and 2 patios with views over town. It worked out perfectly! Laura met us at front and showed us around. Very secure! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

This is an amazing apartment, located within walking distance to numerous restaurants, historical sites, transport and shopping areas. However, the best features is the apartment itself. Don't expect 5 star luxury, if you are looking for this you are in the wrong place. Laura has provided a very comfortable, tidy and spacious apartment with everything you need to enjoy yourself. As for Laura she was a very accomodating host who ensured we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Only one negative, if you have a problem with stairs be aware that there are a number of flights before you reach the apartment but think of the extra exercise you need to work off all those Sicilain Canollies you are going to eat!Would we stay here again? Most certainly, thanks Laura!

The apartment was so perfectly located for walking to the major sights of Palermo. Staying with Laura seemed very much to be living as an Italian, entering the building through heavy wooden doors, into a cobblestone small square with a animal capped fountain. Everything was spotless and our stay very comfortable. The balcony would have been well-used but with the chill of winter, there was really no occasion. Laura is a gracious and welcoming host!

Our stay in Palermo was made much more pleasurable by Laura, our gracious host. She was helpful, friendly and full of information on the history, culture and food of Palermo. We are very grateful to her. She was present, yet respectful of our privacy. We went in January, but we were very comfortable in the warm and fully equipped apartment, which is well situated in the beautiful historic centre of Palermo. We would recommend without hesitation this apartment to anyone wishing to visit Palermo and surrounding areas. Thank you Laura and God bless you!

My family and I stayed in this apartment in October/November 2014 during our unforgettable trip to Sicily. The flat is immaculate, large and perfect for vacation. The museums and historical places in Palermo are reachable by walk. Small shops, markets, bus stops are within few minutes by walk. The kitchen is equipped well, bedroom upstairs is big and the large dining/sitting are has flat TV and Wifi and large sofabed and dining table. Two verandas can be used for sunbathing or dining. This is a perfect place to explore Palermo and nearby towns and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. We are grateful for the host for her understanding and assistance. Thank you Laura!
