Arrival and checking in

We will alert you of the key safe code at your check in time of 5pm on the day of your arrival via the App followed by a text and then email. Please remember to have downloaded the App before you set off from home for your holiday. If your property is in an area of no reception, as long as you have downloaded the App, it will show you the key safe code at check in time. Please ensure the app is  set to 'auto update' on the app store.

The keys will be placed in the key safe at the property ready for check in, so you are free to arrive at the house anytime from the check in time onwards. The key safe is on the left hand wall in the parking space. It is marked Ocean Seascape. To open, dial the combination on the key safe and press the sides to open. You will find a key in here to open the front door. The blue capped key opens the main door to building, the black capped is the door to apartment and the white capped is for the back door. Please always leave a key in the key safe box when you go out during your holiday in case of emergencies, thank you.  Departure and checking out

On the day of departure, please vacate the property by the check out time of 10am promptly. There will be a strict £45 fine for every 30 minutes you go over the check out time. This includes moving your car from the parking space.

When you leave on your day of departure, please lock the door and ensure you leave a set of keys in the key safe box and jumble up the numbers for security.

We ask that you text the housekeeper 24 hours before you leave the property to give them an estimated time of departure. You will find their contact details under the final dropdown heading on the app. It would be great if you could also confirm by text when you have left. If you can't see the housekeepers number below, please ensure the app is updated to the latest version.

It would be fantastic if you could place a review either on our website by going to the property details of where you have stayed and writing a review or on the website you used to book the property. Also what we'd really like is to stay in touch; we regularly use Facebook to post new 'up and coming' properties and last minute special offers so it would be great if you could find us and 'like' our page.

N.B. On your departure at the end of your holiday, please ensure the property is left neat and tidy, outside area swept of any sand left during your stay, dishwasher emptied and all rubbish bins emptied and refuse removed from the property.

Do a last sweep of the house for left items. If any spillages or accidents occur during your holiday, please contact us immediately so we can attempt to rectify the issue as soon as possible. Excessive cleaning or difficult to remove stains may incur an extra charge. How to find Ocean Seascape

Below you will have the directions and other arrival information which should get you to the front door easily.

For SatNav and supermarket delivery purposes etc, the address of your holiday home is:

Flat 2 (ground floor), 1 West Place, St Ives, TR26 1JF

Directions
Follow the A30 until you reach the roundabout at St Erth that asks you to take the 2nd exit to St Ives on the A3074. Take this exit.
Go straight over the next two roundabouts, keeping to the right on the second roundabout into Lelant
Follow the A3074 through Lelant and Carbis Bay
Follow the road down into St Ives; passing a Tesco (your nearest drive-to supermarket…) and the Tregenna Castle on the left.
On reaching the Harbour Hotel Spa, follow the road to the right; you are now on The Terrace. Follow this road past the bus station, down into Tregenna Hill (where the shops start). As you get near to the end of Tregenna Hill, opposite The Hain Line (Wetherspoons pub) on your right, you will see a turning on the left. Turn left here in the direction of the cinema.
Carry on up the hill past the cinema, Kidz R Us Theatre and laundrette. At the top of the hill, you will come to a mini roundabout, turn right here onto Bullens Lane.
Go up this hill and then turn right at the top of the hill. Continue for less than 100 yards and then turn right onto Clodgy View (it's just before Porthmeor Hill goes downhill). Continue along Clodgy View (with the cemetery and sea on your left and houses on the right)
Drive along Clodgy View which in turn becomes West Place. Number 1 West Place is practically opposite the pedestrian access to Barnoon car park (or between the exit to the pay and display car park at Barnoon and the smaller permit only car park next to it).
You can pull up directly in front of the apartment into your parking space to unload.
Access to the back gate is via Barnoon Terrace, you will see an alley way leading to the rear gate of the property. Please note the code to the back gate key safe is 0809 - the key must be put back in immediately as the window cleaners use it. This access is ideal when returning from the beach in order to wash off sandy feet and wetsuits Parking

You have a private parking space directly outside the apartment for one car. Please allow enough space when parking for the wheelie bin to be moved freely as the owner arranges for it to be put out on bin day and returned to the property also.

As when parking anywhere, you do so at your own risk.

If driving an electric vehicle we ask that you please DO NOT charge your vehicle using a portable charging cable from the property. The property is not covered for this under the insurance. The nearest charging port can be found at Tesco in Carbis Bay. For more information on this and other EV points, please see 'Getting Around' on our 'Area Guides' via the Orange Roofs website. WiFi

The router for Ocean Seascape can be found on a table adjacent to the TV in the lounge.

If you have a problem with the broadband:

1). Check the wireless connection on your equipment and re-connect if necessary.

2). The Power, Broadband, Internet and Wireless lights on the router should show permanent green. If they don't, turn off the router at the socket and leave for 30 seconds before turning back on.

Let us know if the problem persists and and we will see if it is something the provider or owner can help with. Bins

The refuse is collected by a private collection company called HM and the collection is ordered by Orange Roofs. HM collect the rubbish on your departure day and this is arranged by us.The wheelie bin is a blue bin located to the front of the property, labelled 'Flat 2'. The code is 1066.Please DO NOT put any items loose in the wheelie bin. Ensure rubbish is BAGGED correctly - See instructions below. We do leave some spare bags however you may need to purchase further if you have a large amount of refuse.

Recycling:

• Please use WHITE/ CLEAR bin bags for all DRY recyclable items • All dry recycling items (cardboard, plastic, glass, tins and paper) can be mixed in one bag, however the recycling items can not be mixed in the general waste bin bag. • Once this is full or before you leave, please securely tie the bags and place in the wheelie bin. The recycling bags and general waste bags are both collected from this bin and sorted at the bin depot.

Non-recyclable waste:

• Please use the bin with BLACK bin bags for all non-recyclable waste. • Once this is full or before you leave, please securely tie the bags and place in the wheelie bin. • Both the general waste bags and the recycling bags are collected from this wheelie bin and they are sorted at the bin depot.

Accidents happen! If you break a glass or any dishes, please report to us so we can replace the item but, and most importantly, please wrap these up separately before disposing in the bin. Help us to avoid another accident, the rubbish in St Ives is collected by hand and so sharp, broken glass or ceramics is a real danger to Vaughan and Tristan, our bin men.

Please ensure nappies are not put directly into the bin as rubbish is hand collected, ensure they are into a black bin bag first.

N.B Please do not leave bin bags outside or next to the wheelie bins, as they will be ripped apart by the seagulls. Please let us know if you need us to organise an early collection. Window Cleaning

The window cleaners in St Ives can start early (from 7am) in order to complete their rounds before the roads become too busy. Please be aware that the scheduled window clean may fall within your holiday dates and so you may hear a slight sprin

We needed a break having worked hard over the lockdown period as we are both in the care sector. Enjoyed our stay but the hills are a bit of a challenge. Glenis & Sue.
