PLEASE NOTE:
The Facade Project - 2 Collins St, Melbourne
Scaffolding:
There is ongoing construction of the scaffolding on Spring St and Collins St.This will involve intermittent noisy drilling and jackhammering. Working hours are from 7 AM to 3 PM. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Stage 2 of the scaffolding is ongoing which concentrates on tower 3 on the collins street end. It will have less impact on our apartment as the builders won’t be directly working next to our apartment. There will still be some noise that travels throughout the building though. This section of the building is the rest of the work and is estimated to be completed by the end of July 2023.

First of all the apartment is on the 1st floor of an office building and right next to the men's washroom. The building directory has this apartment listed as an architects office. The building is poorly maintained and you literally have to step over street people sleeping on the stairs leading up to the building. Because it's on the first floor you hear everything from people talking on the sidewalk to excessive traffic noise. It is a very busy street and right next to the subway station so its very noisy. After waiting and one hour and half on the steps for someone to let us in we got into the apartment and there was a 1/2 roll of toilet paper and two towels. Called management and emailed twice and the manager eventually brought over toilet paper and two more towels 24 hours later. Everything is cheap obout the place. The couch was filthy, the windows were filthy. Also there is only one window out of four to open and it only opens 25% of the way. It gets stifling hot in the apartment. Management has one cheap fan that sort of works, but when the temperature in the place is in excess of 85 degrees with no air flow......well good luck getting to sleep. (and did I tell you about the traffic and sidewalk noice. Management/owners should turn this apartment back into an office like the rest of the offices on the floor. This is no place for an apartment and definitely no place for elegant one at that. Management was very difficult to deal with. Complained daily. VRBO support was little help.
Lovely property in a great location. Close to MCG and Princes Theatre. Compact apartment but has everything you need for a short stay.
