San Juan, Puerto Rico
Charming remodeled 1 bedroom/1 bath on second floor of a colonial house (over 200 years!) on Sol street, a quiet residential area of Old San Juan. High ceilings. lots of light. Kitchen fully equipped, gas stove and large refrigerator. Hi-speed internet (optic fiber). Two private balconies overlooking Sol st. With 17 solar panels and two Tesla batteries no worries about power outages! Water cistern on roof. Walking distance to everywhere in OSJ. You will love it!
I stood in this charming apartment in old San Juan for the Lola challenge race series this past weekend. Very walkable to each starting line which was a plus. The host Lourdes made sure our stay was pleasant and checked in on us to see if we were on k and if we were in need of anything. The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. I would definitely stay again!!
Terrific hosts! Friendly to deal with, knowledgeable with excellent suggestions on parking & restaurants, responsive to our needs. The place is perfect for a couple or three. Clean and cool, with cute balconies.
We had a great stay, the property is located in the middle of Old San Juan which was perfect for us to explore the area by foot. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed.
This was a comfortable space. Great if you are looking to be in the center of night life and the old city. Not very close to beaches, so don't stay here if that is you primary reason to come. It is a second floor walk up, so be prepared to lug things up and down as needed. The space was very clean, but the furnishing are a bit worn. I would stay here again if needing to stay in Old San Juan.
This was a perfect location for visiting old San Juan. The apartment had all the facilities and was extremely quiet. The owner is a charming lady and lives downstairs in case of any urgent needs (which we did not have). We would definitely stay there again.
This is a very pleasant apartment--spacious, artsy and in a great location. You can walk to anything in Old San Juan. Bed is comfortable; kitchen is well equipped; living room is cozy. And, of course, the balcony is lots of fun.
The apartment was in a perfect location for taking advantage of Old San Juan. Despite being in the thick of it, it was quiet and cool inside the house.
Perfect location, beautiful home.
The reviews don't lie! This apartment was in the perfect location. Right in the middle of Old San Juan. Every restaurant and small shop was within 4-8 minutes walking distance. I think the most I walked was 12 minutes to a super hidden cafe that had the best coffee I've ever had. The apartment itself was perfect. Every morning I walked over the the balcony and opened the Spanish style French style doors to let in light and air. It was beautiful. The whole apartment was clean and ready to use. Our flight landed very early and the host was more than accommodating and let us drop our bags off early. We rented a car with Payless and I would do it with them again. They are outside of the airport(about 5 min away), but they have a shuttle that takes you to and from the airport to the car rental for free. Just make sure you have you car insurance declaration from back home so you dont need their coverage (but call your insurance company first..let them know you are traveling to Puerto Rico and they will let you know if you will be covered). Just like everyone else says. You cannot park on the street the apartment is on. It's hard to find parking, but it can be done for free if you drive around like 10 minutes. Do not. I repeat do not park where there are yellow, blue, red or white curbs. And if you do find a curb with no color, make sure to read the signs from corner to corner. Some spots are only open the the public from 7am-7pm and then its residential parking 7pm-7am. The tickets are $250, so head my warning. If you do get a parking ticket you can pay it half cost at the bus station in old san juan. There is an office somewhere in that building.
Quite street, great management/owners who were very helpful. Bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything needed for a week or so stay. Very easy to get to from the airport via quick 20 minute cab ride. Many restaurants and bars in the area, all within walking distance. Very walk-able area, don't rent a car, because you will not be able to park (and you really don't need a car, Uber was at most 10 minute wait, and that was at the busiest time of day, normally less than 5 minutes to get a ride).
